  1. Sounds like a load of bullshit to me. For 30yrs my family has had a holiday house right on the GOR. 10yr old cars, 25yr old boat/trailer etc. They live every day in the sea air, get wet all the time - all are fine. Not a iota of rust on them. As long as you wash the car, look after it and if any paint chips off to metal - get it fixed - then you won't get rush issues to be honest. Rust won't get in if you repair any damage etc. Even my GTSR while it was getting the body work done, only had rush in the area's that had damage associated. All other area's were 100% rust free. And that's a 25yo car.
  2. AASA or CAMS is needed, says so in the supp regs There is a section on the online form that you need to enter it into as well.
  3. when you say its around the corner, you mean the exchange? If so, it'll be fast as f**k if they have ADSL2+ support. dont worry about their promises or whatever as the closer you are, the faster it is. They can't stop that. Although TPG do artificially shape you without warning & reason - and then deny it, so be wary of them. Although due to the waste of money NBN, most internet companies are not installing decent infrastructure anywhere so you'll probably just be stuck with shitty ADSL.
  4. Totally depends on what else you find when it gets pulled apart. There might be a bit more than just piston dmg due to the detonation. It could be 2.5k, it could be 4k
  5. If i can get a service/pad done in time i'll be a starter for this. Gonna be struggling though, working graveyard all fken week next week and ive gotta move apartment
  6. It is a WRX Club run trackday. As long as you have a trackday license, fill out the forums and pay your cash, all you need. There is no car type/model restriction. You will also need to read the supp regs to ensure you car is upto spec. fire extinguisher, tow/battery markings, bonnet latch (as its just not worth the hassle on the day), and HELMUT, ankle/wrist clothing/closed shoes etc.
  7. It's a long time mates pre-wedding on Sat night, and Chris will be there
  8. ye fair enough. all mine are 1080p lol, i should do an inventory, i must have at least 100-150 by now, maybe more
  9. Paul - Are your movies all 1080p/5.1 DTS or just DVD?
  10. Some cars here/there have issues it would seem, but lately it seems everyone posting up coming Unigroup is having this issue almost exclusively This must be the 6th or 7th person mentioning this since Dec i think. (i don't mean that in a bad way either, just stating a trend I've noticed) I wonder what the other big workshops do about this, seems CRD have something but its not commonly required. A topic for Sat nights dinner with a few people has just been born lol
  11. You dont neccesarily need a bigger cooler - just a better one that doesnt have a cheap ass core inside it that doesnt flow. There are plenty on the market, just comes down to your budget.
  12. stock rods have held with 440rwkw on a number of cars, 8500rpm no problem. so for you, they will be fine. using decent rod bolts is an absolute must for it to work.
  13. It won't be in the map, it'll be something else dude. As i said - just because you are "told" the timing belt is correct, does not mean it is. Cars can have a belt off 1-2 teeth and run/idle perfectly but have issues @ varying points. You really need to have it all checked and ruled out otherwise you'll never get anywhere.
  14. You want to stand out but you want to put a V8 in for something like Summernats...
  15. Well we all know it's not the cams, plenty of people have run far more power with the same turbo. Check the timing belt is on correct, even if you've checked it. Recheck. the amount of times this has been the issue is amazing of late. Doesnt sound like exhaust issues, either way drop it from the dump pipe, super easy check Inlet manifold as stated above is a good option too, but more hassle Measure boost pressure @ turbo outlet and somewhere after the intercooler to check to see if there is a pressure drop/issue That'll give you plenty for now.
  16. There is no reason a proper muffler, cannot be legal, look stealth and be reasonably affordable. Varex cost more, are still deflectable and I'm yet to hear one that gives a decent exhaust note. I really can't see how they offer anything. As for the tip, just have it the same size as the exhaust itself. If its 3", just a 3" tip. This also helps reduce drone and noise. Otherwise just go twin tip muffler looks much more factory if that's what you want.
  17. I tested with one of my many test accounts also, just in case it was permissions. It's not that either, im using the same broswer as you are. You need to disable all add-ons, delete/purge all temp/cache, reboot router and ensure any virus protection is turned off. Sorry mate but I can't help you anymore than the above, it's your end.
  18. Working fine here, any issues are your end/browser.
  19. Only the GT3's pull off the orange wheels properly. All prior examples, shithouse. lol You car was clean dude, very clean. IMO its a great example. I don't hate cars such as that. If it was a shitbox, well... ye thats then fair
  20. Good cruise Good turnout of cars Had to leave after food/Healsville stop as I had to be @ work 3-3.30, never would have made it back if I kept going Those "award winning" sausage rolls have left a bad taste in my mouth, bloody woeful.
  21. Chris - The post was removed until absolute confirmation is attained. No further information will be provided until everything is signed/finalised/agreed upon. As I've stated a few times, once we know and have everything confirmed, information will all be posted up and everyone contacted that needs to be regarding supporters/sponsors/media and other interests. This will be a big event, there will be some massive headline/workshop cars coming along to support it. Thanks Ash
  22. *In for bagging of Mohsen for getting lost on his own after the line was 30 cars long
