  1. The restrictor did not kill it, theres a blockage somewhere
  2. Thats too sus, there has been something missed dude.
  3. WHAT???????? really? break cams or just damage journals? thats crazy, was the restrictor smashed in when it got hammered down? Did the cams caps get tensioned? And what tension was it?
  4. Contact CBC, they will have a kit to suit
  5. Yeah, not interested in driving 4 hours for more experiments lol. We'll just say it feels alot better. And wayyyyyyyy smoother
  6. Not too thick. With the hydraulic lifters, once cars been running for 5, shut it off and next day it'll be silent they self bleed over a day
  7. Does your coppermix fade at all Ash? I got a single plate one, wondering how it'll like launching with drag radials and 330kw..
  8. Definately shaft. Stock has zero vibes. Havent done anything for a couple of months but its coming back this week hopefully with results. We have gone to a slightly lighter tube, kept the 1350 uni at box, and middle and diff are 1310's i think. Will post results. I hope lol.
  9. Well the hel kit doesnt totally seal of the cooler, its an open bypass, so oil will still very slowly run in cooler, when thermostat gets to 70 degrees, it seals bypass off making all oil pass through the cooler... And when I say it ran very cold around the 50 mark, but thats in winter here at -5 to 5 degrees at night.. This winter will tell if theres a big change...
  10. After comparing charts, my old printout had a peak of 338kw at 6k, where now it peaks at 7400 326kw, at 6k I only have 285kw. The tractive effort has gone from 8000n to under 7000n. Still to take into account temps were way hotter, and humid, and running cat. It feels very seamless power wise and feels to pull harder, is it possible to have gained torque even though tractive efforts gone down? Dyno seems to say less, but I feel more..
  11. It does keep very hot now its got water back to exchanger. was always cold without exchanger. I run 7.5L of oil but no fins etc. Thermostat seems to work, plus its only new
  12. Nope, HEL cooler with thermostat
  13. dyno says losses in midrange. But air temp may play a large part. 20 degrees vs 35.... Its moved the power 200 revs up the range, but its got such a nice power curve now, was like a 2 stroke lol, and feels so smooth now and also makes a massive amount of intake noise when its coming on boost just under 5k. And I just realised 1 more factor, Im running a 100cell cat, whereas wasnt with last one, so taking all into account, maybe midrange is better now? Plus there was a fair amount of wheelspin on dyno this time. got new p-zero's and they are like jelly.
  14. Back a bit I was talking about how not running heat exchanger left me with super cool oil- like winter at 100km/h i was getting to 50 degrees, and summer flat out getting to 70 in heavy traffic. I now have exchanger hooked up and with 35-40 degree weather, water sits on 78-85 and oil is always very close, down to 70-75 on freeway. Im hoping this wont give me the shits on the track if oil gets too hot. Just FYI
  15. Na, dyno dynamics, tractive effort is about 7000nm if thats any help, didnt get a printout last tune so got no idea what it was...
  16. Results! From stock manifold to plazmaman with exact boost, went from 260kw to 270, and was last done in winter on a 20 degree day and new one 35+ and very humid. Thats at 16psi, when we went to high boost (23psi) there was not a great power gain but the power curve held hard to 7400, whereas peak prior was at 6000,, not quite back to back but a good guide.
  17. also places like lewis engines do short blocks for pretty good prices...
  18. Add 200+ for blueprinting on top of machining/polishing
  19. Be sure to video it and put it up here
  20. Do you have any idea how much the max fine is for a screamer in NSW? If you did you wouldn't risk it!
  21. I originally made 260rwkw with the auto on a cooler with sizes 600 long, 130 high and 65 thick. You'll have no problems the return flows are near triple the size... I was getting intake temps up to 70 degrees though.
  22. I run for denso plugs, 65 bucks a set, platinum I think they are. Is in a 25 though. AGSP22YE09. Suit ba/bf xr6/t. My tuner loves them, and that price, not bad!
  23. Standard guage on my r33 gtst is rubbish. I removed sensor and use a autometer one with 32psi pro-lite. Standard one seemed to be up normal in daytime but with lights on it read almost nothing...
