  1. I'd also be interested if people road around in each others cars to get a feel on where the problems are, lagging, response etc. where things can be improved if you know what I mean? T.
  2. BLiNG! Are you down on Eveleigh St.? T.
  3. Could we please change the subject. This is not a happy topic of conversation. I honestly do not feel happy hearing WRX's (real ones!) let alone Skyline imitations. T.
  4. I got one for ya. Also compression test would be nice. T.
  5. There's a few annecdotal whispers you pick up here and there about 300+ kW GTS/GT-R's that take down some largish bikes in certain situations. You can guess where 4wd and perhaps the ability to drop 300kW to the road on four A4 sized sheets of paper as tyre contact patches is better than say 100kW on an area the size of a cigarette packet. Say an 300kW GT-R on a slick winding road vs. an average bike like a 75kW Honda VFR-750FN... I can see which vehicle is going to keep ahead. 4 x 245/40/17 tyres vs. a single back rim.... I bet on the Skyline. As always, drag racing bikes is a dangerous sport, even more so than drag racing other cars. T.
  6. I can only tell you it's on a maroon GTSt with an RB26DETT conversion. I have both mags/articles in HPI but it's not this one (it might be at work). Who would guess there are two maroon R33 GTSt w/ RB26 conversions in Australia both written up by HPI (#37 is one) Clearly HPI is the Skyline enthusiast magazine. T.
  7. 33 sedans look so pimpin' VIP! T.
  8. The only other 'famous' 33 I can think of with the Jun bar was Andrew's (Merli's) old white R33 GTSt. This Jun bar is not as well known as their other design (ie. the Hyper Lemon R33 now living in England). But it's a very low bar and it looks like a bulldozer's blade so you hit everything I suppose. T.
  9. How do you mate the fiberglass to the C pillar? The GT-R has the alloy guards welded to the steel C pillar (bit of bog too I'd imagine). T.
  10. Autech... expensive. I seem to recall less than 100 were made. I do remember in an old HPI some guy took a 33 GTSt sedan and did a full GT-R conversion (yes I know, it takes all sorts). Would you consider a 260RS Stagea wagon? Bit more realistic goal but admittedly I do not know the depths of your wallet... T.
  11. I saw this pic in Zoom recently at work and I reckon it looks excellent: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/r33_bayside.jpg What do you reckon? The bar is pretty low but the whole car looks like it's an integrated kit. T.
  12. Clutch starting isn't going to happen on cars with immoblisers and it would be problematic on high-comp engines w/turbos? T.
  13. Theres's also a very small lip spoiler available that fills in the space between the two 'fins' on the end of the 33 guards. But it's a little too subtle for my tastes. T.
  14. You can try your FC in my car. The next time we might meet would be at the Japanese restaurant though... T.
  15. Hmmm... I'm on the list but got no docket. I think Helstra strikes again? [email protected] T.
  16. Phillip wanted $650 for one... They go for $600-800 2nd hand. T.
  17. You can do it at my workplace on the weekends. We have a huge carpark in Silverwater. T.
  18. I've jump started my car maybe half a dozen times since I got the FC. Is this safe? I ask in the light of Brendan's FC troubles. A few guys at work and the local Lube Mobile/Autobarn say it's not good. I certainly don't want a Kentucky Fried FC. T.
  19. I'll almost sick of dragging out the pic of my car: http://www.nitroware.net/~tony/r33_profile.jpg Signal Auto drift wing. Last time it was $250 PART ONLY from Bodyform in Sydney (Peter will fix you up). Extra for paint and fit. T.
  20. Ok... Booked for the 26th. Under Skylines Australia, name is Tony as bookee. Tenatively for 12. Corner is Keeler St. There's an LJ Hooker and the corner of Tai Kei Shopping Centre. T.
  21. If you're after the SR3 (ie. tasteful red/green/blue pattern) just buy one locally. I know Phillip Y. was selling one for pretty cheap. Jap. spec. Recaros are very nice and good wearing. T.
  22. I think someone has to go in in person. I tried to do it on the phone and it was 'problematic' to say the least. I'll drop in and make a tenative booking for 12-20. T.

How can you miss the ads? They make car enthusiasts out to be completely unpleasant louts. T.
  24. Great night. I think the waiters are part of the 'entertainment'. I think the comment that capped it off was the boss' s 200sx wrapped around a tree. I mean I can't expect mere waiters to have the driving skillz to compare to SAU test pilots (!!!) T.
  25. That Garrett catalog is a bone of contention on PF. It seems that the last catalog implied that everything was BB. Now it seems only certain models are. T.
