  1. If it was original it would be worth more than a run of the mill R33 GTR. If it is with the guards and doors and stuff, FFS someone go look at it and give us some feed back. Or bring it to Sydney and I might buy it. http://j-spec.com.au/featured/1998-Nissan-Skyline-GTR_sedan_Autech_40th_Anniversary-15503.html
  2. Slightly more road noise than I would have thought for a hi po road tyre, but grip in wet and dry so far is excellent, well worth the slight raise in road noise, lucky the 044 no rear seat and induction noise drowns it out. Will be getting some 265/40 17 for my track day rims for sure, I just need the car working properly so my old Dunlop DO1Js finally wear out.
  3. The CONTACT US link on rehearing site, www.tirerack.com
  4. Just read up on it, no more left and right hand discs, and more off gassing apparently. Easy on the machining as they dont need to tool up for 2 different sides so they save money on manufacturing, will we see it at the shop, I doubt it. Extra off gassing is good if its needed I suppose. Yes, new things scare me......................
  5. They changed the style a while ago Ive been told, old style had the wipper slot going to the edge of the disk where as the newer ones didnt, like mine. Are these new ones more efficient at removing built up gasses? Whats the price difference, are these replacing the DBA 4000 or are they just another line.
  6. Or diabetes, as I to partook in the large quantitys of sugar and caffeine, felt sick later on as I normally don't drink fizzy drinks, unless of course there is alcohol in it. I'll be there at some stage on Friday to as leave has been approved, a large bag will be needed for all the t-shirts and stickers. And fizzy drinks.
  7. It's up to the quak reading the scan, I went front one saying there may be a small one on the left, then after a month and with a new scan and doc I was booked into hospital for a bilingual hernia operation. Happy endings are for the win, BUT, all I meant was doing it yourself, the massage that is not the happy ending.
  8. 2 weeks of rest, if you've torn it, 3 months if its a hernia. There is some good yoga for your abdo you can still do but avoid stretching to far or putting to much strain on it, also local massage can help.
  9. Usually there is a first timers lap at the beginning of the day where a experienced driver will show you the braking points and lines, my first day was with SAU at MDTS, from there I did days at Oran Park, Wakefield and Eastern Creek, Im loving it, though I should have focused on learning the stock car first and then upgraded the brakes suspension and kept the power upgrading till later, but no as I'm stupid and now have a overpowered car with a underskilled driver. And yes its stupid fun. My mantra is," All The gear with no idea"
  10. Have a look at oil control in the frequently asked questions in the forced induction thread.
  11. LOl, yes my Arsehole does smell better than your breath, thanks for asking.
  12. ??, why the stupid comments, if you don't want to buy it don't post sh it, looks like a Ok tow car at a Ok price. Good luck with the sale
  13. I 100% agree with keeping it regoed, the money wasted on the rego makes up for the dick around getting it re regoed, also you have no insurance when it isnt regoed. regoed regoed regoed
  14. But if I had the money its what I would buy.
  15. Me and my daughter will be there on Saturday, it will be a awesome day as usual, as long as the drifting doesn't hold up The proceedings like last year, but then I don't really like drift anyway. Hope they go back to the t shirt suppliers from 2009 as the 2010 shirts were poor quality. Then it's the Muscle Car Masters on 3-4 September. Sweet.
  16. Quit smoking, I did, you will feel better and not smell like vomit.

  18. Call me on 0400 005 960, Eastern creek sound like a perfect meeting spot, you can have a look and I can watch as my car will not be ready then. Mark.
  19. Bloody cheaters, wish I had this traction thing with high RPM launch, stupid physics.
  20. I reference Wiki when Im doing reports, my bosses get a laugh out of it.
  21. 10W-40, The motor has done maybe 2000k of road use, and only about 12 laps at Wakefield 3 sessions of 4 laps super spints and 6 laps of Eastern Creek (but in the wet), so not even getting hot, catch can is being redesigned as more of a oil air seperator style of thing and restricors are being changed to a 1 mm at the rear (whats in there now) and blocking the middle one (has a 1mm in here), the VCT drain is being reconnected and the drains are being rerouted to the left hand side of the sump(VCT has a 1mm restrictor). Hopefully that fixes the problem, if the lifters get noisey the spring will go back in the Tomei pump to give it some more oil as it was removed to try and stop the oil surge before but that was unsuccessfull. Goes in again tomorrow for the next week or so. So with a new TO4Z, recoed gear box, new clutch and the oil under control I may be able to get some fun hot laps in with the new motor, finally. Hopefully.
