Yep, that's pretty much how it goes!

Good to hear! most results have been with stock style setups. be good to see it on a modded on dude

No patience friday?

I think it's actually quite good. It gives you a pretty good indication if your setup is performing inline with other similar setups, or you have issues. (once you take into account a little bit of varience as nothing is perfect). See if you have no example to use as a baseline/benchmark then you are really none the wiser. EG: Some have made only 300rwkw with a GT35 on 20psi only to come to SAU, find out people are making upwards of 340-350rwkw and then do some more R&D. Low and behold 3-4 weeks later they have another 40rwkw. That to me is a great ending to a resource of comparative information Although your comment is somewhat contradictory when you spend a lot of your time in the EFR/GTX threads posting dyno results for varying turbo comparo's - as that's exactly what goes on here

Ok i realise you are new to the scene, so i'll open your eyes up a bit. We have 3, maybe 4 officers who regularly look on the forums in the Vic section. So "via PM" means nothing as they will just PM you and get the info that way. The "via PM" doesn't work. So please use the events section, and please follow the guidelines I've mapped out there. This isn't NS.com, people behave around this place and we have nothing to hide. If there are police then that's just bad luck. However deliberately chosing to go somewhere that will have at least 10 HWY patrol cars on it between the hours of 10pm-2am, is probably not the smartest idea. If you want to organise a photo shoot, then realistically "the HWY" has absolutely nothing to do with it, and a bad choice of venue. I'd suggest to read the events guidelines, if you want to do a photo shoot then plan it in advance. Cheers.

Not really hate – Just the fact that AMM, well Garage 7 to be more precise, have the option to use a reasonable correction factor to bring it almost identical to a roller. Yet they choose not too for whatever reason. Maybe people just like seeing bigger numbers, i dunno. End result is people then claim results are “rwkw” which is just wrong and over inflated by a ridiculous margin As a result I’m not sure if you mean 60kw or 60rwkw in terms of what you were told to expect 60rwkw I think is a weeee bit optimistic, however 20-30rwkw is certainly something to look forward to getting. But yes, you should certainly see some gains mate and they will be noticeable. There is no doubt in my mind about that as everyone that has toyed with VCT over the years and posted results they’ve only ever gone one way, and that is VCT ON is the only way to go! Especially as stated above with regards to an extra psi or two. Get everything happening even as little as 300rpm earlier and it’ll have massive benefits to the low/middle area of the graph which you’ll feel on the street massively as that’s the main section of torque too. You also get the added benefit of E85 which does seem to bring things on a bit earlier again so it’s a win-win situation. Get it on there with a manual switch and then just do a run or 3 and have a look at what it does.

It's @ the hub's dude, take off around 40-50kw and it's getting closer to being realistic Taking that into account "60kw" maybe possible at the hub. 60rwkw however - not a chance. I mean there is no way you will make a legit 370rwkw from a 3076 on E85 when everyone else in the country makes 320-330 VCT seems to give ~20rwkw at the most at certain RPM points only. Sometimes it can be a bit more. Agree RE: do it manually for now and just see what happens. Every car is different - it's a built motor too so no doubt some minor touch ups have been performed so the gains certainly are there, it's just a question of where and how much.

Screaming Brakes
R31Nismoid replied to dnicholson's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Probably because it has? I put "squealing" into the search 1st page returned 10 threads, some of them are 3 pages long. It's one thing to put one word into the search and give up, it's another to try a 2nd word and find a dozen results. Whilst i can understand it's upsetting for newbies to have their threads closed, have a think about the people who've answered the same question over, and over. Do them some justice for giving their time/advice for free. -
Fail To Give Way - To Challenge Or Not To Challenge In Court?
R31Nismoid replied to some_cs_student's topic in Victoria
And this is where your issue is going to be. Expectation does not proceed awareness. You are meant to be aware and observant at all times. I remember it from my "Ps" test actually where they use the example of a country road - driving along and you get a few options 1. looking dead ahead 2. looking all around you for potential dangers/hazards Obviously it's #2. Either way it's a shitty situation and just the Police being arseholes really. Something like this shouldn't have occurred, it'll probably be a young constable out to get some brownie points. -
NSW club member - no problem. Check your PM.

Fail To Give Way - To Challenge Or Not To Challenge In Court?

Laith put it better than i did His meaning it what i was getting at lol... -
The PCI SSD's are still not as cheap as the 2nd gen SSD. They are line ball still even though they should be cheaper theoretically. 3rd Gen SSD's are coming out. I've been watching as I'm due to a refresh in the next 6 months and intel is due for another update in Q4 i believe. So end of year will be good timing i think. SSD wise - put the game(s) on it also. just having it on the OS is only boot time and sometimes load performance. However games do benefit from being on a SSD. No doubt about that

Technically speaking, you did fail to give way to a moving vehicle based upon your description. So yes he was @ fault for not following road laws, you are also guilty Thats a fken messy situation because of how the road it. If you are going to contest - get a lawyer. I think its very unreasonable and a typical example of Police wasting public money/cash grabbing as logic would tell you charges are unreasonable. -
It's like DECA... When they forecast rain - it never actually does I've been to HCote maybe 5 times when its raining in Melb, and for 40mins of the drive. Get to the track and it's dry and ready for racing!
-
Oh look Heathcote has it's place. Not saying it's bad dude. I've raced there more than I've raced @ Calder over the years and it was good value under the old owners. I remember Paul has like 25 or 30 runs on SAU Drag Day we had up there - that was surely worth some sorta prize.

Upgrading Gtr Injectors And Fuel Pump
R31Nismoid replied to rhysc1986's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
300rwkw you might find will be OK with stock injectors. Some cars are, some aren't so as Jez said - just go with a fuel pump for now mate. If you need them, get them. Otherwise you can tune to 280/290rwkw and save $700-$900 (purchase/fitting). What turbos do you have? 300rwkw means non factory so you could probably make more if you did get injectors, you will need AFM's though. -
How Much Oil For Rb25 With Hks Oil Cooler
R31Nismoid replied to Kaido_RR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just full it to tjd 'H' marker is about right. -
+1 to the above. Same shit, different part number for all intents and purposes
-
+1 for plugs.
-
And hence i didn't say 7-8psi As seen from Al's own 3076 results, the turbo simply noses over around the 320-340rwkw marker anyway as they just can't flow anymore and are absolutely on the limit. conan isn't after more power anyway - it's a response question. Exhaust could aid in that area, i dont think the rest however will. (unless its tested and shown to have issues)
-
^ Ye but think, ~5psi for only 20rwkw more (or there abouts). Things are certainly on the limits of flow @ these points. Be interesting to see the heat/Intake temps as well on such high levels Still agree though, 3.5" exhaust could add benefit. Simple way to test that anyhow, just drop it from before the CAT - do a run and have a looksee I'd be surprised if going from a 60mm to 100mm I/C, larger piping and so on - That you'll see increased response. It's more than likely going to hurt it making everything bigger. It's just more volume/area that needs to be filled at the end of the day.

Did he admit fault to insurance? But your description doesn't make much sense either way... Im confused. Draw some arrows or something as it sounds like you are both doing the same thing...
