  1. ^^^puts hand up as high as can!!!! shouts mememememe
  2. Use the one that the std boost gauge uses. I think I used the one at the front of the plennum for mine and it works fine. I have HKS evc IV, water meth, a/m boost gauge, std boost gauge, on mine. The wastegate should go off the profec b box [assuming it has one like the HKS? near the aircleaner somewhere and then to the wastegate. The other side goes from the wastegate to the intercooler tubing nipple. I wouldn't bother running this across the motor to the other ones, shorter is better.
  3. This is for the ebay/defi look alike aftermarket gauges. Usually chinese stepper motor gauges with link wiring and sensors. Won't suit all gauges, but will be very similar.
  4. clublocks and kill switches...........so simple and yet nobody does 'em sympathy for the guy, but really there are no excuses [except for a flatbed truck and nothing beats that]
  5. pics of the head side by side showing valves would be good, get to visual the valve size and squish area.
  6. And here ya go!
  7. I had greddy's and they are a bugger for phantom loose connections. I ended up selling them on for some stepper motor ones.
  8. got 'em, will scan and send tomorrow at work!
  9. talk about jurassic park.....................2003!!!
  10. What I'm trying to say is spend only what you have to, don't go all out on that turbo, enjoy it for what it is...a cost effective solution, but not long term. If you over capitalise then you are wasting $$$$ that you will never get back - but then again thats cars anyway...lol
  11. I actually said not to over capitalise on that turbo.......its a cheap turbo built to a price to do a job.......but its not a long term keeper. So spout all you like, I told you not to waste your money>>>theres an old saying "you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear" and it applies here!
  12. The Greddy gauge? or standard dash?
  13. I've got some wiring diagrams at home for gauges and will have a look at them when I get there tonight.
  14. Check your fuild level for the PS. Take it to a shop, it could be the pump is on the way out. There is also a lock nut and bolt on top of the pump, this is the adjustment for the PS. Undo it and and then turn the bolt until it touches then lock it off.
  15. post in the WTB section and search the FS section for people wrecking 'Lines, there'd be 5-10 wrecks happening now.
  16. From under the car, pretty easy job. You'll need to replace the pipe. Bayonet fittings and hose are available from businesses like GCG. You'll have a bit of oil come out, so have a catch can and dropsheet under it.
  17. Great, just what we all need.........NOT!!! Bloody idiot.
  18. But then its not a Skyline, and I want my Skyline to be a Skyline. That is all your aircon and alternator and dash wires etc etc etc all plug in and line up. I've had engine conversion cars before and while the 'other' motors performance was better, it was a PITA when you went to o anything like turn your headlights on or believe the speedo and dash or use the aircon and even stuff like lining the gearbox and rear diff up so that you didn't chew out bearings and seals - its never that simple. I'm way over ever doing that again. However using the 3.4 you don't have any of those issues because its the same motor by the parent company but uprated. Everything fits, the engine mounts, the clutch, gearbox, wiring, you name it, it fits. And the cost may be a bit more [but not that much more than a normal RB25/30 with forgies etc] to start with, but you will get that back and then some in reliability and not having to mod or 'bend' other parts to suit. Of cause others will disagree, but it works for me.
  19. yeah, I was just being a smartarse!! But gotta admit that the price of the kit makes it affordable for the street - not just the track, you don't need a list of sponsors to buy it [justa healthy bank balance or CC]. Its tempting......
  20. +1 for a better turbo I wouldn't over capitalise on this setup, it'd be dead money. Make do with what you have and when you get a good turbo then you can spend $$$ on the changes that you need to make.
  21. can't understand why that housing hasn't sold.............anyone with a chokeaholic GT30 with the std rear housing should snap this up!!!
  22. yep, that is why I'm asking, cos I'm not so sure what it is.....a hiflow can be anything and we are allsaying that its being choked and I tend to agree, but I'm not so sure that the turbo is any good period, not just the hot side but the whole lot. I'm not disagreeing with you, I agree, and that is why I'm asking. Just cos he says it is a T04 and its been hiflowed doesn't mean jack.
  23. Spool says, so it must be true............ Rated at 1500 horsepower plus
  24. yeah your proabably right, but I've seen an oval bore before [but not in a turbo nissan I have to admit] where the rings are compressed at the top by the tight cross section and then you get big blow by for the other 80% of the cylinder where the rings aren't touching the bore. And those scuff marks are typical of this. And that is an 'induced' ring collapse. Also if this happens then your ring end gap is shot to hell and back as well.
  25. Certainly upstaged the Jag in Topgear...........and by inference and the STIG's hot lap many another supercar was left pondering the future!!!
