What do you mean not practical? I cannot find a reason ever NOT to need 350rwkw of RB26 fun. My brakes are ridiculously noisy (DS3000's), my tyres are noisy (semi's), 7.5lts of oil takes 10-15mins to warm up & the exhaust is perhaps a bit louder than it should be. Do i care? Fk no. I knew what i was getting into! I get in there, everytime and i love it. Same for my GTS-R. No issues or complaints, i get out with a smile everytime even if its just been putting around the street.

Stainless steel manifolds generally crack because most of them are shit quality - ie cheap china rubbish. The only way is to distribute the weight by welding on some extra support from the flange to say the collector area. Also ensure the exhaust is not putting weight onto the setup and is correctly mounted to avoid this. Flex joins for instance are a must.

It'll be interesting to see if do/don't have issues with the 90 degree and merge that close. You tend to wanna push push them closer to behind the headlight where you've put the P/S res. But wait and see i guess.

Define "quiet". One persons version is not the same as another. Quiet according to the law is 90dB @ 4700rpm no load, this requires basically 2 of the bigggest mufflers you can fit for a 3" or larger exhaust. Now the mid muffler is going to be nowhere the same in terms of effect as its smaller than the rear will be and you basically have 2x4" noise amplifiers So putting in the bigger possible mid-muffler is realistically your only choice. I'd take a stab @ it probably being at least 96-98dB @ 4700rpm no load, which is massively louder and will realistically never be "quiet" and it will always drone etc as thats the effect of 2x4" outlet pipes, it might even be more even with a mid muffler. No one can tell, and as i said - no two persons definition is the same.

You actually couldn't be more wrong. Longnose R200 in a HR31 is a 2-way mech locker, just very loose. Few places and shims later, it's exactly the same as the Nismo item, or better if you customise it up a bit.
