  1. I think going GT-RS is a bad decision. If you need to upgrade turbos, get -5s at the maximum. I think Piggaz will no doubt give you a nicer insight if he see's this thread as even with 2.8l, his GT-RS setup is extremely laggy. -5s are noticeably laggier than GT-SS (-9), but will make more power. I've just done a similar swap from -9 to -5... Personally I'd not do it again given a second chance as just general driving around the response was amazing. That said -5s certainly come into their own above 150km/h but forget it below that as you have to ring the cars neck to makeup the difference. If you go E85 on the -9/GT-SS's you should be able to make around 360rwkw, maybe 370rwkw which is what -5s do on PULP. This would certainly be the best of both worlds where you get response (and added response again with E85) and the higher top end.
  2. That's an issue with people linking from imgshack. Not us/we can fix
  3. It's like Ferrari exhaust values. It comes factory, it's ok. That's how archaic the Victorian and Australian laws are. 25 yrs behind the times.
  4. Unless they have someone to do it on the Wed night - you'll need to do it express to get it in time. It'll cost you double i believe, details are online www.cams.com.au If your guardian cannot attend, i do not believe you will be able to participate unless you go with a nominated party. Again, you'll need to check this with the organisers.
  5. Or get a GTR alloy one
  6. K-sports/D2 are all the same dude as they come in exactly the same box and so on. You'd take a fair stab it's the same factory. Do you have hard evidence to suggest otherwise? Hope you didn't pay too much though (PM me the price if you want). The KSport GB i've been trying to get off the ground looks like it might almost be possible Either way they certainly cannot be beaten for the price. Scotsman recently did a 1:19 around Sandown with 320rwkw or so and those brakes. Obviously with uprated pads. Proof is right there in my books and he's done a number of track days now without an issue
  7. - They are 1980's bush bearing, they will have more movement. - If they have been off the car for a while there will be no oil, they will have more movement. If you are worried, get them rebuild. Would be around 400-500/turbo. Or take them to a specialist and let them have a wiggle. Side to side is no issue in most cases. It's in.out (ie, pulling on the wheel) that you need to be concerned about.
  8. We go one better here. Because you posted a ridiculous price, we close it. Post an accurate ball park figure you are asking for, or don't bother.
  9. What you mean into their zones? As in where they come from? Thats reasonable given pings etc
  10. No KERS - But he has the KERS weight - Given it failed on practice lap
  11. Ye it was not activated last 3 laps for sure... Pity as it might have made it a bit more interesting in the last few laps
  12. Petrov the Topol!
  13. Look on their website, don't be lazy.
  14. Np dude, i'd hate to see you end up with a broken motor and then in the pooper money wise. Seen it happen to a few forum users & club members over the years and its unfortunate Nope. I just get some of my work done there depending on what i need
  15. Just like anywhere else. Everyone has a good/bad story. Without the other side you never know the full picture anyway.
  16. You can chase more power - however i would honestly advise against it. Seems you missed my point in the above, ill try again R33 motors are getting old now like R32 ones - ~15yrs. If you do not have the budget nor want to rebuild - do not chase that extra 20-30rwkw. Be happy where it is regardless of how tempting it might sound. Its when you want that "extra 10-20" that shit will go wrong.
  17. Used state roads 3-4 times now, no issues. Will use again.
  18. Safe tune, safe boost level - all on a stock motor with stock parts. I don't really see what the issue is here... 290rwkw = normal for all of the above. Look @ the before/after graphs though. It's not just about peak power dude. If you wanna chase power (maybe 30rwkw if you are lucky)... Injectors - 700 AFM - 700 Pump - 400 Cam gears - 300 (if you dont have already) Then there is tuning costs for all the new parts and so on. So spend $2500 more for the bit of power, or be happy as is mate. You'll then make around 300-320rwkw on 20-22psi but it's a question of reliability mate. If you cannot afford the rebuild (8-10k) then don't chase the power. I think its quite resonable and safe if you are on a budget. Also there is no risk of the turbos shitting a wheel and destroying your motor. Oh and side point, don't worry about anything bodge has to say - he is just a serial sook that complains about his set-up in every thread that mentions Racepace, yet won't actually get looked at. He'd rather just complain for 12 months about it
  19. lol @ exemption regardless. Not even Lewis Hamilton gets an exemption from stupidity.
  20. Mate for 22k - spend another 10-12k and buy mine. Full built motor, suspension, wheels, rebuild transfer case, clutch - the works Save yourself 10k (it'd cost you over 40-45k to build what i have) and walk away with a 370rwkw track ready/street warrior GTR without leb-spec modifications.
  21. 99% of the time. If its on ebay, don't bother.
  22. Marko - Please read the forum rules. Starting one thread per item, and having 10+ threads is ridiculous. Threads have been merged inline with For Sale area rules. 1-2 threads, ok. 10+, not ok.
