  1. Couldn't think of a better thread to post pics in
  2. Because it's goverment mandate? Checkout the state budget and see just how much revenue comes from fines, speeding and that type of thing.
  3. They won't paint everyone equally as Imports are the revenue gold mine!
  4. Winning statement right there!
  5. Well final placings were posted up, would suck if you coughed up $600 to protest and then nothing came of it!
  6. You drive a taxi... So clearly wouldn't expect one to understand the game between modified import car owners & the Victoria Police. By all means, try doing that and see how far it gets you. I'd bet you'll get upgraded from what would probably be a minor defect - to a fully blown EPA... Which mind you, is well without the powers of the Victoria Police because as the law sits - they only need to base a EPA report on suspicion, not fact, such is the law. They also do not need a warrant to inspect your car and ensure it complies with the states road laws & requirements at all. That comment couldn't be anymore than plain ignorance. Pays to know your laws before arguing. It's too late to become aware once you've felt the long dick of the law because you wanted to "stand up for yourself". You can be as polite as you want and in some cases it will simply get you nowhere irrespective of what you "rights" are.
  7. Mega Mini Wang... My calling... Sorted a car for DECA (well, ill make a call tomorrow and should be lol)... Stephenson - the duel continues
  8. A decidedly different summary, keepin' it real as always (ps. was it really $100 entry for 2 days? )
  9. Totally agree. Also i do believe there were also others with aftermarket splitters and so on - definatly need to pay attention to the rule writing. But then you would already know your car is illegal, couldn't have your head that far into the sand surely... On a lighter note well done to all, some really great times coming out from the SAU guys overall and being very competitive which is a great sign given some of the guys are very privateers that DIY on the weekends and not workshop backed. Very impressive indeed! Looking forward to the tales and stories from everyone once they return and post up about what sounds like another very solid WTAC! To early to speculate 2013?
  10. Be more worried about the ringlands letting go simply due to age or a slightly bad batch of fuel more than melting pistons outright. Cannot say I've ever seen anyone post here that they melted stock pistons, motors let go long before that happens (and it's usually det/age related)
  11. Cyber did 2 laps, dropped oil everywhere. Could be day over for that camp
  12. Believe that when i see it

  14. Oh really? That's gotta suck! Running around finding a clutch right now probably haha. Maybe overnight from Melb Snowy's car developed issues late Thursday night and didnt make it up unfortunately. Not sure what they were exactly, bit of a shame given it had a good run @ PI a few days earlier.
  15. Times are certainly a lot faster than last year 1:30.7 so far for Open, and Pro 1:25.7 Imagine what'll happen tomorrow!
  16. Russ into the 30's club! YEAH! 1:39.6
  17. It's a 300ZX, so it's a case of engine-out for anything regardless There is nothing wrong with Nistune for the average punter not wanting to go dual fuel and maintain a budget... I dunno why people keep knocking it. It's cheap and extremely cost effective and for 350rwkw can be made to work no drama in the world.
  18. Russman 1.40.9 Newton 1.35.4
  19. Yep Adam Newton with a 1:36 as well i do believe. SAU guys doing quite well! Haven't seen a time for Richo yet, but then I've been busy working (for a change)
  20. Haven't heard anything yet from that camp yet. None of the guys have said anything, early days anyway for testing. No doubt more info later today
  21. -9s will ALWAYS drop up to 3psi by 8200rpm when running 20psi+. You need to remember they are small turbos and come on @ 3300rpm. You cannot expect them to hold for 5000rpm of powerband as they are a response turbo, not a top end one. Usually they start falling off around 7000rpm and by 7500rpm it's time to change gears.
