  1. Where is this company located? Phone number? Contact? They don't seem to exist anywhere...
  2. Will you realistically get 30k for a stripped R32 GTR with a stock motor/turbos? Or is that detail not listed? If so, then ye sell away
  3. Someone had to get it going! I'm well aware of how badly rain sucks. I have the crown for being the most wet volunteer EVER at DECA. Wonder if people still have the pics of it lol. Was a few years ago now, torrential rain, and here was me standing on the skidpan starting people for a good 30-40mins Dedication some called it, I think it was stupidity. hahaha I welcome you to the brotherhood then
  4. Only for you RWD girls, ATTESSA will make mince meat of the wet! You RWD kids had epic advantage with dooorifto/tech/tight maps last time anyway I had a vision the other night. Aaron will bring a set of rims up for me, and there will be changeover for afternoon circle work
  5. Same stuff really internally. Differences are mainly ignition. R34 ignition setup is prone to failing, R33 setup is better. You also need IIRC a R34 PowerFC for instance to go with a R34 ignition. Paul will remember I'm sure. Other stuff is mainly visual with different cam covers etc. IMO you should get a 33 motor if you need one to put into a 32, all your existing stuff is changeover basically with you stuffing around. ECU will work as well.
  6. 100% agree with the above. Certainly not a waste of money yet
  7. Once the system is primed, 2-3sec after turning on ignition (pump turns off), it should start normally.
  8. Have a look @ the entry list - its up for people to see. Most of them are running around 500-600hp, no T51Rs in sight.
  9. ^ exactly my point lol.
  10. Paid $1500 for a T04E? Oh dear... Have a look @ the rear housing A/R, it looks quite big, in which case it would probably be a rather bad choice and terribly laggy for the power output
  11. Well that statement comes as no surprise given whoever it was, was trying to sell you something at the end of the day You'll notice it mate, no doubt about that one. If they are newly rebuilt, you could sell them for what, $800-$1000 - then a set of -9s would only cost you an addional $1400 That'll be less than the cost of swapping the turbos out later and the retune associated.
  12. Only issue with changing turbos later is $1,000+, hence i really think you should sell and buy better performaning ones. If you had a 18k 32GTR, were trying to save cash then i guess you could pass it by... But you have a 34GTR mate that's cost id say around 45-55k. Another 800-1200 for better turbos now is much more important and justified. 1,000rpm better response for the cost is the best money you'll ever spend. A 34 is also heavy making lag and delay between gears all the worse. Are you in Vic? Happy to take you for a spin in mine if you are.
  13. Most of the parts really won't make a difference - the key part is the turbo and exhaust in your setup. 3" is too small, 3.5" would be more ideal/suited. And the LeMans 581 turbos are incredibly laggy for the power (~330-340rwkw), as they are a design from the 1980's with nothing but top end in mind. The Garrett -9 would make similar power and come on around 1,000rpm sooner from all reports. I would look at selling the 581 and putting on different turbos if it were my choice. Turbos are what makes a setup, so spend the money there IMO. As Paul said, I wouldn't use a Walbro either. Bad experience with one 7 years ago, never going there again.
  14. ye true, i thought he might have had the AFM and ECU already which would kinda negate any need as when you buy a "motor" you rarely get all the I/C piping, intake etc. Usually just the elbows off the inlet/outlets. Depends on what one means by rolling shell as he said he had a loom, mehbee he has other stuff
  15. hehe this last page has made me giggle. Interesting end to all of it. I've lost my license before & by the same token beaten many many fanciful charges as well. If you've got the way/will to beat it, or use the law to your advantage. Power be to you for doing it. Sometimes the cost is not the issue, it's the principle of the situation. If more people stood up to the absurd laws, contested their fines then the court system would become clogged and something would be done about the ridiculous revenue raising which is the driving force behind all camera operations. It's got nothing to do with safety at all.
  16. Make sure you get fitted first, before buying online. Otherwise you can get something that might not fit your egg And careful of the US as i believe the sizing is a little different at times
  17. Won't matter dude what motor you get. The ignition setup (and ignition loom) will come with the motor, its not dependant on the actual engine loom itself. I believe the ECU can in some instances be a minor issue. Paulr33 was saying he's seen something. Hopefully he will post - but either way ECU's are $50 - so tis not a big problem neccesarily and easy to fix. More important you get a good condition motor, have it checked out and so on. S1/S2 motors for all intents and purposes produce the same results and are equally reliable. Just ignition is the major difference with a S2 motor not having the "black box" ignitor up the back of the coil pack cover
  18. I recently did my GTS-R back to factory (see sig for the link to the video, you can see the quality). Just in trims, moulds, rubbers etc etc was over $2,000 from Nissan brand new. I couldn't justify putting the 20-25yo trims/moulds/rubbers on a brilliant paint job when restoring a car So as i said, totally depends on what you want. If you wanted to use the stuff you have now, you'd save such costs but then the body would look like new, yet the plastic/rubber would all be 10-15yrs old, weathered and that type of thing. You might sand back a panel and find out it's been in some damage, needs repair and all of a sudden you get a $500 extra added on for instance. I mean some places will just respray the car for $1500 - but don't expect it to be a brilliant job. You will certainly find things you are not happy with, over time the paint can fade/peale tc. But for $1500 you can't complain @ that price. Only you can decide
  19. You guys should band together and make R32 GTS-t hoodies
  20. Enlarged returns you mean? Depends on the build, what restrictors are used etc. Best to talk to the guy building it. The latest 'craze' seems to be external drains for some reason. It's odd though as people rarely used them 12 months ago yet now it seems everyone needs to have one (which you really dont)
  21. Depending on the year of the GTR, there might not be intrusion bars in the door. This will make a major difference to weight. Pop the door skins off and compare the two.
  22. Anywhere from $2,000-$12,000 Totally depends on what you want done, how it's done. What products are used, what new parts are/are not sourced. Quality of the job etc etc.
  23. So just drag and usual hard street etc?
  24. Thread closed. Believe it or not, but since SAU started more than 7 years ago, this topic has been discussed before. Please use the search function in future. 25. Where are you getting a Getrag for 1.5k? They are $4500 minimum. Fact. If you are looking to 'adapt' a 6-speed out of some other car like a S15 or something, you should stop that idea right now as you are going backwards. They are not as strong. There are other factors you've not thought of like speedo calibration/signal/ECU, gearbox mouting, possibly tunnel changes, 100% custom driveshaft will be a LOT more than 200, clutch to suit it all etc etc. It's not as simple as you are making out dude, nor it is cheap. Anyway you don't really seem to have a good idea of whats involved so I'm out of this thread. Good luck with a 6-speed conversion.
