  1. Ye the new crank cost is going to be the killer part out of all of it really. Stock (or just replacement pistons) are cheap etc. It'll be mainly eaten up in labour & machining costs along with the crank. Prices will vary but be expecting around the 5k marker as stated. A 2nd hand motor could be sourced and installed for half that - So you really have to ask yourself how long you are going to keep the car. Inside of 5 years, IMO forget it. Buy a 2nd hand motor. Sell the RB25 head/parts and overall the replacement has cost you 2k.
  2. They dont perform or last as long as a proper Z32 - so pretty much a no brainer - don't waste you money. New Z32 AFM's are not that expensive anyway.
  3. added although it tells me you dont use msn? lol
  4. How do you know the Bugatti aint neck & neck with it? You can't see nothing in the video Plenty of cars would beat it though - i mean think about some of the crazy stuff in America from Underground with their TT Lambo's & Rarri's
  5. You didn't pay that much for them - so piss off. Scalping is illegal.
  6. Was a lot longer than a 1/4 mile - either way who cares in all honesty. The skyline is clearly a deadicated 300km/h race car or similar, has an dog aweful interior that resembles something out of a bathroom. Looks like it's fully stripped etc. Given its LHD, it's clearly not from Aus or Jpn. Doesn't show you how much it 'beat' it by either - and i say 'beat' simply because who knows what was going on. You can't see shit, don't know what overall speeds were. Being faster than a Bugatti isn't neccesarily "hard", it just requires money that translates to a lot of power in a heavily stripped out race car thats clearly not on street rubber either like the Veryon. Videos like that are boring.
  7. That's because it's being dealt with - sorry i thought you were the same person as I've had a few people PM me about this. Hard to keep track when there is 20 PM's a day coming in mate. End of the day - it's buyer beware. You need to contact the Police in your local state, and go from there. There is not a lot SAU can do. I have shot this user a PM, but clearly if he had dodged you - there is little we can do about it mate. You should not have blindly EFT'd money across the internet. PM me all the info you have, i will add him to the bad trader listing. That's all we can offer here.
  8. If i didnt have a mates bucks that i'd organised... I'd be in attendance
  9. There are no performance gains going to external gate, just over complicating everything. Also that exhaust is too small - you need at least 3.5", more likely 4" With two big/decent sized mufflers it won't be that loud at all. My 3.5" exhaust is around 90dB with two of the biggest mufflers possible - still makes power fine.
  10. I understand there but there needs to be a 3 month cutoff date for even a EOI - otherwise a EOI could run for 6 months.
  11. if you scout, and workout how far the pool is done/how many workers you can gauge what they are doing tis all about timing
  12. so easy to counter - same as a ling rush simply make your barracks or gateway sooner
  13. ^ Yeah i dunno what he is going on about to be honest... Clearly doesnt understand what makes each different, or what a definition of lag is either Well it takes you a lot longer than me, given I'm well and truly on boost by 3500rpm Come on man, some logic please! Who would bolt on 450-500rwkw worth of turbo without such mods Get your car to 5000rpm, jump off the throttle and then jump back on it - you cannot sit there and legitmately say there is instant boost. It takes ages (in my terms, clearly nothing in yours) lol you class RS's the same as i do on a 2.6l you muppet I'm gonna slap you when I'm up there next!
  14. lol... Flush fitment and outside the guards = no longer flush. outside the guards can get you defected, simple as that. All it will come down too is the officer at that point in time. Some will get pinned, others wont. Just remember if you do get pinned/pulled over for it - then it's likely you'll get reamed for other stuff. I'm a bit fan of less attention, the cheaper/easier your life is
  15. I'll run on the front rollers if you want when in RWD mod, that way they are all turning if it'll make you feel better? Drop the shaft and see for yourself perhaps - only takes 15mins and you too can become a believer as it's not 40/60 either, it's totally dependant on many factors and is NOT a set figure so whilst a GTR indeed is 4WD, it's not fulltime 4WD or a set percentage fulltime - its variable. Certainly not AWD either. Just have a look @ the gauge next time you are driving around. Half the time the gauge is only moving minor amounts not even close to 30% GT-RS are laggy on a 2.6l by my definition, and plenty of others. Everyone just classes "lag" differently. Some people find it acceptable (you) that useable power doesnt come on until after 4500rpm, some don't (me)
  16. lol - i'll happily 3v3 custom with you blokes to give some practice on maps/tactics Forget ladder though, luck would have it we'd end up matching against mates of mine hhaha. My mates are a bit unreliable at the moment though - its hard enough for us to even get each other online lol. Maybe try organise for like a Tues next week or somethin? WC3 solo/team was similar in some instances however SC2 team play is massively different from solo IMO as just a simple thing like map draw can have major impact. Some maps have some ridiculously abusive strats that are so easy and so effective it makes you cry - nothing that can't be stopped/countered though
  17. We are on a much older forum version - no updates/fixes are being applied to this version as the new one is going through testing shortly and should address any compatability issues
  18. ^ N1's are not ceramic The N1's will make 280-300rwkw, more if they are the larger version (they are not being discussed here though). You need a ECU (Eg. PowerFC) to make use of this however.
  19. awkw/rwkw same shit mate. GTR's are NOT 50/50 fulltime 4WD like a EVO/STi. People need to start realising this. It's been proven time and time again there is minimal difference between the two. 10-15kw difference as tested on several cars over 400kw @ the wheels by various users now on various dynos. Have a search for the threads if you don't believe me IMO 425rwkw/awkw and E85 is a poor result for that much boost when -5s (read: smaller turbos) would make those numbers on 24psi/E83 Oh and you easily have a 10 sec GTR with 425rwkw, you can run mid 10's with less than 400
  20. ^ Yeah as stated factory manifolds are the way to go. Ryan the -5s will EASILY make 500hp. Hell they make 500rwhp(370rwkw) on 18-20psi which is fine for any build. You will crack 400rwkw on a bigger $$ motor and more boost however 370/380rwkw on 20psi is standard output to be honest - and thats with factory manifolds I mean you are paying what $700 or so landed for OBX manifolds when Tomei ones are $900-$1000 landed. If you really must/want to change them, i'd be spending the slight bit extra and slapping -5s onto those End of the day its a lot of dicking around and expense considering you will get no discernable performance gain. Add to the fact you are then complicating the setup considering what you have now will fit your requirements and then some. Are you looking @ TD05 high or lowmounted?
  21. ^ Ye but trent doesnt have Cobb far as i know which is what the OP is specifically asking about. RE customs have the software. I believe there are a few others around, no doubt Snowman will post up as he should know
  22. If you get EPA'd they will generally have a look under the car if it has a 3" exhaust but is under the DB limit - to check for that kinda thing. They had a GOOD look under my car when i went there wih a 3.5" exhaust and passed. Dude couldnt believe his eyes until he saw the size of the mufflers etc. Also it wont stop the officers hearing you drive past and defecting you based upon that which tends to happen a bit as well Its a good idea in theory, and in other states would probably work a treat however Vic just doesnt roll like that if you get the wrong officer on the wrong day. Other issues you'll come by are how low the exhaust has to hang to cater for the motor part of the varex, and thats if it will even fit under there to begin with (in terms of overall muffler size). So that would bring about potential ride height issues or a very obvious "dip" in the exhaust to lower it enough to cater for the varex motor.
  23. There are already 100's of reputable workshops for all varying types of models, makes - local/import whatever. Why would you bother getting someone from O/S, added costs, when what is here... is fine.
  24. umm two ECU's? The PowerFC does all that...
