  1. agreed, cams are far too big. it will ruin the response of the -7 in a bad way.

  3. yeah as stated, use factory. do not go braided
  4. Have a read of this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/164533-organising-an-event/ Saying "lets meet" will never happen. Set something up.
  5. he he GTR fuel gauges, i get 120 to the first 1/4. the last 1/4 about 60
  6. As with all other "VS" threads - closed. Each car is different, performs different and will even give different results in different drivers hands. Its upto you to look at what you want, specs/use and make your own decision. "VS" threads are largely pointless, perhaps try reading Motor Mag if you want to find some sort of "rank"
  7. Indeed there are. However, they are not businesses and they are not promoting - you unfortunately are. So inline with forum policy, if yo wish to advertise/promote/trade/whatever, you are required to become a paying trader like all other businesses: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/294953-are-you-a-business-want-to-advertise-on-sau-click-here/ Thanks. Admin
  8. Sounds like a normal day out then LOL. I always manage to freeze my arse off @ deca in the morning and become a lobster in the arvo
  9. Problem is dyno aint the be all with cams as it comes down to head work, application of the car and what you want (ie certain tracks even benefit from certain aspects). Remember Racepace cars were faster with smaller cams - which didn't necessarily look favourable on a loaded dyno run. It's the on/off throttle stuff that you can't see sometimes... and hence its very much a topic that will go forever IMO given there is clear rules like there is with say turbos and your choice/power etc
  10. Honestly just disable them through the menu and tune around them. I managed 600kms to a tank on the FWY with a 350rwkw 33GTR and no O2 sensors enabled. I can get around 250-400 around town depending on my mood They honestly do sweet FA if your tune is good. Saves you money as well. I didnt run them in the GTS-R either, and with a 270rwkw setup and 4.3'a (so over 3000rpm @ 100km/h), i still could get 550km to a tank
  11. Latest list - Signature/Profile sizes not being “scaled” correctly: Eg below. You can see the large pic goes under the page skin, this occurs fairly often Profile: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/user/42272-don-dada/ - Forum Server/System clock is out by 1hr. Posts made @ 5pm, say 4pm. Its screwing with the "latest posts" feature I think. - Trader rating viewable from threads - SA Club user bars (Exec are fine, Club are not working) - Remove reputation system - “Report Post” button does not work, spits out error - 10 post restriction before PM, has been removed. Needs to be reinstated. Already had spammers attacking the forum. - Signature size limits not working - View new content is not in sync/ordered at all. Sometimes the "new" stuff on page 1 can be 2-4 days old. C is having a look over the next few days.
  12. guess 60.77 is all i need to beat? ha ha ha
  13. A GTR doesn't have half the ECU trickery a EVO does. Nothing better than pre-season banter
  14. Only those who need 'assistance' to go fast
  15. Terrible list as moodles said. You really need to do your homework mate. You are just brand name shopping rather than beneficial shopping. Don’t need: Fuel rail Fuel reg Injectors are too small for 440rwkw+ Iridi plugs Coil loom Useless d1 “catch can” Hose kit, get proper Nissan I’m sure there are more. Things like gearboxes, clutches, suspension, brakes etc are not covered at all and will easily see you drop another 15k. Also you are running a factory motor, A GTX35 or a GT42 are far too big for 350rwkw. Don’t think just because it has “low” km’s and it was “babied” that it will last. Biggest misconception so far. So in the mean time why don’t you buy a turbo more appropriate and then change once you actually DO get a new bottom end built? As most people will know, nothing ever happens in 2 weeks. Time and time again people come here with big super el-grande plans, rarely do they eventuate Also N1 pumps are not necessarily a problem. There have been a select few failures, out of probably 1000’s of pumps. No pump is indestructible if abused whether it carries a $600 price tag or $1700.
  16. lol. And furthermore, he clearly hasn't seen a Tomei pump either.

  18. No pump is safe from being destroyed if you limiter bash. Even Tomei's can be killed. spending more is not necessarily 100% fail proof due to the pump design!
  19. Yep. Doesn't matter where you hit it, it's still not a good idea. Obviously if things are turning 1000rpm less, there is less overall stress etc - but not really worth the chance. I remember on guy a while back - using a BeeR limiter thing and smashed a pump even @ lower rpm/shooting flames!
  20. Mine see's 8000rpm very regularly. 7.5 won't be a problem, just don't slap the limiter. All 3 RB motors i've had built so far, all N1 pumps, all 8000rpm - no problems. I just don't limiter
  21. As per the above. The RB25 dyno thread has more than enough results for you to workout what you want. - YOU need to set the power goal. - YOU need to set the budget. Once you know those two things, simply compare against one of the 600 results in that thread. Further to that, if you simple put "3071" into the search here, you will find probably half a dozen 6-page threads on that single turbo alone Have a good go @ reading mate. There is more info than you can dream of in the pages of this forum about GT3071/GT3076/GT3073 Thanks.
  22. Well off you go then - @ $4,000 for that car - it's a bargain. It's $1,000 under your budget!
  23. You know all i see is <blah <blah <blah?
  24. Yes and you can do the same to a Garrett actutor also.
