Change the rubber mounts. Also the exhaust needs restriction to remove the noise. The 3" tip is too free flowing, and therefore the muffler doesn't work as well as it should. Get another muffler with a 2.5" tip

I like the C34 better than the M35.... Because I can afford a C34!!!!! (unless anyone wants to give me more money or buy my HR31?)

I agree with XRATED. Strut brace is a good idea too. Even replacing the castor rod bushes with new items, (such as Nolathane), and replacing the ball joints on the base of the struts/end of LCA makes a fair bit of difference too. My HR feels quite nice now these items have been replaced. If you are in Melbourne Quadrant (in Berwick) is the agent for Bilstein. They can check your shocks and service them etc.

I highly recommend the Bilsteins. They are a great shock. you don't want to go too low in the back end. The semi-trailing arm geometry goes to the $hitter if you go too low.

HAhaha You just have to make sure no one is watching It is a good workout though. Although pebbles hurt your hands, and bruises on your palms are common.

I don't have 20L of water in my rucksack! I only have 2 litres (a couple of drink bottles) Some of that gets drunk at the top. Probably only a couple of hundred ml, but a weight saving is a weight saving!!!

I climb the 1000 steps with 20kg rucksack on my back. Some of the weight is water so that when I reach the top I can have a decent drink and there's less weight on the decent Another good work out is finding real concrete steps or an incline, and go down on all fours and walk it that way. Full body work out. You can go up head first, and go down head first. Just watch your teeth if you are a gumby.

5000rpm? No it would've been around 3200rpm. These were modified (high flowed T28's) with a different intake wheel He was running 12psi. Nothing major.

You're running the factory turbo though aren't you? What sort of horsepower are you aiming for?

Plus factory comparison to factory comparison the GTR's usually have slightly less lag than the RB25's because of the twin turbo setup. I've driven an R32 GTR with Garrett T28's and the engine still had plenty of grunt and full boost by around 3200rpm. Was excellent. Mind you I haven't driven an R33 GTST so can't really compare.

Are you running an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator? (not that it makes that much difference) I'd agree with Status. The Nismo ones.

A bugger it. I'd go a 1972 Datsun 1600 with an SR20DET. Just run the factory motor with FMIC and 3" exhaust and it will out perform any lightly modified Silvia or RB25DET skyline Hi Waz/Dan!

I have to agree. When it comes to bang for buck the R33 GTST beats the S14/S15 argument (in my opinion) When it comes to power upgrades, I am a fan of the SR20, but agree with comments about RB motors being smoother. I've got an RB20DET in my HR31 and it's like a sewing machine. Extremely smooth. The SR is like a v8. Lumpy and noisy! I also agree that R33 = a Magnet for the police.
