  1. I reckon if you had about $40,000 to blow you may as well get a lightly modified GT-R rather than a worked off its tits GTSt. T.
  2. Current 'wisdom' (if you call it that) says that 240/250 on 370cc injectors is ok. I personally have never seen it and I'm a bit dubious about it but it seems that low 200kW range motors should be ok with a big pump + reg. T.
  3. I was about to say something like that. At one time it was NSW vs. Victoria in a tag team whoring session. I look at the Victorian group and I honestly feel a little bit jealous or bitter even (if that makes sense). There's such a sense of community that used to be evident here. I also think that unless it's truly parochial in a NSW/Sydney local sense it shouldn't be here. I wonder if it's because in many ways NSW did it first and like any sort of 'sensation' it's died down a bit. I hope that everyone makes an effort to do something like we used to in the coming year. T.
  4. This is the name of the file you are after: BM_Tuned_Skyline_Battle.wmv 41Mb 5 x r34 GT-R tuned on Suzuka from BMI with Tsuchiya and Orido. I got it from work. T.
  5. Yes because it runs the car with no key and no driver in control. My timer is hidden now. T.
  6. The way some buses are driven I almost expect 'overnight parts from Japan's stuck in them. T.
  7. There's no 'law' that says a shop has to buy thru the authorised dealer. T.
  8. I have a very Anglo/Yankee cooler setup (Serck-Marston/Earls) and you should be able to work out that the car runs very cool even in our Sydney heat. It's never even close to 90c! T.
  9. Kakimoto wide body. Probably a local copy. There's only 6 in existence here and thank god for that. Maybe you're interested in the r34 GT-R that J-Spec has for sale AT THE SAME PRICE!!! T.
  10. This is a general FYI that should be available in a search. The FC has a synthetic knock sensor. It is only a guide and really only as accurate as the sensors themselves. A good reason is around 10-15 or less on load, a hot engine, all boost levels. Older engines do anywhere from 30-40-50. Make it what you will of motors in the 60/70+ range. Again FYI. My motor did a 7-8-9 before it blew. It still does a 7-8-9 after the rebuild. ie. I phuqqed a completely good motor but I still have a completely good motor after the new pistons etc. T.
  11. ??? Compliance is available now. $75,000 should get you a nice one landed. Long time before they are $50,000 though... T.
  12. Dude... You may as well not have an oil cooler. Something is definitely wrong. T.
  13. Show us your numbers first T.
  14. All of us dream of that phat 34 in the garage. They will always be reasonably expensive. Only 12,000 examples and you can be sure the Japanese aren't going to give them up willingly. The Americans want them as does the rest of the world. Compare that to 44,000 R32's and 16,000 R33's... I would imagine there are lots and lots of very low mileage R34's. But do you have the money? T.
  15. That's your answer grasshopper. I had my HKS Hypers up high and it bounced my 'Eau De Toilet' all over the place. How I run it maybe notch 12/16 (soft like Commodore) and Parramatta Rd. is no barrier to warpspeed. T.
  16. For bikes, response is everything. Flat slide carburettors are very responsive and adequate for many bikes. However modern EFI is getting so cheap to implement that it's taking over on the big power bikes. T.
  17. Some paints are better if 'cured' in your normal household oven. T.
  18. Brakes are AP 6 piston. Suspension is Ohlins. That GT-R BM 6 car battle is available for download off various sources. T.
  19. In theory you can do it yourself. I reckon it looks good in rice red or rice gold. I would imagine the whole thing would not cost much at all. The only problem is that your car needs to be laid up overnight for the calipers to dry. T.
  20. I don't think you'll reach it with a 2530 but even with say 230kW, it may be just as street driveable. I have yet to see any reports of the 2540 but it does not bring with it a good reputation. T.
  21. LOL I don't want his number AT ALL. I'd reckon I be missing some DOUGH afterwards. Guy always has some nice kit. T.
  22. Thanks for the comments guys. I hardly even drive it any more due to some issues and the fact my workplace tends to be demolition derby for trucks and it's near a petrol refinery that leaves crap everywhere. The car looks very different to those pix now. The rear wing is a Signal Auto drift wing. Copies are available from Bodyform in Sydney and many other places I expect. It has to be matched with a high mount stop light. It is a defect to not have a stop light but that's a bit silly on a Skyline I'd admit. As if you can miss FOUR lights coming on. T.
  23. Of the top of my head, Drag Queen Brett (BU5TER) has white ones on his 33 and James (JAMEZILLA) has bronze ones on his 33. Should be lots and lots of pictures of both cars here. T.
  24. It's a hard task finding decent wheels in Australia. It's either cheap shit, heavy, fully soft Aussie branded, Indonesian made shit or murderously expensive imported Japanese rims. And the Aussie 'designs' are either in poor taste or very bad copies. I would scarcely believe 25kg rims are the norm! T.
  25. Look at that wiseco catalog... The CR all looks so low. I reckon they found a whole bunch of 86-88 millimeter bore pistons from whatever cars they have in the US and modified the wrist pin connect so they fit Skylines. ie. they aren't really Skyline pistons but some blanks that have been milled to fit the RB. T.
