seriously though....there are now 40 more to choose from? Are there any reserved or recommended useages like before? I guess my vertex cbs might be able to access them with programming

There was a serious accident on the F3 yesterday afternoon which involved one of our club members, Aaron (r34aaronw). Aaron was heading back home on the F3 near Somersby in bad weather when his car (and 2 others) were hit by a car on the wrong side of the road. Unfortunately the driver of the oncoming car died at the scene, Aaron and another driver were taken to hospital for treatment. The collision occurred about 1km south of the Peats Ridge Road on-ramp, Somersby, about 4.30pm yesterday (Monday 30 May). Early investigations suggest a silver Holden Commodore, being driven by a 52-year-old man, was travelling south when it crossed to the incorrect side of the road and collided with three other vehicles. The driver of the Commodore suffered fatal injures and died at the scene. The 38-year-old driver of a Nissan GTR suffered multiple fractures and he remains in hospital, while the 50-year-old driver of a Barina suffered a broken sternum and also remains in hospital. The third driver of a Ford was not injured. Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit on 8882 1458, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. There has been no suggestion that Aaron was anything other than unlucky in being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and it is a reminder of how dangerous road conditions can be - even for a competent driver in a good car. Damn good idea, even on a wet sump. My sump designer knew this, but the engine builder didn't.....and I ended up with a broken bolt running on the oil pump gears.

Just be aware a used slick will probably have less grip than a good semi slick....there is a reason the team isn't using them any more. good budget choice though.

yes that's right, it is neutral and reverse switches. reverse for reversing lights, and neutral is an input to the ECU for some reason. You should not have to remove the gearbox. put a jack under the rear of the gearkbox and undo the 4 cross member bolts. slowly let the jack down until the attessa line at the rear starts to get tight. that should give you enough clearance to get at everything. there is a short wire from each switch to a plug. the plugs go into the front body loom which includes starter motor and a few other things. should be easy enough to repair if the loom is damaged....depends where the wires broke.

I've never heard of those tyres, and I have used a lot of different tyres. They are not sold in Australia by Bridgestone according to their website. I guess if the car was just complied they are the usual cheapest, crappy tyres they could put on....if you have another $1k (maybe not after this I guess) you should consider putting some good tyres on the car, it will make heaps of difference, particularly in the wet. I'd recommend Federal 595SS or Falken FK452 which are both good cheap street tyres BTW those prices look reasonable for retail, although instead of the rear steering rack you could just buy a HICAS lock bar and the rack ends on the side that are damaged. That would be more like 200 than 400.

well at least you will get a wheel alignment as part of fixing this...if there was something wrong it will be ok now....just take it easy! and do some motorkhanas or driver training days.
