  1. As always - there will be people that will pull out. So get your stuff sorted out.
  2. Where did i say 1000rpm better response? I didn't. I said quite clearly - power band. Useable RPM range. All your dyno sheets tend to end @ 7,000rpm. Most results you've shown tend to show a drop that usually starts around 6500rpm - a power band of 2500rpm (4000-6500). If the sheet goes to 7500 (i think i saw one?), the drop was quite big (30-40rwkw IIRC). To date you've not really answered when questioned about it in 2-3 threads now, and I'm not the only one that keeps asking. I've not seen a 3071/3076 drop off that harsh ever.
  3. If you want 400rwkw, there are PLENTY of threads covering this. Simply read the dyno thread you'll soon see how much boost people run to make 380-400rwkw through -5s (which is around 20-24psi) Simply out "400rwkw" into the search, and go from there Or just read the Garrett "-5" thread - 10 pages long, or the "got 400rwkw" thread. Don't need another thread about this power range at present. Thanks.
  4. Just a standard GTR? (ie not VSPEC?) If so, indeed, 55k is quite a premium price tag... Seen similar examples sell here for 50k (or less)
  5. You name doesn't change how much of a homo you are
  6. lol... He better not look @ his CAS either... They have a Mitsu symbol on em as well. Hell some RB20 ones had a Hitachi one! ONOES!
  7. That is what I am doing. I have a form here and will bring with exact money on the day. Most of the other guys in the list are FA's, and will be doing the same.
  8. Well if you decide how much power you want, then the turbo choice will be refined to probably less than 6 Given you've said 2530's - i would say Garrett -5s, will make 380-400rwkw like everyone else. So many turbo threads these days that all you need to do is workout a power figure and pretty much put that into the search
  9. No you don't - you have a player ID/# - people can use that to add you also (but it doesnt give "full" add information)
  10. That is just a link to a search form
  11. Well... eg... 1000rpm extra power band for $1,000 - that would be a good bang for buck expenditure in my books Infact you probably couldn't get such a good value for the $ spent on any other part. (Disclaimer: The above is just a generalised statement, actual figures may vary and end user should investigate themselves)
  12. So why are you buying bigger oil pumps on a small collar now then? IMO thats a more important issue any anything else. Why not just do the smart thing and peg the power back a bit until you rebuild? Having the small snout - as i said earlier - makes you more likely to bust stuff regardless of the pump you decide to use. you could spent upwards of $1700 on a Tomei pump, for nothing! And it's the reason Nissan clearly changed the design within a matter of years!
  13. Probably because Nismo think it's the same as Euro stuff Sadly the software/part's doesnt cost anywhere near as much as the Bosch ECU gear (like in Audi/VW Gti's etc), so i cannot see how they are justifying a $1500 flash tune. I can understand the Euro stuff given the software & codes/license costs big $$... So doesnt neccesarily mean there is a lot of R&D within the tunes in my book.
  14. Because Mitsubishi make it - obviously. Moved to Skyline Spec, not a performance question.
  15. Power vs boost isn't everything.
  16. i never log out of half my stuff as i never turn off my PC
  17. Sounds like you have a stock bottom end, given you have the older oil drive etc. Which then would worry me why you'd try to run 370-400rwkw through that bottom end. Regardless of the oil pump, trying to push that much is going to end in tears regardless of what you do with the pump
  18. Problem is they really are not "that" much bigger/better. Certainly not for the price people want anyway. Putting better rotors/pads/fluid/lines onto the factory set-up would be significantly better than a 2nd hand set of Brembo's for around the same cost or less. Pretty certain you can get a 330 (or 325)mm rotor under the Sumi's - Roy has posted a few times about it. Just something to think over anyway
  19. I know - Hardly been home past 4-5 days (just had a bucks w/e on and stuff). I'll be around this week, 10pm or later as im working arvo, but ye should be on a couple nights at least
  20. Just chase the wires and rip it out
  21. IMO - Get ya dad to come along and get into some various cars - best way to workout what to do. Talk to the owners, see how they went about it and why. Hamish's car in terms of R33 - would be one of the more interesting. It's a bit more power than you guys are chasing (given E85), but it's basically the example of how far you can go without going "too" far (if there ever is such a thing?)
  22. Drive to your tuner, ask them what they feel best/comfy using Buy that.
  23. Not your situation - plenty of people have tried cam gears on the RB25 and realistically seen no major gains given the VCT and all the rest of it - you don't need them. Just because someone makes a product, doesn't mean it'll work with your application. BOV's are a excellent example as well.
  24. 350rwkw+, made by more than one car now.
