  1. check your intercooler and vacuum hoses, could be a leak? A hose clamp or split hose?
  2. same as mine, works fine, so unless you've got a slammed car buy it cos it will do the job no problem. I also have SK suspension. 345mm centres etc and it fits easily. Plus it lifts the car up high enough so that I can slide my ramps under the front wheels [front bar is too low to drive up onto them]. Then I jack the back up and use my jack stands, ends up being over half a metre off the ground and level. Easy to work under then.
  3. Those that know me have seen enough of me, those that don't aren't missing much!! 30 years in the making, I had it at school [and being biker scum helps], I know its not 'fashion' these days, but I couldn't come at poo pants and hair gel. yeah, midges from standing water, lagoons, swamps etc along the side of the road as well as Urana Lake - which is half full for the first time in probably 20-30 years. Had clouds of them, my headlights were so dim I had to drive at 60=70 km/h until I could get somewhere to clean it. And Paul, if you order your car bra and then give it to me I'll 'customise' it for you no real problem atm
  4. I thought I should add a photo, it might help: It was on my return from Mt Gambier to my home town, a little bit over 900km in the day. Note that it only happened late evening/at night and all in about a 100km strip from jerilderie to lockhart. Note that I've already cleaned the lights and windscreen off, it was much worse. Thank god for the car bra. (And mods you can move it if you think its OT).
  5. I'm a bit perplexed - my Blitz Lm front mount intercooler was working fine. But last time I drove it it didn't seem to be working. My oil cooler was also having problems and I'm wondering if the two are connected in some way. Normally I get my full power and and my oil never goes above 80-85' but this time it was hovering around 90'. Any thoughts???? What do you think the problem is????
  6. yeah, $125 plus $103 is a bit of a 'one off' for me, but i'm still keen to give it a go. Not even sure if I would want to use all 6 runs, one or two would satisfy me for what I want out of it.
  7. looks like my lowly Gtst will be swamped by GTR's
  8. i reckon I might go to this, not often you get to open it right up and hold it flat...... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362234-temora-1000m-sprint/page__gopid__5787176
  9. I'm already a fully paid up member of SAU so I guess I'll have to ask someone for the forms. I'll email the organisers and get a form! Edit: did anyone post this in the NSW section? ! did it for ACT.
  10. I might turn up, have to check my work calendar, but I'm not that far away from it [180km]. Would be good to see what my Gtst can do. When do entries close? And what do i have to do to have a Level 2 Speed CAMS license? Is it OK for a general pleb like me?
  11. ^^^what he says and if you do get knock readings take it to a shop that has a Gizmo and get your readings checked against theirs, then you have a benchmark to work off. and with th pfc you get two birds with one stone = ecu and knock reader. Note that its not the best one, it even has issues with noise and vibration affecting the readings, but as long as you get your readings checked [to confirm that they are real and not noise] then you can use it. Thats what I did, I had knock readings of up to 130 and then had this checked against a gizmo which confirmed it. I fixed the knock and got it checked again and was also confirmed. I can look at my knock readings on my pfc hand controller and be reasonably confident that they are a good indicator - I believe in the readings.
  12. Might be better selling the ECU with these installed and then put the $$$$ towards getting a nistune/pfc/vipec etc etc Someone starting out will buy it as a first step performance upgrade???
  13. I wouldn't do a rebuild for that power.........I'd save my $$$$ and import an RB30 bottom end from Oz and do a rebuild on it instead. That way you not only get a tough motor but a bigger torque-er motor. In the mean time develop your RB25 with a view to move to an RB30. That is buy parts that you can transfer across to the RB30 when your ready.
  14. fuel delivery fades away, splutters etc, so its more likely to be electrical. If its an earlier gts25t then I'd think ignitor or loom. ppl on here have had issues with both ignitor boxes and plug looms befor do you have a turbo timer fitted? could be it as well?
  15. Or water in your fuel?
  16. interested in boot trim? condition and price pls?
  17. The head complete or bare, and what condition [you do say perfect] but mileage and such?
  18. would a std type but ss dump split system work, if so i can sell you the dump, you get the other flange welded on and your set? I have a ss split dump for s std turbo that I've had like forever and too lazy to sell. If it suits let me know.
  19. gough and gilmour maybe????
  20. You need to talk to somebody at Unigroup, they have a very good rep and will be able to help.
  21. I got one from Repco [chinese copy probably] low profile and $280, works OK and since I'm not a business it will only be used by me so occasional use.
  22. I used nickelcote, 10,000km later and all good.
  23. yeah, I would have been in on the GB, but didn't see it till too late.
