  1. Yeah thats what i was thinking something cheap as my PC mic is about $12, and it works very well all things considered. Pics up sound as good as you could expect. Not sure how it would go "in car", but i suspect a Jaycar $15 is probably much the same.
  2. Totally agree. GoPro sound is utterly woeful from the video I have. Admittedly it was outside the car, still shit house. I also had Scott's Contour GPS in the car - even the sound off that is pretty average and has a lot of interference. The picture on them both however was very good none the less. Definitely need one with good sound or even use an Aux mic setup perhaps?
  3. Good results by all - well done!
  4. Well the price I put forward wasn't exactly... Unhealthy So hurry up and sell some gear.
  5. Mate by and large - 99% of those mods mean sweet fk all. The turbos will make "X" power on "X" fuel. Rods mean nothing, pistons mean nothing, coils mean nothing. Same for injectors, fuel pumps, AFMs etc. None of them are contributing factors to a ET. They are simply supporting mods for the turbos. End of the day its the turbos that decide MPH, then traction for the ET Go and run, get the MPH, and work from there.
  6. What do you want to race in? Competitive or just for fun? Are you going to totally strip it and fully cage it or keep interior? Targa/Tarmac Rally is not the same as doing Improved Prod either. Sounds like you just wanna build a club level circuit car. Hate to say it... But in my experiences, Bilstein suspension for a car that will do road type events, will be largely rubbish.
  7. You better be keeping the list of stuff I want! Also add the steering wheel, been looking for a suede replacement
  8. Yes, i ran 24psi mid range with them. Was fine.
  9. LOL WHAT ??? They sent it to Lambo... hahaha. You can get it colour matched here
  10. That said - the timing will change. There is no way 6:15pm finish for one lap dash and then 6.30pm drags will start. The track will need to be prepped etc. So no doubt further revisions to come - so unfortunately timing will vary "on the day" i reckon. No way it's going to be squeezed in as tight as they are aiming.
  11. Look back a page or click: EVENT TIMING - PAGE 6 Fri night is check in Sat is race day. Sun is Show'n'Shine More detail in the Supp Regs RE: Check-in: Supp Regs No-flex near Calder Park (nearest suburb is Taylors Lakes) far as I know. You'll need to BYO. none yet Please look - everyone else received the email. I've confirmed with 4 people thus far. Maybe in your junk box??? No point resending if it just goes into Junk again Plan is - rock up on Sat or Sun as required. Nothing more needs to be done, it'll just over complicate.
  12. Didn't read my post? I can confirm local pricing has indeed been lowered substantially. You can still get them from tirerack if you know what you are doing, WITHOUT going through priceusa etc. But again, pricing has dropped, so there isn't any real need now.
  13. Given it was absolutely pissing down rain on Day 2 by late morning, some of the other guys going up on R-Comps with the roads having literally running water up higher in the climb - certainly a bit of insanity I'm lacking as I would pull the pin on those conditions. AD08s performed really well, great tyre they are.
  14. Well given by all reports - they bust them @ 400rwkw mark - would probably be a good idea!
  15. You have to change the settings - THEN re-subscribe - I think. I'm not 100% sure, but i get a new email/PM when threads start in sections and threads I'm watching. However my settings were always as above so i cannot confirm prior as the test server doesn't do email
  16. hahaha yes so true. Time to sell, buy a house, and in 4-5 years time get into it with some cash behind me! Still be a spring chicken compared to most as well
  17. Oh and Brisby is now known as "The Wombat"
  18. Was the road surface Ben, could see on the road where the inside wheel has lit up on uneven road surface and the left wheel was only semi touching the road due to a bit lip/hump in the road. Car with a smaller width wouldn't have even noticed it really. Great weekend overall though. The WRX that was leading had turbo or manifold gasket failure so unfortunate but not major in terms of damage. Then Traverso came off near the end into a tree (left hand front corner, sizeable hit) in the end section of the last session. From a touring group point of view I had a ball. Nick was up there also (LotusGTR), had fun playing with him in his GT3 Tarmac Rally is certainly more my "thing" than circuit work, bug well and truly planted. Went through ~75-85L of fuel, great fun. Great work from Peter, Tim & Mountain Motorsports to get it up and running. Best piece of road I've driven yet.
  19. As per the notice. Exhaust noise, is just exhaust noise.
  20. As per the other thread on this... These are the settings I've used. Yes you get a "PM", but its easy to delete. Takes 1 second with the bulk flag/delete after a week.
  21. Instead of posting a long part list - just post up power. Pretty easy to work out a ball park from there.
  22. That's NSW, not Vic.
  23. The stupidity always comes out when I'm away on a car weekend. Closed.
