  1. lol haven't heard that noise for a while, maybe this could be the one? BTW any truth to the rumour you've downgraded from 32 to a 33?
  2. haha as well as her finely honed driving skills, I reckon the way the leaf puts the power down may have helped a little. We have shocks, springs, semis and a longer extension cord due before next texi
  3. someone called for a goon? Looks like that thread has already been sorted by a mod
  4. hey mate I'll try and get the old girl running before then, I'll let you know. this is a good little track to hoon around, and a nice cheap day.
  5. yep we can sort something out, I've sent you a pm
  6. You should still be able to get sufficient angle to get the gearbox on. You do have to rotate the gearbox while installing it to have the starter motor bulge miss the body.
  7. yeah I can help, send me a pm with where and when.
  8. Poor Pete. He's really headed downwards since he stopped racing the 32 GTR.
  9. nice work Eric, Anna and Dave....no wonder you guys want to organise these things
  10. thanks for putting the results together, I'm sure it was a heap of work. But can we have overall results, or just sorted by time?
  11. yeah the one I got for this says Skylines Australia <[email protected]>; on behalf of; Skylines Australia <[email protected]>
  12. lol. the audio from the camera on the roof picks up us talking/navigating around the course from outside. It's kind of a ninja car. but i want to see the timesheets before I write it off as a race car You said shaft.
  13. that works for me. In fact outlook rule keeps important stuff (sau mails) from junk (work mails)
  14. lol I've been racing for 10 years, and I'm pretty sure what you did was counted as a win. Well done, great driving. . And great to see an m35 doing skids too Theo, by the sounds of it you getting 2wd was a hell of a lot harder than me getting 2wd. 1 jack, 2 chassis stands, 4 bolts, bingo!
  15. Eric that was merciless cone killing, you should be ashamed
  16. Hi mate, you will end up with a lot betterand cheaper result by just selling your car and buying a manual. There are plenty of manual r33 gtst to choose from.
  17. I guess that failure is directly related to one or more big hits. I have never seen one break like that either. The most common failure I've seen other than bent arms is the inner mount for the arm ripping off (upper or lower), they are probably worth reinforcing.
  18. I took mine for skids, it went OK for a tow car including a quickest time on one course. All good infact, until Ryan beat me in the white stage battle run! Good driving mate
  19. Great work today by all the volunteers for a very smoothly run event. Entries and admin, scruitineering, course setup, bbq, course changes, time keeping, course changes, cleanup, and of course the huge bands of rubber collectors making sure we are welcome again next time. And of course the random, unexplained guy holding a large silver sunshade over people's heads in the morning, very handy. I had a very fun day, couldn't have had more different cars than the Leaf and Stagea, but they both ended up with very similar times.
  20. the traditional "wrap up" thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/422602-texi-30313-wrap-up-thread/#entry6799105
  21. just be carfeul mate, there are multiple pinouts based on your ECU within the C34 series 1. Check the V00 at the end of the ECU's part number, I am pretty sure this diagram (and the one in the japanese workshop manual that is floating around) only cover v00. The plug is physically the same as an R34 GTT, and I understand the C34 Series 2 might be an exact match for R34 GTT pinouts too (ie plug and play)
  22. I used these guys for the race car: http://metropolitandriveshafts.com.au/ Excellent driveshaft, no issues with years of use, expensive. Who supplied the carbon one that failed? Pretty poor to have the bonding fail (twice)
  23. I'm sure you are kidding, but its pretty f**king poor taste. Why not volunteer for the committee and help run the club http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/421957-2013-14-exec-nominations/#entry6789196
  24. that video is classic. can't help noticing it was a very soft bolt he was drilling in to. good to hear it worked for you, might give one a try next time, a broken easy out is the world's most annoying problem, and it only ever happens where you can't get to it easily.
