  1. I completely understand going for an RB30 on a GTR and Stagea due to the extra weight of the car. The GTS-t just isn't that heavy, E85/flex fuel setup is so much cheaper and will be grip limited everywhere with a GT-RS.
  2. Matt's result with a GT3071 is a bit of an outlying result to the top end (if memory serves??) so perhaps the higher number is more a reflection of dyno variance??
  3. shat itself or suffered undisclosed secret issues that could neither be confirmed nor denied while discussions with BW was ongoing?
  4. 98RON + GT-RS = grouse E85 + Gt-RS = super-grouse
  5. Sounds familiar. For sure you can do it with minimal amounts of oil dropping down but somehow there is always something that drips.
  6. Still the stock ecu? If so, then they run pretty fat and that will discolour the oil quickly.
  7. It will always drop oil on the diff and rails....always.
  8. You can buy a lot of E85 with the money you don't spend on an RB30. It's not as if the GT-RS is going to struggle to get an R33 GTS-t going from any rpm on pineapple juice.
  9. HG is the one that wants stock location hence the issues Brae are having, if I have read everything correctly.
  10. If the goal is stock location the HKS low mount isn't going to be the answer.
  11. TS housing would fit . If I had a highmount manifold, for science, it would go on. Since there was enormous difficulty getting the manifold, oil drain etc fitted with an RB25 from a Stagea in the R33 there is no chance the current turbo is coming off unless the engine comes out. Sounds just like a GT3040 which isn't very different from a GT3076 in my experience.
  12. I was waiting for Frank Williams to roll up to him and give him a forehead slap.
  13. Yep, GT3040 is a GT3082. The compressor is an 82mm compressor with similar flow potential of a billet 76mm compressor. Same 60mm turbine. My GT3040 has extrude honed front and rear covers. I changed to a TS GT3076 so the old turbo is still sitting in the shed.
  14. IMO from the results I have seen, not much difference except the price.
  15. I have a GT3040 sitting in the garage, I reckon it will produce the same numbers on E85 as a GTX3076 but much cheaper.
  16. [best scottish accent] I canna give her any more Captain, she'll blow.
  17. ^^ just read the bit about targeting 370rwkw
  18. If it is going to be a log manifold why not simply supply a turbine housing with an ext gate welded to the turbine housing?
  19. Ejector seat?
  20. I was just chuckling that 400 is the new 300. Not having a shot at you at all.
  21. lol, I am sure Duncan said 300 is the new 200 a few years ago.
  22. After the failure of that wing in the lead up....
  23. Holy old 2 yr old thread bump. Nice.
  24. I sat in that thing years ago, it was slow as a wet week up Gilbert Road, Castle Hill until it finally came on boost....
  25. It looks pretty good now and it is great to hear you are happy with it. It's great when you finally get your car to its potential. It sounds like some suspension changes and tyres are in order. I reckon a GT would have been a better performer by coming on earlier and would easily make that power level with E85. I have my old GT3040 sitting in the garage and they seem to be pretty much the same as a GTX3076 but it just needs to find a home and some E85 to prove or disprove it.
