  1. Shaft was out, it would have made more if the dyno wasn't speed limited as power was still climbing. It still had another 1000 revs to go. Not much laggier but it feels much punchier with the more efficient stall converter. Hopefully I can get the stock trans ecu to lock it up now. The spiking was due to fuel surge I think, lean pops in the exhaust causing the turbo to spool to 3 bar even with the wastegate wide open. I will have to look at a new fuel system, probably a 20L surge tank in the spare wheel well with a 416L Walbro like yours.
  2. That puff of smoke on cold takeoff is usually condensate oil from the PCV running down into the manifold overnight. You can try fitting a small sealed catch can full of stainless steel wool in the pcv hose to prove it.
  3. Pics? What happened? I would have thought it would be fine as a cat back, perhaps road cars only...
  4. I have Ti mandrel bent pipes in my workshop, granted they are Jet engine parts but they are available. I'm still trying to talk someone into an alloy cat back, no-one has been game as yet. It's more common in the US it seems. We will catch on eventually.
  5. New tune today for the GTX3076, I have gone crazy with spring pressure running the maximum 26psi the 45mm turbosmart can take. It held boost well at 24-25 psi with no controller, and power came on smooth which should be good for grip. I'm booked in for the Sandown trackday next Saturday so it was a conservative tune, not sure I need to crank it up at the moment anyway.
  6. The upgrade turbo, a GTX3076 has been tuned today, I'm very pleased with how it's driving now and no issues to report. My stock VQ25det with ARP L19 head studs managed 350kw at around 24psi on a safe track tune. Hopefully I can get a good time at Sandown next Saturday, fingers crossed. I just got some sticky 245 Advan AO48's to help me grip, should be a great day. Spectators are welcome by the way.
  7. Thanks Shadz, drop in sometime I can definitely help you out. (If you're keen to drive an hour each way for some work to be done mate.) On topic, I have an M35 turbo coming down to you for one of those new 'responsive' highflows on the previous page Stao. I will call when it's out. Thanks for sending him my way buddy, I will look after him.
  8. Too many leaks in mine. lol.
  9. This is mine, very similar design. I have used this to 40psi including pressurizing the engine. As long as there aren't two valves in overlap it should barely leak at all.
  10. Now that is what I call a nice sidepipe Zebra, but I don't understand why they would even plumb the wastegate back in...
  11. Whale shark grille. They are around $100 unpainted on import monster I think.
  12. There was a bit more to it but yeh, I feel he has taken the burden of hosting fees for too long, perhaps we need some community spirit to kick in some donations? He is looking for another company to host the site, it should be back up again soon guys.
  13. M35? What parts are you after?
  14. May I say, the ADR's are a load of crap if that's the case. (I already new that anyway.) What's the cop going to say when he sees the speaker holding a child seat down. lol.
  15. Considering the flex joins are worth more than the sale price I can't see how you could loose. Buy it and try it out. Post up the results showing any fitment issues for others to see. I have bought from Npower before, they have some good products.
  16. Just keep an eye on your boost gauge, you don't want to blow an engine, or the turbo for that matter...
  17. Sometimes the joiners only leak when hot, once they soften up. It's a good idea to go over every clamp while its hot on the dyno or after a drive as you can get more turns on the worm drive. I ran mine and a mates STI liberty up to 40psi with the alloy 3 inch bung I made, there were all manner of leaks. lol.
  18. Quote: For all Skylines R32, R33 & R34 with RB20DET & RB25DET Engines, or any after market turbo with T3 flange Are they serious? So this will fit any T3 turbo? lol.
  19. I'm still in. Sick of looking at all the wires and hoses in there. If only I could re-route the fuel reg and gauge into that area... Mmm. Hurry up Cam.
  20. Great job Stao, I think you will sell a few of these. So the rear is only a few MM bigger but the compressor looks to be around 6MM bigger? Should flow well and more responsive than the Sierra stage one's..
  21. Much smaller wheels there Stao, M35 owners that don't want ecu upgrades would be crazy to not grab one of those. Looks great.
  22. When you don't have a choice... Minimising the chance the electronics will fail by padding around the Fcon and keeping the o2 controller in the car will help, even military spec chips have issues over 50 degrees. I need those components but more and more the electronic systems in the car have been whittled away. All the damn sensors and switches nearing the end of their life span, most of which will put the engine in limp mode. I wish I could drop a carby on it. The best mod so far was definitely the map sensor, ditching the afm. It has already saved me being stranded on a few occasions. Manualising the gearbox may be the next endeavour...
  23. Just picked up my new AO48's, they are worth 50kw at idle. Might need a guard roll myself...
