  1. None? I don't know of a racing seat that is reclinable. (someone prove me wrong?) If you are talking about 'race style' then that's different. I think the bloke earlier was trying to say that?
  2. I'll stick my 2 cents in and to agree with what others have said. Fixed back bucket seats are only legal if: 1. They are ADR approved (ie they have passed the ADR testing. Most Brides aren't to my knowledge, Sparco Pro 2000's are for example) 2. The mounting you have made in the car is signed off by an engineer. This includes aftermarket everything. Harnesses are legal if: 1. Your car was pre 1974 (perhaps 1976?) which from memory was the year the ADR's came in for retractable seat belts. Anything after this, and you aren't allowed to wear harnesses unless you are on private road/race track or they were a factory option. 2. The harness doesn't stop or hinder passengers entering/seating in the car if there is a passenger seat in the back for example. Typically you can get away from this by removing the rear seat and getting the car registered as a two seater. 3. The harness is only a four point, and is AS (Australian Standard) tested. Klippan or RPM I know are two harnesses which comply. They must have the common style clip mechanism, and must conform to the Vicroads/RTA/QLD government dudes/etc. fitment recommendations (ie so you don't snap your back in half with your seat when you have an accident) Fixed back seats are extremely comfortable (even doing 8 hour drives in Tasmania Targa roads on full boost with the missus as a passenger). Reversing is the only thing that I find is annoying. I've got Sparco Pro 2000's, Klippan harnesses and a whole lot of "It's legal Mr officer" in the glove box of my Datsun 1600.
  3. Just make sure you get someone who can TIG weld with nice looking welds. I can help, but i'm pretty expensive On a serious note, looks awesome.
  4. Thanks heaps! Appreciate the help. My screen was damaged during transport from Japan. Not sure who covers that, but I hope to hell it isn't me.
  5. Yup, thanks for that. Anyone else have placards on their car that has 18's from factory?
  6. Kind of back to the original question though, What is the range (if there is any) for the tyres for an M35. Ie what would be on the compliance plate? Does it differ from QLD to VIC? I know the above placard has 215's, in a 17, but my car has 18's from factory. SO, what is the range, and should this be on the compliance plate?
  7. Jules, you running 225's?
  8. Firstly, my M35 Autech is running 225/45/R18's I recommend Yokohama S-Drives and Bridgestone Adrenalins. Now for the thread Hijack: Just out of curiosity, I have been told commodores run 235/40/R18's and these are considerably cheaper in the same brand/style. (as in close to $70ea tyre!) Anyone run 235/40/R18 and have any problems with Scrubbing??? I'll be running the axis autech standard wheels
  9. PM'd. I've used Obriens before and they did do great job on the Datsun 1600. Fortunately, I was with Shannons, and they have a windscreen replacement built into the premium.
  10. Aside from the obvious of plugging into the OBDII port and then being able to monitor a whole bunch of stuff, is there anything else (such as intercept speed signal or something like that?) Does anyone have one or recommend one?
  11. Sorry to be so late on the group buy, but what do they do?
  12. S.E. suburbs!
  13. Hmm... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/M3...36#entry5197436 Seems the skyline is the same as the M35. Does anyone know a good windscreen fitter in Melbourne and what sort of price they would charge?
  14. Hi guys, Need to find someone that fits Stagea M35 windscreens. I've got my car with a cracked windscreen, and need to find out who would be able to stock/fit etc. the Stagea windscreen. It's got the heated windcreen wiper section too if that makes any difference... Out of interest, is the windscreen the same as the V35 skyline sedan/coupe??? Might help the local windscreen shops finding it in their system
  15. You guys have seen the M35 3.5L NA engine bays? They have the extra section removed from the air filter box. I wonder if we can buy that part???
  16. Any updates on intercooler kits? supposedly a Greddy kit (full kit for M35 including tubing) is around $1000US right this very minute.
  17. Nice one Ben.
  18. I passed the emission too (which is a requirement). But I kind of had it easy over you guys. Minimum 96db Can't remember the CO percentage, but it was higher than what you guys have to meet. That was it. The joys of owning a car pre 1974.
  19. Talk Torque Automotive Bill Malkoutzis PM me if you want his ph etc.
  20. Depends largely on the engineer too. My car is fully engineered and I had EXTENSIVE modifications. Adjustable Suspension/Exhaust/turbo Motor/ECU/FMIC/Modded Speedo/Bigger wheels+Tyres+brakes/Harnesses/Seats/etc. etc. All up cost was $1250. which included brake tests and 3 inspections. This also included a $300 fee for a call out to detail the list of mods. I'm happy as larry.
  21. And undercover bikes too.... They even have speed cameras masquerading as red light cameras...

    R35 Build

Out of curiosity, are you going to put some mesh or similar over your intercooler/oil cooler etc? Just to stop stones from eating it?
  23. Didn't 'Hack'. Was just checking the 'new posts' and away we went from there... Check this out: http://www.perthnow.com.au/news/national/n...u-1225890292548 It's interesting to note Macquarie Bank is launching a $275 million takeover bid for Redflex, the company who manufactures the new speed camera vans being rolled out in NSW as well as many of the fixed redlight/speed cameras used throughout Australia. Must be a profitable business??
  24. Welcome to VICTORIA guys. It seems you NSW guys are now going to be reamed just like us. I feel sorry for NSW joining the $hitness of bloody Victoria in the revenue raising.
  25. Actually, no I didn't
