  1. How would it be counter productive? Isn't it all related to gas flow, so whether its a 2.5L or a 3L it will flow the same gas to make 300kw, only it will have better response?

  3. Can i improve this, like pull the graph back 1000rpm? I think thats what im asking, i want it all sooner , redline is like 7200rpm no boost contoller 335kw on 16psi, 345kw is boost conter on 17.5ish psi

Is strange position here, hmm, i have a stock turbo r33 also andni drove it last week and its do crap in comparison.. but i am really after some real early spool and pull into seat business at like 2500-3000rpm hence 0.63 rear and 3.7 thoughts.. if you guys lived near me be good to have opinion on what to do to obtain ultimate result.. im not complaining at all just after more i guess, i experienced a VL turbo manual that pulled hard from 1200rpm in second before that would wipe mine away easy so with that in mind ..
  6. My daily driving especially in traffic harly sees an opportunity to hit over 5k and when i hit the throttle in low gears it flys through from 2-3krpm so quick that it barely boosts.. ?? If i let it rip to 4k then yes it hauls but seems like it shouldnt be needed.. or do you think i should treat it like a high revving thing and let it rev?
  7. Just interested on what people beleive is the best setup for street response, im not talking top end but the best torque and part throttle at legal speed limits.. My setup so far is an RB30 neo with 260 poncams and GT3076 0.83 external 44mm on E85.. making 345kw on 16psi with 230kw at 4000rpm... My goal was real street fun without lag and not needing to smash the limiter.. Current performance is that she pulls hard from 3500rpm and open wheels hard... but id like to bring this down and don't mind taking from the top to give to the bottom/mid so thinking along the lines of a 0.63rear and 3.7 diff gears but not sure if will give the best results or cause problems.. i quite liked the stock VL turbo type torque delivery and want similar but obviously 300kw plus still.

  10. I used a secondhand power fc, is a good option on a budget build. If you have lots of $$ then go a haltech...
  11. Decided to do some heat management, the tial gate has changed from black into purple.. Also got some bungs put in the dump so i can later get a wideband and exhaust temp guage hooked up... I noticed there was no duty cycle dialled in for low end spool so i set it to 100% uptil 3k rpm and its alot better but there no traction from 3.5krpm, its badly needing a diff and setup to lay it down...
  12. I have a similar issue but only when cold, does your intake cam gear have any play like inward/outward.. My head was reconditioned with new springs, 260 cams etc so doesnt make sense to be anything else..
  13. Yeah i can push and pull on the gear, i dont mean rotate it.. And yeah the cam has some movement thats not turning the gear , like 5-10mm.. I'll have to take the gear off then, i just wanted to know if its normal.
  14. Just trying to source the cause of some knocking noise, seems to be comming from the VCT gear/ solnoid area. I checked the engine timing and all is good ( close as the marks can be 3025) but the intake cam gear itself has movement in and out . So i was checking the bolt for tightness and it seems to move the cam left or right a short amount independent of the gear.. Just need to if the above movement are normal and possibly supposed to move because of the VCT mechanism as i dont know how it physically works.
  15. Im considering a 3.7 ratio but also going a nismo GT pro 1.5way but what combo of parts from which other vehicles do i use to make this happen?
  16. Where do xspurt injectors sit amoungst the modified injectors? I have had the 1000's on both the Rb25 and now 3025neo and in both motors when cruising there a slight stutter/jerk happening, worse when engines cold. 2 tuners have played with it and point toward the injector size or the power fc being an old model. It would make sense if the atomisation was crap at light throttle, would E85 help the atomisation or cause more issue ?
  17. The afm has plenty left, seems to use alit of boost for those numbers cause my old gtx3076 did 280 on 16psi although was external gate and stock intake mani.
  18. Im enjoying driving the car but cant help but wonder if i can improve the response. I recorded a few pulls, i want to have it responsive as possible so maybe i need a diff change as well as cam timing play on dyno and boost controller working to get the most out of the setup.. This short clip was a 3rd gear pull from 2000rpm and it just doesnt get stuck in till 4000rpm..tge vid doesnt show but its pulling hard at 3600rpm.. Im thinking a 3.7 ratio may help...hmm
  19. Have been playing around in the last weeks with stuff like the intake cam gear and the tail section of the hks exhaust to see any difference in low down torque and sound of exhaust. Each time i change anything it seems to make the power fc react, idle goes all wacky. How does it know about such a small change such as that , eg 2degrees or a subtle change to exhaust? Does it adjust itself or does it need retune for a small change?
  20. The tuner had it a week for cold start and cruise adjustments and has improved alot, said it was running quite rich and needed new plugs. It seems to go jerky after a bit of a flogging and not so much when normal driven.. Ive been told its likely the power fc and the injectors being so big. Be interesting to put a haltech in but cant justify the coin.
