  1. I'd be tempted to fit a set of those rather than vinyl! Huge respect for your talent; looking forward to the end result.
  2. Next time try searching "Evo Caliper"; the search function is great. http://www.skylinesa...hl__evo+caliper It's not an easy upgrade once you start looking into it. Read and then decide.
  3. I think it's probably worth your while; that's a bloody expensive mistake if the car owner isn't 100% switched on. Obviously don't go in and go bananas, but definitely see if you can speak to the owner, and have a rational discussion about the incident. Mistakes happen, but if no one makes it known; they can't alter their work procedure. A simple tick sheet can avoid these kinds of issues.
  4. I had a bit of a poke around, and found these; might help? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362357-water-leaks/page__st__20__p__5809681__hl__water+leak__fromsearch__1#entry5809681 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/362357-water-leaks/page__st__20__p__5809681__hl__water+leak__fromsearch__1#entry5809681 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/224028-water-leak-drivers-side-footwell/page__st__20__p__4544544__hl__water+leak__fromsearch__1#entry4544544
  5. FFS! How bloody hard is it to do a job properly... That's just pathetic; I hope you went back and gave it to them?
  6. Is it worth checking the resistance of the two airbag modules and seeing if there's a difference? If the NM35 airbag presents the same elecrtrical values as the C34 one; I can't see the Airbag module knowing the difference. Either that; or put in the earplugs and ! As an aside; it's easily the nicest factory wheel I've laid hands on in quite a while, not quite as nice as my MOMO Tuner, but very close. Man I love that wheel...
  7. This is insurance work right? It should be up to them to ensure the repair matches the original, if it doesn't they need to correct it. If they can't match the wheel finish, doesn't mean they can give you a "near enough" job; they might as well give you a 14" Hotwire rim, or just throw on the space saver if that's the case. Politely make your opinion known, even get the assesor involved, you don't have to accept poor quality work; even if it's only one part of the job.
  8. It's a fair read, but very interesting. Editor's Blog: On The Death Of Marco Simoncelli, Marshals, And Why We Must Carry On http://www.motomatte...marco_simo.html And also a great piece from Kevin Schwantz; a fantastic insigt into his personality; http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2011/Oct/111024-34-rip-sic.htm
  9. Lordy that looks comfy. A bit more sensible height than the std ones?
  10. Could this be your opportunity chop out the numberplate piece and a bit of plastic welding when repairing, or is it too far gone?
  11. Err, Craig; I'm not an expert or anything; but I'm pretty sure that first picture is a fridge... Just sayin'
  12. Never even noticed it; looks much better than a stocker. What is it?
  13. Jayzus! That would surely have been worth a photo! Others have asked about it; what joints did you end up using, and have you added it to the C34 info?
  14. They're brilliant! Bright blue interior, novelty boost gauge, rubber spoilers; they had it all. The height of Eighties garishness Made of tissue paper; but brilliant.
  15. Some very eclectic lists, here's mine; License 20 years; Triumph 2500s; First car, not recommended for P platers. Timber panelling & electric overdrive. All cabin wiring in white with a black trace; EVERY WIRE. God I hate English cars. Datsun 200B SSS; Came with sunroof & factory fitted rust. Pulsar ET Turbo; High flow , 2 1/2" exh & backyard intercooler & blowoff set up. Killed by a 4WD in the rear. Datsun 180B SSS; 6 point cage, Konis, L20 with 45mm webbers, 5 speed 3.9 r180 LSD. 86 Corona Wagon; Stock as a rock. Killed by a drunk driver. VR V6 Ute; Full system, lowered, LSD, 16x8 ASA 5 spokes. 86 R31 Wagon; Loved this one. R32 GTR brakes, R33 rack, Konis, lowered, swaybars, roll centre adjusters, camber/caster plates, every bush replaced, 5 Speed conversion, LSD, Series 3 front end conversion, full respray twice, due to accident damage, 17x7 lensos, then black 17x8 17x9 drift teks. Mazda Protege; Stock as a rock NM35 Stagea; work in progress... Bikes came along around the same time as the VR Ute. 86 Yamaha TT250 Suzuki Across 250 Honda CBR 250RR 98 Suzuki GSXR750 01 Honda CBR 929RR 06 Suzuki GSXR 1000 About a bazillion MTBs. Not a huge list, at one time I owned 4 of the cars at the same time and one bike. The R31 was on staff for nearly 10 years, was written off twice (not at fault) bought back & rebuilt. Don't regret a single one; they all taught me something different. Still own the Mazda, Stagea & GSXR 1000.
  16. Looks great. That's basically the same height as mine, you won't have any issues there.
  17. No you don't; you have a 200SX. Stagea FTW!
  18. Great job Cam! Well done on the group buy; looking forward to a PM, I'll get the funds across ASAP Cheers, Dale. Edit; Paid.
  19. Sounds like it won't be long before he takes himself out of the equation with that kind of talent; hopefully without injuring anyone else.
  20. +1, sounds like the 1 step backwards before taking 2 steps forward. Good to hear you've conquered your painkiller demons; the start of the new beginning? It was a long time ago, but when I was an apprentice earning peanuts, I watched all my mates seemingly spending money like it was water, and it did my head in, but things change trust me, and some of my best memories were of those years I struggled to get by. The time will fly by and soon this'll be a distant memory; especially when your circulating at your favourite racetrack in an R35 GTR... (well maybe not; but you get the idea) Best of luck with the sale & the new career too; sounds like it might be your turn now.
  21. Don't do it; I think they need the chrome more than the other colours. I think it'll just disappear into a featureless mass at the front if you do.

Can't help thinking the Bobcat could be the most fun vehicle for heavy traffic... Ultima is beautiful.
  23. I'm pretty sure Theo (WAGON BOY) was working on just such a thing. Maybe PM him and see how he's going with it.
