  1. Great news WA guys. Glad they didn't pass it for you. Nah..... F**K the stupid politicians that make the stupid rules up... I want my kids to breathe clean air AND drive modified cars. FTMFW...
  2. Good time there Sledge. Pity I couldn't make it... Let me know how the car is!!!
  3. Can I just say: THANK YOU FOR READING THE WHOLE THREAD and not asking the same question over and over again!!!!!
  4. I think hiring an automotive engineer for a couple of hours for a Q&A might be a bit of fun. Small Entry fee at the door perhaps??
  5. Hmmmm.... By the looks of the car you can judge whether Toyota have made a safe car or not? BAHAHAHAHAhhahahahahahhaha.
  6. Nope not usually. It's typically the best way to have a legal car, and when you hit the track you take it out. The other time it might be useful is if the neighbours are complete twats, and you want to stir them up a bit, you take it out. Give them a blip of RB goodness off the limiter while they are yelling saying they are going to kill each other etc. All you can hear is that beautiful music of 6 cylinders humming in progression of chaotic melody. Certainly drowns them out. I recommend it.
  7. If you've already got a 2" exhaust, then yes, to get it to fit would be fairly straight forward for any exhaust shop. I recommend you ask someone with a similar exhaust about noise. I reckon it would be loud though.
  8. It's got a 2" inlet and two 2" to 3" outlets (tapered shaped) I reckon it wouldn't be that bad, but if it's a turbo car 2" is too restrictive It sounds like you've got a NA car?
  9. Got any examples?? Not sure they make something like this, but would be happy to be proven wrong
  10. You mean an oval with twin outlets? Or an oval with twin 3" outlets. I don't think they make these... Twin pipes out of the one muffler usually works quite well as it attenuates certain frequencies.
  11. C'mon guys... Reliable HR31 with silver top!!
  12. I don't think that's a new rule... You can supposedly modify the front removable bumper (ie larger hole), but structural changes to the sheet metal underneath is a no-no. (at least that is my understanding) You could get an engineer to sign off on the modification though (as I did!)
  13. Market is bloody slow. Don't think anyone is buying cars at the moment
  14. The piper cross filters are just a piece of green foam too. (or is it blue). Supposedly they are excellent in particulate filtration AND flow. (or so their website says!!!!)
  15. I'm really surprised that most of these Car magazines don't employ an automotive engineer to compliment/edit the stories/testing/regulations they present. I read fast fours/Hot fours/High perf. imports and got sick and tired of the supposed 'engineering' principles they were presenting as gospel. Most of their testing wasn't controlled, and most of their results were bogus.
  16. Got the proof from an independent source to back up your claim? (website???)
  17. Bit of a price difference from 15K though! Congratulations on the purchase of a DR30! MAG86. Now did you want to complete your collection with my HR31?
  18. Carefull with the EPA though, because all oil loaded filters are a no-no. I'm running a dry Blitz and recommend it.
