Nah. Drive the 1600 to the track on semis. Stagea was bought to replace the HR31 I owned which was obviously a coupe. 1600 only has 2 seats so not very practical. Between the wagon and the 4 door 'coupe' I should have both bases covered. I'd be keen on fitting a tow ball to the stag, but didn't really want to tow 1080kg of 1600 and 600+kg for a tandem which I don't own yet...

I was going to leave the factory airbox in the engine bay, as I know they have nothing wrong with the amount of flow they can handle. Sway bars is a good one for sure. Exhaust is a tricky one. I want something quiet and preferably legal or close to in terms of CAT location. Is it possible (without having a Stagea in front of me - damn it, to put the CAT in the dump or close to?

Haven't got my M35 Axis Autech yet, but i'm already thinking of what to mod on it. Without knowing what may/may not require modification here's what I think so far (discuss!) Must haves: Get the english conversion on the 'TV screen' Full service (fluids etc.) Nice to haves: HDI FMIC Full exhaust High flowed turbo Open up the intake by removing the factory intake and making a custom version ECU re-flash

thanks for the feedback guys. I'm curious about the cause of modifications to the performance and hence the ability of the factory ECU to 'keep up'. If flashing is one of the methods of achieving stagea nirvana, then I guess I'm interested! If and when I finally get my car delivered, i'll jump on your bandwagon and start pursuing flashing. (i mean... re-flashing the ECU) Oh and Dale-o... Thanks for the feedback on the 'ol 1600. She's a keeper!!!

Sorry to ask a stupid question, but I assume Scotty's car is running aftermarket ECU (haltech piggy or what ever it was?) If you were running standard ECU, what would the benefit be? extra fuel economy is definitely a bonus!

See attached, it seems the 3.5L versions are the only ones to have this, but I'm sure it could be adapted to the 2.5L turbo?

Just had a look, and I'm looking for the top part (not the bottom part as shown) that has the extra opening at the front (where the "inspection hole" usually sits) The M35 3.5 litre stageas have this extra snorkel there.

Not legal, just ADR tested. They don't become legal until an engineer signs off on them!
