  1. Stealth means asking on an internet forum..................hahahha. Try mounting your switch under the dash somewhere? But one thing you don't want to do is have a switch that you have to bend to use - you need to be in your normal driver position and still be able to access it otherwise you'll look like your using a kill switch I have a kill switch off the ecu area and I also have a battery isolator switch on a remote. My alarm - you could say - is direct feed to the battery so it is unaffected.
  2. Your moaning sound could be the water pump or alternator on the way out
  3. And you can get away with say two pipe or flare nut spanners [covering 4 sizes] and they will fit just about every size you will come across in the auto world. So not a big expense really. I have Dowidat ones, top shelf stuff, had em for a while.
  4. Is it just spinning or have you rounded the hex head off?
  5. Mine is tapped for both t3 and t4, so if yours is the same then it would also have enough meat on it for this [a lot are already tapped for both, but some stood behind the door and so are only either t3 or t4]. Setting up for both flanges is a simple job, any machine shop could do it in a couple of hours and if you have your own tap and ie set you could do it yoursef pretty easy. They are one of the best flowing manifolds you can use and $500 is a good price.. GL with sale
  6. Yeah, thread was way too serious. My take: Global warming is real, its been happening for millenia. We may have helped it to happen this time, but it was likely going to happen anyway just not quite as quickly maybe. What can we do about it: 1. Panic and form Climate Change committees 2. Allow ppl like Al Gore to find a new career and make heaps of $$$$ which does nothing for any of us. 3. All go back to horses and Amish style living. 4. Have a war or stop all wars [i'm not sure which here]. 5. Stop all car racing and any other unnecessary burning of fossil fuels. 6. Make all our armies, navies, and airforce stop doing pointless stuff. 7. Ban Macca's [we all know that GW started with themanyway]. 8. Use renewable energy. 9. Make new taxes like Carbon ones 10. bans on all sorts of polluting things like cows farting etc But it won't help, cos global warming/climate change is a natural thing that occurs irrespective of what anyone does. BTW I'm an agnostic
  7. Its illegal to cut or grind the steel reo bar that supports the front panels. I don't think your moustache [if its the bit holding your number plate on?] is the reo bar prob just FRP or plastic, but why don't you just paint that bit black? The reo bar usually sits a bit higher than that, its above your blinkers. If your on P's then your car is not a turbo so it won't have a FMIC so there is no need to cut or mod anything. Usually you have to mod the reo bar to get a fatter FMIC in behind it. You shave off approx 5 mm from the underside lip but the top lip is usually never touched.
  8. And notice how the hand now fits around a Bundy Rum can............now thats evolution!!!!!
  9. thats high revving for 110km/h??? Is that where theory and practise are different??
  10. Lots of ppl call a standard manifold a low mount whereas its really a side mount. A low mount such as a HKS cast mani and some custom units, has the turbo underslung.
  11. Suzuki would be a good option for the GOR IMO........give you plenty of time to do the tourist thing and have a look about!!
  12. no such thing
  13. try lowering your gap to 0.8mm
  14. ^^^Maybe meant to say starts to come on at 3200??? Would be a little hard to believe that one is at full boost by then!
  15. Talk to Stao/Hypergear re turbo he is on here, do a search. Around $1500 give or take and bolt up to existing stuff. Other stuff - it depends on what you settle for - price depends on brand vs new vs s/h, vs quality etc etc but you could do it all for the $5K if your smart IMO.
  16. No probs, be gentle though, the plastic that the cirlip slides into is thin as and could be easily broken.
  17. One other tell tale.........a loud paint job with lots of graffix!!! Cop magnet..............
  18. Before I start pulling and prying.......... The plastic cover along the passenger side seat is broken, and I want to replace it. How do I get the large plastic knurled knob off that you use to adjust the recline on the seat? EDIT: Found the secret......it has a wire circlip and is set up similar to window winders on fords/holdens, no proper tool then you have to get in behind the knob with a couple of small screw divers and push it back off the shaft. Then the knob slides off.
  19. My car bra helps, they usually look at it and decide its just too much hassle waiting for me to take it off. I think staying cool, no mouthing off and your age helps as well. I've been pulled over for RBT heaps of times but that is it. I was even chased for an RBT once and no problems. I passed the RBT site and they didn't wave me in so I kept going. They chased me and pulled me over about 20km up the highway.......I was doing my 100kmh, I guess it took them a while to get to their car and get going etc and I have no idea what speed they did to catch me. They had no issues with me, the officer admitted that they didn't wave me in, but they must have changed their mind after I went past. I've never had to pop the bonnet, but even if I did I'd be OK unless they dug deeper or really knew their stuff - low mount HKS with a 3076 deep down, the bonnet is no problem.
  20. Been waiting for this.....the next step is to tune/map for the GTX but don't lift the boost. I reckon the ramp up will likely maintain its margin over the GT a bit better throughout the rev range . But I have a sneaking suspicion that the peak power [for 18psi] will be very similar. But the GTX would be a lively package on the street, an extra 30rwkw at 3500!!! I'm almost tempted to sell my GT and try one [but I have other plans involving a dirty 30, so this challenge is not for me].
  21. Hard to say, pretty hostile environment, any manifold gasket will cop a hiding. Esp if it was leaking. Just replace, its not a big ticket item.
  22. ^^^ But there's no fun in that!!! Or you could just buy a Prius = same same.
  23. I'd be careful and ensure that you get any seat mod engineered, I can see popo having a field day on this if you just do a back yard job. Esp. if you also do the passenger seat and are then involved in an accident - or sell the car and it is involved in an accident.
  24. Anyway modifying your exhaust restriction is the first thing you should do for any setup. And for yours Harey it the next step before you can consider any other mod that would normally yield or unleash more kw. ie there is no use doing other mods if your exhaust restriction is the defining feature. So IMO its a no brainer, the only question you have to ask is grind vs replace?
  25. The world is a safer place!!!!
