  1. sorry to hear that mate. sorry you bought a frontera I mean
  2. yeah it's funny how things change in 15 years, isn't it. You'd probably struggle to get $5k for it now....and yet some bloke in ACT thinks his 32 GTR is worth $75k
  3. what's a mag, old lady? I paid forty something for my r33 gtst back in the olden days.
  4. Just a quick note on Cruise Control installs. I've had an electric cruise control in the stagea for about 7 years now, and it has been excellent. However, when I changed to the forward facing plenum and moved the throttle I didn't bother hooking it back up again. Now I'm driving the stag to Canberra each week I decided I needed the cruise hooked up again, so I called the guy who installed it on the number from his old card. Surprisingly, I got the same bloke, Nigel, and he was happy to come out and fix it (nice and cheap too). So this is just a quick recommendation....if you are thinking about getting cruise control installed (or didn't know you even could), give Nigel at Cruise Control Specialists a bell. His number is zeo four 18 116 404. An electric cruise system will set you back $780 for dash mounted or $850 for stalk mounted like I have. Nigel was professional, courteous, tidy and careful with the install, and the repair he did for me was cheaper than estimated. Can't ask for more than that The control unit is the black box mounted neatly out of the way in the corner of the engine bay. Cable runs to the throttle body
  5. A long, but interesting read. Thanks Harry
  6. Is there a vacuum line from your plenum to your brake booster (the large circular piece that the brake master cylinder is bolted to?) Maybe a pic of the driver's side rear of the engine bay would help
  7. I had to research FML FML means Fix My Lighthouse. Back in the 17th Century, lighthouse keepers were tthe butt of everyone's jokes. When a lighthouse keeper was made fun of, his retort would be "why dont you fix my lighthouse!" which was shortened over time to FML. This term was made famous in the great battle of the Sole Bay in 1902 where 14 peolpe died and 1 person broke their glasses. "if you are going to take the piss out of me then why don't you FML!
  8. FML. I might buy another car to cheer up. I reckon a figaro would rock parked next to the superturbo.
  9. hey N.A.P. what is wrong with your lighthouse that it needs fixing?
  10. yeah that is a cool vid. amazing what people just do at home these days, when I was young you needed a video editing suite, and we had to walk to school in the snow every morning we had bread and butter sandwiches for lunch but we couldn't afford butter.
  11. But I guess he means the whole car's lines, not just the part to the hub. You should be able to buy a set from a gtst wreck
  12. lol that makes more sense....would have preferred to buy one locally. BTW weather wasn't very wet this morning you pussies.
  13. No, but it is more likely to throw an error code when then engine is running, and more specifically after driving for a few minutes (ABS and g sensor inputs won't work while stationary)
  14. Not in a stagea, but I have done it in my old r33, r32 race car, navara ute etc etc. In each case it has tightened up steering feel and no noticeable issue with harshness. I have no idea how it affects the collapse of the column in a big frontal impact.
  15. Farking! Where was it for sale. I could only find 3 in oz, (one in perth which isn't really oz). The one in Sydney was camry coloured and the one in SA looked a bit crap.
  16. yep, that is a farking hard park!
  17. actually, just counting....that is Nissan #8. The 6 car garage is too small. Anyone need to buy a cube? I really need to move it on now. Excellent around town, it has been hooning through roundabouts all week.
