  1. ease up geezers...nothing wrong with asking a question or putting forward an idea outside of the box, even if theory is flawed.
  2. all props to them, Fulcrum Stafford did a VERY thorough wheel alignment for me, would recommend.
  3. don't be afraid of the massive amount of grip from these, you will still be able to drift ...
  4. let's talk serious on the emanage blue...not the most cutting-edge pice of kit, but how much you really chasing for it and the r33 plugin harness?
  5. they're big in the celica/GT4 circles....never been there but called up a few times about their services and parts in the days when my GT4 was still getting attention....the calls were enough for me to say no thanks......just my 2c.
  6. i concur. $$ ready for a pair of these bad boys but i don't book so ready to send a signed blank cheque GKTech's way as soon as needed.... but seriously i have money.
  7. intercooler is not that heavy, postage is around $18-22 for this with Auspost...not sure about e.go?
  8. Located on Brisbane northside - 4 xToyo Proxes 234/45/17, approx 40-50% tread left. 2 tyres have alot of inside camber wear right on edge, but rest of tyre is fine, and other 2 have mild inner camber wear but still good. The worn 2 would not meet RWC but still plenty of rubber left for track work. Pickup or delivery available, located in Northgate here. Closeup photo shows the worst-worn tyre, rest are better. $100 the lot

  10. selling a few things due to upgrades....all in great condition otherwise wouldn't put them up for sale. All items in brisbane but happy to post anywhere at buyers cost. R33 gtst engine mounts off '96 model; they are the round mount as shown. Only replaced as I bought nismo engine mounts to try and reduce lag from auto transmission, they have no cracking or damage. $40 the pair R33 throttle position sensor off series 2 model. Extremely stable voltage readings still, had replaced while trying to track down poor idle, TPS was not the cause though. $40 for this R34 side mount intercooler. General marks and bumps from normal usage on car but none major and in better cond than alot of others I have seen; has previously been pressure-tested and no holes or leaks. $70 for this
  11. Had them on my commodore, theyre shit
  12. Yeah r34 looks similar, but not same, as that one in first post. I want same lol.. I concur with you, if that's not an r33 interior then i'll eat a hamster, hence my OP about what r33 they came on, from shaft size looks like it should it should just slide right on...to my shaft...
  13. Google image is next to useless for this. Carsales FTW here, if one searches for r34 auto one finds many interior pics, with the shifter knobs not looking like that, the shaft is much thinner, in all but 2 i saw, one being the gt4 and another an n/a. Didn't seem to be consistent in those models tho
  14. Thought r34 was tiptronic shifter? R34 ones i have seen didn't look like that but might have been later models maybe
  15. this looks better than the T-bar thing I've got on my R33. Have seen a few from time to time on auto R33's, but don't know if there's a spec for it, or what particular model they came out on...
  16. thank you for your feedback above, I couldn't agree more. Car now sold though sorry.
  17. had a flat battery in the work car today, boss said just get a new one. Pretty sure it'd still be alright with a decent overnight charge done, work car only just does heaps of very short drives, battery wouldn't be more than 18 months old. Is Panasonic brand. Its 23cm wide, 17cm deep, 19.5cm high(22cm total height to terminal top). Pick up from Vernon Tce Teneriffe, Brisbane if you want it, needs to go asap cause it's just taking up space. Txt me on 0408 333 001 to arrange.

  19. thread revival...after buying one of the JJR engine dampers - they're cheap, I was curious - and getting it and pulling it apart, I can't see how it wouldn't do anything. I thought they were a shock absorber type thing but it's actually a couple of rubber mounts inside, so would stop any rocking of the engine but still cushioning so it's not vibrating against solid metal. The "harbour-bridge" bracket is reasonably thick metal, and mounts to both the strut tower top, and 2 points on side as well. Seems fairly solid now installed. Only just did it and yet to do any real driving on it, but from the construction of it, would seem it does what it says it's supposed to do, stop the engine moving around.
  20. looks nice mate, and good to see such a unique project, something a bit different done up. Good luck with it.
  21. My mum just bought a new car, so her Celica is up for sale. It is in top-notch condition, she bought it as a new car from Toyota and it's been serviced by them ever since. Points of difference for this one over other examples you'll find for sale - LOW k's - not even hit 100,000 k's yet. - Immaculate inside and out, as the photos will show. - Service history with Toyota and no expense spared on repairs and upkeep. - New tyres just fitted, and RWC provided. - Just been serviced for sale, no maintenance needed. - HEAPS of rego left, full 6 months to go. Lots of little extras like factory alloys with locknuts, floor mats and seat covers, headlight protectors, bluetooth device, factory immobiliser/aircon/power steering. Red exterior, black/grey interior, 5 speed manual, 2.2 litre 5SFE engine. Looking for $5300 - open to offers but nothing ridiculous, this is an excellent car that's been maintained and cared for and will last for years to come. I'm in Brisbane but car is located in Croydon, Vic, give me a call or txt on 0408 333 001 for any questions and to arrange an inspection or test drive.
  22. so I came up with the rocket-scientist idea of putting some solid rubber reinforcement in the gap that the stock gearbox mounts have, to stiffen it up a bit. I know what you're thinking, great idea dude, and it should have an effect between farrrk-all>>something at least.....while out of the car I noticed that my current gearbox mount does have some cracking and perishing of the rubber though. So started looking around for a new mount; seems there's a part number difference between the R33 GTST auto and manual transmission mounts though....even though they look identical in what pics I could find, so guessing maybe a measurement difference somewhere. Would prefer to fit a Nismo mount, but only seems to come in a manual application, not auto. Here's where I appeal to the community. Anyone have a manual transmission mount they want to compare vital measurements with? From what I can see, need to measure distance between mount>transmission mounting bolt holes, mount>crossmember stud holes, and width of gap that crossmember sits inside the mount. It'll make more sense with some pics; I'll post some up....
  23. I just got the Pilot sport 3's in a 235/45/17 yesterday....pouring rain so far so only tried in wet, but wow, makes the Toyo Proxes 4's seem like a deathtrap now. Very good grip in wet, will see how dry traction goes, but are super quiet too by comparison.
  24. oh ok, what's involved there? Just put superpro front diff bushes in, slight difference nothing major, but then they were pretty cheap too. Loud diff whine now lol
  25. Ditch the efi setup too, nothing looks more tuff than a carby setup with chromed air filter
