Who Uses A Rb26 As A Daily
nick_7g replied to dumpit's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Not sure - didn't dyno it prior to putting the Haltech etc in. Didn't have anything expect the front pipes and exhaust previously - it was boosting to 1.2bar by itself in 1st and 2nd and about 0.9bar in 3rd and 4th in cold weather. -

I did expect a reduction, but not a +40% reduction on stock turbos and not using all the injector. We'll see how it goes. Anyway, we don't drive GTRs for economy. -

I daily my 34 GTR. With front pipes and exhaust I was averaging 320-350kms in inner west traffic every weekday. With 275 tyres, that makes a difference too I think. Now with e85, haltech, 1000cc inj, pump, wideband I got 110kms to half a tank. With about 50% highway 50% thrash and traffic. Not real happy with that to be honest. I'll give it a couple of weeks to suss out what the average is. I may have underfilled the first tank of e85. -
Who To Take The Car For A Dyno Tune J.e.m Or Powertune
nick_7g replied to gtr0321994's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Agree. After the tech night I decided to go with JEM for some light work. The consultation and professionalism were top notch. Picked the car up tonight and its in great shape, running awesome. They went the extra mile in more than a few areas. They love cars and take pride in their work. 259kw @14psi with stock turbos, haltech, EBC, injectors, fuel pump, front pipes, cat and exhaust. Switched over to e85 too in preparation for a nice big single some time in the future (hope soon). Definitely need more power now! -

[Fs] Hankook Rs-3 (Z222) 275/35/19
nick_7g replied to flyz33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
On the tradwear, I understand that the RS3's were rated 140, but they were actually better than that, so they changed the rating to 200 . Nothing about the actual tyre changed. From Tirerack: During 2012, Hankook Tire changed the Uniform Tire Quality Grade (UTQG) Treadwear rating of their Ventus R-S3 Z222 Extreme Performance Summer tire. UTQG ratings for Treadwear, Traction and Temperature are based on tests conducted by tire manufacturers and reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). These regulations allow tire manufacturers to under-rate their tires’ capabilities, but prohibit over-rating them. UTQG ratings are required to be branded on tire sidewalls and printed on their labels. When the Ventus R-S3 Z222 was introduced in spring of 2009, Hankook assigned the 140 Treadwear rating to match the UTQG Treadwear rating required by existing competition rules. However subsequent Hankook wear data revealed the tire line provided equivalent wear to its predecessor (Ventus R-S2) and earned the same 200 Treadwear rating. This has also been supported by Tire Rack survey results and customer feedback that indicate Ventus R-S3 Z222 tires provide equivalent wear to other tires already featuring similar UTQG Treadwear ratings. With some competition rules now requiring higher UTQG Treadwear ratings, Hankook decided it was time to officially change the Ventus R-S3 Z222 line’s rating to accurately reflect its capabilities. Since 140- and 200-Treadwear rated tires are available*, both currently appear on NHTSA’s safercar.gov website for the Ventus R-S3 Z222 line. No changes were made to tire compound or construction, so all Ventus R-S3 Z222 tire sizes continue to use the same by-size Hankook S-Code (part number). Both 140- and 200-Treadwear-rated tires are compatible with each other when put into service as singles, pairs or in combination. -
Awesome car mate! Seems well cared for.

Would these rub on R34 GTR guards? I've got 275/30's on my 19x10.5 +12s and they rub on full lock. -
Nice wheels mate. They are very very nice. Super rare.
