  1. The two radiator hoses fit ok. This hose looks similar, but factory hard pipe is like 10mm while inside hose is like 16mm. I'm not sure about this hose, There is something similar, but about half as long. Maybe its a R33 hose? I'm starting to think this kit is less than ideal.
  2. Taking the manifold off that sounds a bit extreme, Hopefully I won't be needing to do that. I thought there would be tons of information on doing this.
  3. The other week I had a little coolant hose blow on my S2 Stagea RB25DET NEO. After replacing that hose (the little elbow behind the engine) I decided to replace all the coolant hoses. I bought a seven piece kit coolant hose kit. It supposed to fit on R33 and R34 Skylines. Has anyone fitted one of these? Someone got some photos of the coolant hoses under the intake manifold etc? Thanks in advance Brendan
  4. A bit late, but I replaced that hose on the Stagea (RB25DET NEO) the other week. Prick a job to get out, I used really long nose pliers and long nose bent pliers. To get to the clamp behind the engine I went horizontally from the intake side. I replaced the hose with Gates 8mm universal Z bend from Repco and new clamps. I bought a seven piece radiator hose kit on Ebay, trying to workout where all these hoses go
  5. Old thread I know... I just bought some headlights off Ebay. Unfortunately someone removed the globes. One of my old headlights is damaged and both have the crappy halogen lights for compliance. All wiring seems intact. Id prefer to go for some quality globes like Philips. Id even consider getting some second hand globes from a wrecker or importer. Is this the correct model? PHILIPS D2R, 35W, 85126 I was also wondering how the cheaper units have performed and lasted over time? I might be swayed to give them a go. Cheers Brendan
  6. Thanks guys, Yeah I was just checking my gauge was working right. It seems about right. Takes a while to start moving eg less then 70deg. . Not sure on water temp degrees, goes about halfway on the water temp gauge when once warmed up and running. It is overdue for a radiator flush. The gauge is capable of displaying 70-150 deg. The car seems to run between 85-90 once warmed up and running. Ive been trying not to give it too much gas atm because its been doing weird turbo noises when fanging it (I'll have to look into this issue). So I haven't seen the max oil temp reading.
  7. Running oil temperature in turbo Skylines/Stageas? Hi, Has anyone got an oil temperature gauge in their Skyline/Stagea, eg GTT. GTR etc? Whats your normal running temperature? I just installed an R32 GTR triple gauge cluster in my RB25DET NEO Stagea. The oil temp gauge goes from 70-150 deg C. My engine already had an oil temp sender. Cheers, Brendan
  8. My drivers side inner has shagged itself. Time to replace that again. All the rest seem fine. I'm going to get a Repco boot this time.
  9. Cancel that. I got some S13 12 pin cluster connectors (two per car) And cut two pins off each side and it fits a treat
  10. wtb GTR 260RS 3 gauge cluster 8 pin plug I'm after the 8 pin plug that goes into a three gauge cluster. Anyone got an old front cut or wreck to chop one off? Found in R32, R33 GTR, 260RS Stagea and others.
  11. I think he might be away, hasn't responded to my emails for a few weeks.
  12. Nice looking car. What do you need to do to get it on the road there? Id say only change pads and rotors if they are below minimum thickness. Id prolly change all the fluids though, oil, brake fluid, diffs, coolant, gearbox etc.
  13. I'd recommend searching for a thread on this, there is a good one here somewhere. Has lots of pics, think they also used the GTR manual instructions as a base. Not sure what model you have. But I did it on a S2 Stagea. I couldn't get the housing off I think on the drivers side, I didn't want to break anything so I just cleaned it out, added new boots and grease. I had heaps of issues getting the CV's out so I undid heaps of things. I also had issues with the clamps coming off, ended up using cable ties. I need to recheck if they are still sealed
  14. Old topic but same issue. My passenger mirror had a bad case of the wobbles. So I removed it for a closer inspection. I found two screws missing, adding screws and tightening them and tightening another screw seems to have fixed the problem. Maybe I was lucky, I was dreading a motor change. I'll confirm once i've mounted it again. Tip for new S2 Stagea owners: Keep the mirror fold switch in the middle position when you don't want the mirrors to change. Otherwise closing the doors or bumping the mirror can cause the mirrors to fold in or out.
  15. What do you want for front and rear shocks, springs and tops? Any leaks? Might also be after the LH mirror if its not a wobblier. Might also be after a full set of suspension arms, for the right price. How many KM on the clock?
  16. By tierod, I ment castor rod. The castor rods have aftermarket bushes, I think these made things hard to get back together. I was considering getting adjustable castor rods just to get it back together. But undoing the lower arm, made it possible for me to get it back together. Hopefully I did it right. I marked the inner bearing housing placement. But after putting it back together I think I should of also marked the bearing and shaft placement as well. Now I got to do the driver side. Still not 100% about getting the inner out of the driver side. Sounds like a couple of screwdrivers can do the job.
  17. I got the LHS CV on. Now im having troubles getting the tierod etc back on. Thinking about undoing the four bolts on the lower arm to get it to fit
  18. I'm having enough problems just getting the LHS out. I don't know how anyone can get the LHS out without undoing any suspension.
  19. Probably had a bingle at some time and replaced with non-momo steering wheel. The steering wheel looks in a lot better condition then my 200k old one.
  20. I have a S2 Stagea, i'm planning on changing the front CV boots over the weekend. I have read all of this thread. Changing the left side seems easy enough, i'll attempt that first. With the right side I need to undo some suspension. Plus I was wondering how the inner part is attached? Eg how does this come out. Or is it just sitting in there? I bought some boots on Ebay, total cost around $80 delivered, Might of been cheaper at Repco but I don't have a trade card. Thanks in advance, Brendan
  21. Good luck, sounds like a sucky problem to have. Have you ruled out a broken cam, as above?
  22. Hi guys, I was thinking of giving the S2 Stagea a coolant clean out. I got some Tectaloy Mukowt Radiator flush. Do you only release coolant from tap at bottom of radiator? How do you bleed it? I suppose you gotta wait for coolant to cool down before releasing it? Any tips please? Cheers Brendan
  23. Nice looking beast. Whats compliance cost? I'd have to win loto first
  24. Mines due again, Steering fluid is browning up. Might see if i can get a blocker for the reservoir return this time. At least my son is old enough to do the cranking job. I was thinking it might be nice to add a T tap on the return to make future flushes easier. Anyone tried something like that? Probably too much hassle.
