  1. ^ and that's the thing. You can make power on a 3" exhaust. However as many have seen before, a simply upgrade to 3.5" or 4" gives them better power overall, more timing, same boost. Not unknown for a car to take an extra 2-4 degree's of timing, make 10-20rwkw more and not have an increase in boost what so ever just from exhaust changes like that. On E85 / -5s / built motor = over 400rwkw But as i said about the OP's exhaust, the CAT is 100% a problem. No doubt about it. 4" CAT as a min. Just have a look down one, it can't possibly not pose a restriction hence a nice big mofo is needed, bigger than the exhaust itself.
  2. Depending on what state you are in - modifying the car for performance is illegal be it a turbo or N/A model anyway. In Vic, make power mods, you still get boned even if it's N/A IMO 6,000 you will see not even 50% of the potential you could from a turbo motor. 6k spent on an N/A, you'll be lucky to go from 90-100rwkw to 140rwkw. Where as with a RB25DET conversion you'll go from 140rwkw to 200rwkw and still have money left over. I think the best choice is hold onto the N/A, get off P's and then put that 6k towards a nicely modded GTS-t Otherwise, do what Keiran said and buy some decent wheels. Only issue there is - insurance probably wont cover the full value of them
  3. Well it is your end mate. I use it from work - faster Mobile - faster Home - faster All other users have reported the same thing by and large so any slowness would be @ the user level.
  4. The factory line has lasted what, nearly 20 years now? Braided lines will not last that long. Nissan can get them, you just need a part number and they are not overtly expensive
  5. IMO braided lines are a bad idea. Just buy replacement lines from Nissan
  6. IMO if you want response, you have the wrong turbos for a start. -5s are 380-400rwkw of turbo on around 20-22psi. Also only making 300rwkw on 20psi with -5s, something is wrong as that figure is rather low. 300-330rwkw are -9/GT-SS territory on around 20psi So you have two choices. Stick with the turbo's you have, and you simply wont be getting any more response Or swap em. Pod's are a waste of time, the stock airbox is fine for 380rwkw without a drama. Injectors you certainly need, and a 4" CAT at least
  7. 5000cc, made in Russia. Come on mate, how can there be "one best" injector when set-ups vary from 200rwkw to 600rwkw? Insufficient detail to answer such a question.
  8. Plenty of info in the Forced Induction section. Just search with RB22 / RB23 / RB24 etc etc. Plenty of very long threads.
  9. Keep the VCT, it is there for a purpose, it does off very good gains. You'd be mad not to keep it IMO.
  10. ^ ROFL WINNER
  11. Update it for what? It works fine.
  12. The forum is faster than ever for me, it was very noticeable speed increase immediately after the update. It's also faster from my mobile... Im not sure why you would be experiencing slow response.
  13. Im flat out with work the next week So the week after ill organise another - perhaps BC2?
  14. Read the thread i locked. Warning added.
  15. As Jonno said - it's just the peak. If you set it to real-time monitor you will see the bar constantly moving. IT honestly sounds like you don't really understand the basics of the PFC & Hand Controller
  16. I'd be thinking a similar thing. If it was from ICE down here in Vic, I'd be even more worried... There were plenty of no-so favourable experiences that myself and several friends went through before they shut doors.
  17. Exactly. There is no way the PFC was registering "0" knock.
  18. Both are around the same level of "bad" as each other.
  19. 30 is perfectly normal for most tunes and within acceptable range. The motor will never have zero, in fact you will rarely see the sensor read below 10. If you are worried about the tune, it's quite simple - Don't drive around on boost. If you stay off boost, low load/RPM then it should be fine.
  20. It never made that much power, that's just a lie.
  21. Use the correct section.
  22. Pretty fast? 1.5hrs to install a cat-back exhaust is terrible. Should take no more than 20mins at the most
  23. Sounds like a business to me. Locked. Do not start another thread until such a time as you read the Trader thread. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ No business advertising will be tolerated by businesses not paying.
  24. You can take it to court. However lets be honest, how many people really are "legal". Very very few.
