Whiteline Sway Bar Group Buy R32, R33, R34 Gtr And 2Wd
Daleo replied to Daleo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
The links use a fully encapsulated heavy duty ball joint; basically removes all of the give in the urethane bushed style set up that are included in the Sway Bar kit. Gives a much more direct response; but without any of the attendant noise and maintenance isses encountered with race style, aircraft (or Heim) joints. I use these on my own car and the difference in response even on an OEM Sway Bar was incredible. -

Hi Guys. I'm running a Skyline Group Buy right now, if anyone who missed out but would like to get involved; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/376917-whiteline-sway-bar-group-buy-r32-r33-r34-gtr-and-2wd/ As an aside; the rear Whiteline bar is 1075mm wide at the links. Hopefully this will help anyone who is unsure of the size difference when fitting to an Auto Subframe. If one of you would like to measure your Auto Sway Bar and post the measurement that might help too. Cheers, Dale.

When I post link kits; I normally do Express Post (it's cheap, and has tracking) and Auspost won't guarantee next day to WA, SA and North Queensland. The TNT option definitely sounds like the go.
-
When I send Sway Bars; it takes 3-4 longer to get to SA than delivery to WA. Weird...

Lol, I saw a POS EB Falcon the other night, every panel a different colour; trying to chase a Gallardo through traffic! The Gallardo slotted a couple of neat gaps and took off; honestly I could see the Falcon plowing into the back of the Lambo the way he was carrying on. And if he'd somehow managed to get in front of the Gallardo he have been all "Yeah moit; I farken burned off a Lambo last night! Farken foreign shitbox..."
-
I'd be looking into an Express Post box; that way you're getting back the same VB you sent; even mark the VB & solenoids before you ship if you're worried. Just depends on turnaround time; Express Post to SA seems to be around 2-3 days; also, you can track the package. It's not hugely expensive, (VB weighs 4-5 kgs) and insurance (loss or damage) for $650 is $15. A courier service might be quicker; less down time. Food for thought.

Isn't MV Autos is SA? Hit up a few auto trans places for a quote?

The above post seems to outline the attitude bulk of HWP officers display. Arrogance is a very destructive attitude when dealing with the public, and these officers are the public face of their organisation. But don't worry; pipe up and I'll defect you, so shut your mouth boy... Great job engaging with your community. In my area, they position their patrol cars in turning lanes in the centre islands of the Great Western Highway to do speed enforcement. Could someone please explain to me how blocking the path of traffic safely leaving a major roadway can in any way be justified? I'm not legally allowed to park my car in the centre island; how is it legal to block a lane to catch "criminals"? Commit an offence to stop others from commiting an offence? Do two wrongs make a right? People see police officers abuse the laws they are charged to enforce and the police force wonders why they have an image problem... I've copped a few fines in my time, (mostly justified) I'm always compliant and polite and some officers are fine; but some absolutely abuse the authority they are given (yelling and screaming at a 5km/h exceed speed?) and sadly this is what colours peoples judgement. With defects though; surely the path of least resistance is to engineer your mods and 90% of your problems are solved.

Well done mate; man on a mission! Get on this guys; this is my new favourite mod.

M35's Wheels. What Wheels Do You Like On Your M35?

Wow, really? I didn't really notice extra noise when I fitted mine; maybe my original tyres were noisy too. What will you be looking at next time? -

This is going to be Awesome! -
All sealed up again after a bent pan rail sprung a leak. Bit of a touch up with a hammer; all sorted. Also knocked over the transfer case fluid change. Thanks again for the use of the hoist Craig; heaps easier than battling on the garage floor. Beers are on me next time. Fark this shift kit kicks arse!

That's the plan, hopefully be able to bring it in under a grand, closer to $800. -

Sussing out a few 340mm rotor combinations to run with an R32 GTR caliper/ offset bracket. If it works out, I'll detail the whole thing; could be a budget monster upgrade. A chance chat with another forum member has got me motivated again. Could also end in tears; we'll see. -

Trans kitted last night by Craig, my car is tops now! Slowly stripping away the mediocre from a great car. What's next... -
Jetwreck installed my shift kit yesterday arvo, while I got in the way and generally hid Allen keys for him... When you open the box and see just what you get for your money, you'd be entitled to feel a little short-changed. However, patience is a virtue, and it will be rewarded with a gearbox that simply provides the absolute best of all worlds! At light throttle openings; beautiful smooth but fast shifts, not harsh at all. At higher throttle openings (around 3-4000rpm) firm fast shifts with a nice squat from the rear as it picks the next gear. At full throttle, shifting at Redline on damp roads, mine now squats down, shoves you into the seat and spins the rear wheels for a car length until the torque split throws power back to the front! Yeaaah! That's what it should be like! This mod has just scraped off the veneer of respectability that the NM35 has, and I can now see the potential it must have with another 30% to 100% more power. If you are tossing up whether to do this mod; DO IT! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! If you are tossing up whether to do it yourself; have a good hard think, and honestly assess you mechanical ability. If you are not extremely confident in your ability; leave it for someone who is. There are many small procedures that must be done correctly TO THE LETTER, if you get just one wrong; you could well be f##ked. If you lose one tiny detent ball, or lose a spring; you're going nowhere. I watched Craig go through the entire process, and assisted at key points, and this is not a simple job. To be entirely confident, I'd be wanting to go through the whole thing again, with his assistance. I estimate it would take me between 6-8 hours to do my first one; checking everything twice. It takes Craig around 4 hours. I also used Nissan Matic-J at $69 for 5lt, rather than Nulon at $59 for 4lt. You need around 8lt, so you'll have enough left to do a transfer case flush as well. Thanks again Craig for your efforts yesterday, I couldn't be happier, the car is f##king awesome!
