  1. No different balancer part number listed for normal and N1 34 GTR.
  2. I can have a look and let you know, I have larger cams in mine so not entirely sure if mine will be any help if it affects it the idle at all. From memory (might not be correct) you need to let the car warm up to normal temp, disconnect the tps plug and wind the idle screw until it idles at 850-900rpm then connect it back up. If I had a datalogit I wouldn't mind doing my idle re learn again and hoping it fixes my minor hunting on start up, but considering mine is running e85 I let it warm up before moving anyways.
  3. Good to hear you are making progress. I'd be playing around with the iacv once it's warm, search for the thread and I believe that should sort it out. If I get a chance today I'll have a look at my idle figures and compare, but every car is different.
  4. Get a tune. My rb25 drove like crap with similar mods, most 25s don't like to be changed from stock unless you get them tuned. Question has been asked plenty of times, and it will come back to one thing. Tune!!
  5. My tps voltage was about the same as yours, I set it as it should be and I think it may have played apart in helping it. Adjusting the tps wont affect the tune, you are only telling the computer what position the throttle plate is at.
  6. Mine idled like crap when I changed to larger cams and my tuner tried a few different things and couldn't get it to idle right, 650-1200rpm. I tried different clean IACV's, disconnected the plug and tried resetting it, tps voltage and nothing really helped. I played around with the idle settings in the hand controller and it as a slight hunt for about 20 seconds and then idles at 800rpm, I have a lightened flywheel witch I do believe was causing the excessive hunting with the old idle values but its mint now. Ill be going back to a standard flywheel soon, not because of the idle hunt but more because its a pain in the arse to drive but I'm interested if the start up hunt still follows or not.
  7. I am keen to take this thing out and drive it, but I have spent so much cash this year to get me out last weekend and its let me down. I'm packing it away until I get back from Bali after the new year and get everything sorted out once I arrive back. I still need to get a suitable diff to bin the weldy, and get in one of the last 25 boxes Nissan have left in and fitted up.
  8. Haven't driven the car at all. Car was meant to do Malalla last weekend (Skyline nationals) but I have some steering issues. Was going to be a good test but yeah... Comparing the old graph with pon cams to this its interesting the larger cams make more low down power, even though the pon cams are "low down" Would be interesting to run the factory intake manifold and see how much more I would pick up down low. Camtech are the cams. Supplied through Garage 7.
  9. Current tune. Only difference is 268- 272 9mm cams to keep the vct and 22psi.
  10. Can I play? Bought my coupe and this oil cap was on top of the redtop engine, brought it across to the rb25 when I dropped it in. A little damaged but cause nismo ill run it still! Also I seen this sticker was available from Nissan a year or so ago, ordered it because it looked old school and cool. Tried re ordering one a few months ago when I seen Yahoo auctions had them listed at a silly price.. NLA now Wish I stashed a few away at a crazy price of about $15.
  11. Thanks mate. Comparing my old graph with pon cams it picks up better at different points over the rpm range, makes a little more power over the range too. I have also retarted the exhaust gear 2 degrees with the new cams witch I believe is helping the bottom end a little. She was trailered there and back, basically the engine, suspension, tyres and brakes will be a untested setup for nationals at the end of the month . I will report back then and hopefully have some better feed back. Cams were chosen for my new engine-that's in the build still and will be better suited IMO.
  12. Finally can join this club Engine: S2 RB25DET Unopened apart from cams. 13. Retuned today-had a few hiccups early on but ironed them out and Decs got down to business. Only thing that has changed from above is the pon cams have been changed for Camtech 268-9mm intake and 272-9mm exhaust. 22psi and dropping off to 18psi at top end. 326.9 kw ~ 546.8 nm Happy with the results, think I will leave it alone for a while
  14. Nah. Took me a year and a half to find a manifold, then another six months for a cover. You wouldn't believe how many people want to buy it off me haha.
  15. Even the bolts that hold the cover to the exhaust manifold are different to mine. Looks like someone has tried to copy it? Not sure but doesn't look like mine at all with the cover off. I know I have seen some Autech manifolds but I cannot remember what they look like.
  16. Over another year and another update. Don't know why I don update this more often and keep it simple reading.. So: Running full E85 and tuned at Garage 7 thanks to Decs. 293kw on 17 pound with the rear brakes locking. Going back before skyline nationals this year and letting him turn the boost controller on and see what she can really do New cams are Camtech 268 9mm intake and 272 9mm exhaust. Installed a Genuine timing belt as I didn't like the gates belt, plus working to Nissan I get things cheap Cheap 31 skidder got stripped and sold off. Kept the 3.0 as it was a good runner and I'm in the process of buiding a forged bottom end with a new rb25 head witch will get a good making over. CP flat top pistons, H beam rods, kings race bearings, ARP main and head studs, crank collar fitted, oil galleries drilled. GTR intake will be put on the 25 head and ill swap my injectors, GTSR manifold, turbo and computer across to get it running. Thinking ill get a full wire in link ecu and tune done as well, not really worrying about the engine for the time been as it will be the last piece to the puzzle. Rear wheel bearings and seals have been replaced too, they must have been the originals from the factory as they were really flogged. Having a welded diff in the rear I'm surprised I missed them. Evo rear brembos fitted thanks to alpha omega brake adaptors. Have done All Japan day again. Few months of driving and testing out the new set up. Dropped more things off at my painters to have painted, new rear end stickers were also done at this time. Have bought a r31house bonnet, N1 style rear lip to suit the coupe witch he has also painted. Last exterior piece to this puzzle was a set of Gram lights 57DR wheels in matt bronze. 17x9 plus 18 all round I believe really sets off this car now. Next year ill drop the car off to have the two tone painted basically everything except the front and rear bars, as well as the black waste bands down the side of the car. Bought a new 2015 Nissan xtrail for the wife and I. Got a good deal on it so we both jumped on the offer and couldn't be happier. I must be getting old because I enjoy driving the xtrail a little more than the 31 haha. Just dragged the car back from a mates place yesterday as I decided I needed a hoist to really go over every nut and bolt and have a better look underneath. Been on axle stands just doesn't cut it at home and glad I took it there, as I have missed some things that I may not have picked up. Plus it got the old girl out of the garage since Jan :). Im still ordering seals, rubbers and spare parts through work. Basically what ever I can get my hands on and Nissan have stock I'm getting. Probably word so many things I have missed, but that's what I get for updating it once a year. Skyline nationals in October is in my sites an I'm pushing really hard to make it in time, have to skimp out and use the welded diff witch I don't really like but I'm running out of cash quickly. I promise ill update this more! IMG_1817.mp4
  17. Maybe if your E85 absorbs enough moisture over time and you add a few packets of jelly to the fuel tank it will, but honestly it aint going to do shit.
  18. My car sat with half a tank of E85 whilst I had the motor and box out over four months. Starts and runs fine every time and the same fuel will still be in it when it leaves the garage in October, obviously I'll fill her up with fresh E but Iv never had a problem. Another point- That fuel has been sitting in my tank since last December. Plenty of people let it sit and never have issues.
  19. 17's? Also happen to know the offset on them?
  20. Thinking of selling my Tomei pon cams to suit the R33 engines (Non neo). Made 293kw on 17psi and comparing similar dyno graphs they help the top end not noise over as hard. Cams have done less than 5000km and are in great condition. These are a direct drop in with nothing else needed unlike their bigger brothers and still retain VCT. 256 8.5mm both inlet and exhaust $650 posted anywhere in Australia Pm me for more info
