  1. You can have a R34 GTR VSpec landed and complied for a LOT less than dreamer Carsales prices would have you believe. They simply aren't selling either if you watch them because they are way over priced in most instances. Come 6-12 months time the owners will wonder why they "didnt take the offer" they were given today, when they end up selling for even less... That's the way of the world It's the 34 NURs / LE's that are still fetching high prices as the price in Japan is going up, but then they are rare - where a R35 - simply isn't. 35 pricing will continue to drop, it ain't about to go up.
  2. Please use the search function. You'll soon see one of the turbos listed is Genuine Garrett, the other is a china copy.
  3. $800-$1000 Please read the "hypergear" thread. It's the only option that fits your budget. There is more than enough information on here. And no, the T04E is not a good purchase, don't even bother.
  4. You cannot bring in a whole car. You MUST cut it in half if it's just for parts and put them into a container & bring it in as a half-cut. Or you need to have all the approvals and what not inplace with a plan to register/comply etc. This is to avoid people rebirthing etc. There is more too it of course, as thats just high level. Although honestly if you didn't even know the basic info like that, you really shouldn't be thinking about bringing bulk-parts back as there is a bucket load more to consider (and costs) on top of that.
  5. Rotomaster in Somerton are a Garrett Distro, I've used them a few times. IIRC the best equipped are GCG/MTQ - but it's all near enough it would seem.
  6. Call an engineering group/firm/person that deals with it - better place to start given the broad nature of the topic/question.
  7. Don't drink and drive a keyboard.
  8. Yep! I'm sure Import Monster would gladly help you guys out with container and reduced shipping rates if you are all jumping in together... And Pete has run outta room with his latest junk run I'll run it by Aaron early next week when I see him next either way. Hard to get estimates without knowing how many sets though
  9. I would suggest taking the phone to the nearest Apple store and asking them.
  10. lol jesus... i didnt see that get released fairly ridiculous. although that said my tri-fan card ATM is quieter than the dual fan, MOAR!!!!
  11. How do you propose to get all the parts back here? In your suit case? You still have to go through the normal importation laws, compliance. shipping and so on... Why you wouldn't go through a known broker etc here is beyond me.

  13. Remember SAU For Sale rules apply to all sections. If you break them - you'll get warnings as do users in all other sections. If you are not interested in a product it's simple - do not post.
  14. Talk to the person that built the motor. Find out what was done to the head etc. Could be better off with stock cams, could be better off with slightly larger ones. All depends on the setup. I made 360rwkw on 19psi on a track tune with stock cams and a modified head and -5s for instance.
  15. You also forgot the past about Aussie Distro's price gouging the Aussie market to keep their margins huge. Have a look @ AD08s for instance. They were infinitely expensive compared to Tirerack for a long time. Then Yokohama Aus stopped Tirerack shipping them via Yoko US. At the same time the AD08 local price also dropped significantly almost overnight. Clearly this was done to stop people going via freight forwarders as the price is now "almost" the same as ex-US pricing by the time you get it delivered etc. So there is little point going US, deliver times etc. Just buy local now. We've been getting gouged heavily for years on certain items. Tirerack are a good thing for the market IMO. Obviously local pricing wont be "as good" as the USA due to purchase power and so on. If it was $150 more I would buy locally, but it's not $800+ a set difference, not justifiable at all.
  16. dislocated elbow the news says bit different to a break
  17. Bit bemused no-one would even think to contact me over the issues presented here. Closed. See my response here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/402827-buyer-beware/page__st__40__gopid__6468635#entry6468635 And all other people, that are businesses, have a good read of this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/406046-are-you-a-business-read-here-before-posting/
  18. If you are a business new to SAU - Welcome to one of the largest Automotive forums of it's kind in the world. If you are an existing business, you'd be likely aware of what is about to be said below. SAU requires all businesses wishing to trade/drum up/advertise their business - to pay a trader fee and get behind the website that you are getting business and exposure from. Our rates are very reasonable compared with other websites around Australia given the amount of traffic you will see. For more information on the trader options, see here: http://www.skylinesa...sau-click-here/ For the Fabrication section only, SAU is willing to negotiate pricing structure to your needs. Please contact Blitz or Myself via PM for further information & discussion. Due to recent events with businesses/individuals circumventing our rules, which overall are not very demanding, the following action is now being taken. As of today, 01/08/2012, any user we find posting in this section as a business - will have their threads closed. This includes but is not limited to: - Pictures of work, with clear user signature advertising and in-picture promotion/signage - Quoting/Pricing of items in threads - Drumming up sales via PM's (this includes quoting/pricing/selling). Admin discretion applies at all times & have various means to police/investigate the above. Only one warning will be given to businesses going against the rules. Second will be account suspension. We previously have never taken issue with users advertising in their signatures in other areas of the forum. However some users are only post in this section and nowhere else. Pretty blatant advertising in our eyes and as is usually the case, it's the few that have ruined it for the majority. We also need to look after those businesses who have stood up and engaged in a trader package. All threads that currently exist, will remain as they are a good resource even though quite a few contravene the above. If they are updated any further they will be removed. This action is unfortunate and really is a last resort as this section is generally a good resource. However we've tried to be nice about it and give people friendly "hints" to become a paying traders, and only a select few have bothered to do so. Thanks. Admin.
  19. 1. Which Admin did you report all of this to? With all the email, PM - and whatever other evidence you have? 2. What independent checks did you do first to ensure you were dealing with a legitimate and accountable business? 3. All approved SAU traders must go through a set amount of checks first and supply us with sufficient details. Not all businesses get approved, of that you can be certain as we reject quite a few. 4. It's a case of buyer beware. If you want to give money to users, or businesses (who, are circumventing SAU trading rules) - It's all at your own risk. We try to help where we can, but a fool and his money are soon parted unfortunately. We have lives, jobs, friends, hobbies outside of this place... Yet still have managed to get countless people's money back over the years, all are at least grateful. Either way, don't come back here attacking site Admin for what is essentially your own fault. If you could give me one reasonable and legitimate reason why this is SAU's problem, and not yours - I'm all ears. Mind you, this site, you do not pay to use. We do this job for you guys - for the love of it and nothing more. I can understand you are a bit upset about being stooged, but end of the day this is an experience you either get over and learn from, or stay bitter about until the end of time.
  20. price or lock
  21. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. It may be found here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums While we understand that it can be frustrating to have your thread closed - Please consider that other members may feel it to be disrespectful and selfish of you to post a simple question, without using the search feature to review the wealth of information provided by said members over the years. If you still feel that this action is unjust, then please PM me and we can discuss it further.
  22. You've never stepped over the line Dan, I'm not at all worried. Pity the same cannot be said for other businesses that continually try to circumvent the rules
  23. You might need coil packs, you won't know till you "get there" type thing. They might be ok, might not. Plus, just normal coppers are more than fine
