  1. I'm only two in from full soft front; three in from full soft rear. No point turning it into a billycart; doesn't make 'em quicker around corners.
  2. Rocker cover gasket is $30 and budget an hour to 2 hours in labour. So around $200 ish.
  3. Lol, I've got one too; I doubt i'll ever be able to get rid of it. I'm just going to chuck mine up in the roof of the house. Surely no -one would voluntarily make their car smile like the dumb kid on purpose. Ebay it perhaps?
  4. As a matter of interest; what was the cost of the front links? Did you replace both pieces? Can you add the part number to the M35 Info thread? Tinting the front windows makes the car look so much better!
  5. Interesting Scotty; I went the opposite way after fitting my Bars, (I run my 30mm front on the stiffest setting). I actually backed my fronts off to 2 clicks in from full soft, (was on five in) because it became a bit too "darty" in the steering for my liking, and it didn't really have any weight transfer. Different strokes and all that...
  6. Great work Paul, looking forward to a PM.
  7. I'd also be looking at the O2 sensor.
  8. Matt; Talk to member Bigkevracer; I believe he purchased custom rate BC's. Personally, I don't think you need to go softer than their recommended rates; I'm using a set of BC BR's,with their recommended rates, I don't believe you'd want any softer. They're not what you normally expect from Coilovers. On minimum damping adjustments; mine is just like a well damped standard M35; no harshness, no jiggling or rattling, but not boat spec either. I'm a bit past crashy, rough, suspension; I couldn't be happier with the way mine is. Cheers, Dale.
  9. Spotted Pearl White C34 with Green P's on the M4 this afternoon; and was actually driving the Stag for once! The pearl looks great in the sun mate. Waved, got a response; Is the owner on here?
  10. +1. Oil in the intake is from your breathers, not usually a sign of a stuffed turbo. Can sometimes be a stuffed PCV valve. Oil from a turbo will generally end up in the exhaust; mainly because the hot side seal gets damaged by carbon buildup. Clean out the pipework, including the intercooler, then run it fro a couple of weeks. Remove again if you're concerned, and see how much has returned. Don't forget; This oil has been building up since it was built and is now over 12 years old; there's bound to be some in there.
  11. Good job on the research, saves tears later. As before; I'm in for 2 sets, PM me some details & I'll cash you up.
  12. New filter? They just have a fine mesh screen... Good that you're happy with it though, and it obviously solved your CEL issues.
  13. Looks good mate; better than standard under the big rims. On another note; thant's a HUGE opening without the grille in place; looks like a manta ray with it's mouth open. Pics look good mate, looked like a perfect day; too bad I was working all weekend; would've come down & had a chat. You been doing some detailing? Paint looks smooth. Couple of nice rotors by the looks too. Did you end up getting to the Texi? Bloody double time; still, more shiny bits soon...
  14. Hey mate; I'm at Faulconbridge! Is yours the White Aero kit that I keep seeing around Glenbrook? If you need a hand, or feel like a chat (or beer); shoot me a PM yeah? Cheers, Dale.
  15. Yeah, I know Cam; I just wanted to ease him in to it. And he thought the M35 was irritating...
  16. Good work Paul, let me know, and I'll sort you out. Cheers, Dale.
  17. Congrats on the new purchase, looks good. The turbo on these is quite noisy anyway, so you may not necesssarily have an issue, but it might be worth getting your mechanic to check out the oil feed banjo bolt to the turbo, while he's poking around; to check for blockage. If you've freed up a blocked exhaust; you're probably getting proper boost now, hence the extra noise. My turbo has been noisy since I bought it, and 45000km later still going strong; not any noisier, but I did pull the banjo out and drill it to 2mm. Best of luck, and enjoy the new toy. Cheers, Dale
  18. That's good news! What did you end up using?

If you cut your joints tight enough, you can just fusion weld (no filler) pipework in the first place. Not as strong though. It never occurred to me to go around again... Isn't that cheating? I wish I could weld like the contract pipe welders we get in at work; theirs just looks like a robot did it. Still if that was all you did 12 hours a day; you'd want to be pretty good.
  20. No worries. Sorry, I edited my post after the fact; 2 sets.
  21. Loving the 2 tone and the blue stripe; can't wait to see it with clear on. Very nice work.
  22. Yeah Slippy; go on, I'm in for 2 sets. Let me know when you'd like funds. Cheers, Dale
  23. Damn you Cam! After lying in bed trying to go to sleep for nightshift, knowing that my bonnet strut kit was mere meters away in the garage; I relented and installed it. Seriously, the only way this kit could be easier to install; would be if it actually came with a little man in the bag to fit it for you. It's such a good fit! Couldn't have taken more than10 minutes. It took me longer to find a 5.5mm drill bit than it did to get the struts on and the bonnet back down. Thanks again mate; no more bashed noggin, and the bonnet opens far enough to allow the overhead light in my garage to plumb the depths of my engine bay! How did you know? How! The only thing I added was a 5mm flat washer under the nut on the lower mount; but that's 'cos I'm a pedantic bastard... If you don't think you need this kit; you are wrong. There are now only two kinds of people in the world; those who have gas struts on their Stagea bonnets; and those who will...
