  1. Group Buy has one week to run; if anyone else would like to get involved feel free to PM. Thanks to everyone who has made payment; orders will be placed early next week. Cheers, Dale.
  2. That's a similar solution to the OEM BOSE sub; not terribly priced either, once you take into account amp is included, and no need to build an enclosure.
  3. Yeah; they've been great with us. We did have to pay excess for the hail, god's a bugger to get cash from. The car was well munted; every panel had damage to some degree, looks brilliant now. Sounds like they made the right decision with yours though; as you say, they seem quite concerned about the end result.
  4. Yep.
  5. Boosted Funerals; Dead quick.
  6. After Scotty & Aarons experience; I'd be following their lead; Definitely look at removing, cleaning & drilling out the Oil feed banjo for the turbo; there have been a number of blocked ones, as it only has a 1mm orifice. Due to the small size, it can block easily if the servicing has been "less than perfect" in Japan, restricting oil flow to the rotating assembly and you could well be sitting on a ticking time bomb for no real reason. I believe Scotty recommended a 2mm hole for an OEM turbo, but I'm sure someone will pipe up if I'm wrong. Definitely do the "wire cut" and if you've got the funds; do a shift kit; oh, and do a shift kit; they're THAT good. Enjoy the new ride; and as Leon said; put up some pics, always good to see another one.
  7. Cool; I'll be interested to see how it goes, you've got all the supporting mods to make the most of it.
  8. Saw both zei20l and Jetwreck today; both at my work; one dropping off, one picking up. Pretty sure people at work now think i'm some sort of Japanese car mafia kingpin...
  9. Good to hear you had a good result with Shannons; I've got both my cars and house/contents with them. Have had numerous claims; last ones, nearly $8000 of PDR (Paintless dent removal) on our Daily, and a $600 wing mirror repair on my Stagea, after a driver did the runner. No isses, and they chased the runner without question, didn't cost me a cent. Not sure why you think PDR is bodgy; you get rid of the dents; and don't have old paint/ new paint mismatch. Have had one car done twice due to hails storms now, and minor pin dents repaired on my Black Stagea. The Stagea cost $60 to have 3 dents pulled; paint/panel would've been at least $600. Result is perfect; I recommend it. Shannons FTW.
  10. Yep bleed from top to bottom. Nipple on the M/C will help you prime the M/C; they can sometimes be a bugger to start. Then just bleed at every point until you reach the slave. Make sure you keep an eye on the fluid level in the M/C reservoir; it's only small, they can empty quite quickly.
  11. That's a damn good find; I would never have thought of that. Well done As others have said; Tailshaft centre bearing is a big one, uni's are a funny one; on some cars, the joints are deliberately out of phase, unsure whether tha Stagea is one? Mine went away after the fluid change when Jetwreck fitted my shift kit.
  12. How are things progressing with your FCon Cam? Have you had a tune done or is it just inline running a base map?
  13. Spot on Iain, I'm sure I can feel the same thing. Dunno about the economy; I'm still not bored with the punch it delivers, maybe next year.
  14. That cooler is plenty big enough, I like the look of those little thermostats; full flow in bypass. I'm a little dubious about the way the b&m coolers use oil viscosity as a measure of temp for the bypass.
  15. Lol, how good is the shift kit? More awesome? You already had one, right?
  16. Put it in to context though; What was your baseline before the tune? 0-100km/h time? How does it actually drive?
  17. They won't fit.
  18. That's very neat indeed; buttons could be used for boost control?
  19. Could the car be hitting the boost Rich/Retard due to the lack of restriction; thus higher boost? Not a C34 expert by any means; just throwing it out there? Maybe slip the OEM airbox back on to eliminate one thing? Not a fan of Pod filters anyway.
  20. Yay! Finally! And it's only taken 3 odd years... Yeah, doing the kid drop off before heading home to bed. Sorry mate, didn't notice you; there was a frenzy of HWP at Blaxland on my way down the hill, so I was preoccupied with my speed coming through the 60 zone at Blaxland. Next time.
  21. Yep; Hammertone Grey. Goes on with a brush, looks top on my toolbox.
  22. Lol, I was going to suggest that; but given your background, it seemed a little Captain Obvious. Thanks Chris; I feel a litle better knowing that...
  23. I could be wrong, but the CV shaft is what holds the wheel bearing & hub assembly together. You won't be able to drive with the CV shafts out; the wheels will fall off.
