  1. Best was a 12.14, MPH was 130 but traction issues getting of the line was hurting me bad, best 60 ft was 2.1 something. Had a ball anywwy, even got a red light once when I eased of the hand brake a bit in stage.
  2. Nope, still waiting for some happy offset, happy price 16 x 9 rims to suit the boat. The 255/40 17 Hankook RS3,s should be a bit better than the 245/40 17 Dunlops Z1 Star Specs I used last time as they are a little bit wider (10mm LOL) and softer with a lot less camber. I want these please Mr post man.... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T%2FA+Drag+Radial+2&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=55R6GFTADR2&tab=Sizes
  3. You need a US postal serviice that will send them, a guy from work has one, they send it to the US postal forwarding address which will then forward them on to here. It costs a bit to set it up but it still works out cheaper for most goods, Australian distributers are raping us blind. Ill post up the company he uses tomorrow.
  4. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Yokohama&tireModel=ADVAN+Neova+AD08&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=635WR8AD08&tab=Sizes Around $1500AUD a set delivered Shop Smart, Shop S Mart
  5. Im having the need for some boosting, anyone else going, Ill be in the Silver boat, if you see me say hi. Ill race you for coffees (Disclaimer: this offer is only open for RWD registered cars on street tyres). White with one sugar please.
  6. Its the blantant stuff that erks me, his class states the car must be standard with only a few mods here and there, but he is up against cars that have the dash gutted, carbon bonnets, doors, boots, guards, wings, splitters, big boost and stuff. But I 100% agree that super lap should be the best of the best, why would I want to pay money for something I can see every weekend at a race track near me, I want stupid fast cars with every bell and whistle. They should have two groups, insanely fast and stupidly insanely fast. Im just pissed that I missed it because work thought it would be better for me to be living out in the range for a couple of weeks. FTA
  7. Its like the other rules and regs Ive seen that say the car must be registered and have a engineers cert for any modifications to run in SVD, Ive never been asked to show a cert once. If the car is meant to be regoed it should at least look like it could pass a slip. Im only a occasional weekend warrior but it seems, at local super sprint events anyway, you pick the class you think you would be competetive in and go from there, Im only there for fun but I feel bad for the people running to the rules in their group whilst others blatently disregaurd the rules and enter their car in the wrong group. A friend has a reasonably standard WRX who plays by the rules but others in his class have cars that are so far away from that class its not funny but they are still entering the same class as him. He says its cool but you can tell that it guts him, at least he is cool in the knowledge that he is doing it right and the others are cheats.
  8. It's more of a lifestyle change, but do go stupid on diets or supplements, people end up relying on them to much, just try to limit you carb intake a bit and keeep active and you'll be fine.
  9. You needs some muscles, do more body weight exersizes. And drink more beer. ABS is for cars to stop the wheels locking up. Seriously though, Good work mate, Ive gone from 87 and feeling fat and shit to 79 and Im feeling much better.
  10. Paint it body color for the "its stock look" Mine is a FRP though , and it has big arse Aerocatch locks on it so its not as stealthy as it once was, but at least now it wont fly up at speed.
  11. This is the one way valve This the hot side head drain/vent which goes to the turbo drain Hot side head fitting Front 25 head drain blocked This is the regulator that was fitted to drop the oil pressure from the TOMEI from 140 psi @ 6000rpm to 105psi at 6000rpm From the regulator a bleed line goes to the sump This is the fitting in the side of the head that has the restrictor, the restrictors in the block are both blocked off, this feeds the head oil, it takes 5 minutes to swap a restrictor, another external line geos to the VCT. The 25 head has 26 covers with mines baffles, the head vents to the catch can Via -12 fittings, the catch can has 2 30mm filters under the pod cover plate. Time for a Scotch................... .
  12. The oily water in the catch can gets there by the little bit of oil and heat sucking the water out of the atmosphere, Im not saying you should have a heap of water in it but it does get in, expecially when the catch can doesnt drain back it will build up over time, and due to the fact that the inside of the catch can doesnt get very hot the water doesnt cook off. Put some oil on the stove and heat it up and then let it cool 10 or 20 times, the oil will turn watery when it cools, simple physics is simple. The same happens in the sump but because the sump oil gets hot it cooks off the water. This alsois why big deisel engines have fuel/water seperators, the deisel in the tank gets warm and when it cools it absorbs water. Put even simplyer (?) sit in you car on a cold day, the windows will fog up, this is due to the air inside is warmer than the air outside thus causing condensation.
  13. Im taking the car to work this weekend to put on the maintanance ramps, Ill take some photos of it when its up there and the undertray is off.
  14. Thanks mate, it was something so simple in the end, so simple we didnt even concider it, D'oh!
  15. Finaly sorted my oil problems, my return line to the sump and the hot side head drain/vent fittings were to low on the sump, on hard right hand corners the oil would push UP the drain/vent. In essance I had a - 12 restrictor filling the head and a self filling catch can on anything that involved turning right. With the catch can return line having the one way valve and the head drain/vent being moved to the turbo oil return all issues were solved. The drain/vent on the cold side are right at the top of the sump and are not causing any issues. I did a new PB of 1:52 at the creek last Sunday too, after doing 2 sessions of testing I got up it a bit on the 3rd and the car loved it, not a drop of oil anywhere. Im stoked, FINALY.
  16. What was the build date of the tyres, did they sell you old stock ?
  17. The rest of you guys dont stand a chance with my awesome paint skills.
  18. They do look good going around a track
  19. Cars should be made to comply with rules and regs from country of origin, its a world event is it not, if rules were to follow CAMS how would some of the Japanese or American cars get on, would they rebuild their cars to suit, or just not come. This is a hard topic to iron out to to there being so many variables. The safety side of things is through most important though, we,don't want drivers or spectators in any danger that could be prevented by some simple engineering safety regulations. That's my 2 cents anyway, work is the devil and it looks like I'm missing out on going this year.
