  1. So for the wishlist im looking at cams, gears and either the HTA or stao's alpha?
  2. Yes, just something I haven't done, im happy with it all how it is, my excellent fuel economy, peak power at over 7000, nice idle etc etc
  3. And how about the off boost effort of these mentioned turbo's in regards to say being in 5th at 3k doing 110-120 and flooring it? the t04z makes about 4-5 pound at 3k and 100kw, but 2000 revs later its well over 300kw.. what do these all make by 3k power and boost wise?
  4. Elaborate please? CHRA? Well bottom end, balanced and blue printed crank, eagle rods, cp pistons, oil pump and all the irrelevant to topic stuff, head is lightly ported and polished, manifolds matched, plasmaman inlet, big fmic, custom exh manifold, 3 inch exhaust, 555 nismo injectors and 4 inch turbo intake.. I think thats what matters here?
  5. How's the alpha turbo go for response stao?
  6. Thanks for the input, how are the hta for reliability? Im not going to head for mid 400's, maybe 400 absolute tops. Im pretty sure its just a t4 discopotato03 And whats more preferable in regards to HTA and precision? And is the difference going to be where I notice a huge difference?
  7. Hi all, I know there is plenty of info on the outputs of specific turbos and combos of all sorts on here, and about every upgrade imaginable, but I have a slightly different question, I have a garrett t04z on my 25 thats been going well for many years, im making 360rwkw on 98 vortex with about 450cc/min of water meth, all this on stock cams too. I know the t04z is a very old designed and somewhat laggy turbo, and on my setup its making 22psi at 5000 revs, with a 1.05 exhaust housing. My questions are, should I look at a new turbo? Something like a gtx3076r for my power levels? Im quite happy with 360kw and not very interested in much more. I can still almost double the meth im running for more power, plus cams would get more again, I see the 3076 making mid 300's easily but I want the room for 400kw, mainly for if I ever go e85. Or is my most economical option putting a .83 rear on and keeping my current turbo? Is it going to make it come on at 4k? Is there an option that will make 400kw and come on by under 4? I really dont mind the lag that much, but feel I could be doing better easier. And finally fitment, will any of my options fit straight on where the t04z sits, in regards to the manifold, v-band 3 inch dump, and 4 inch inlet? I realise things will need modifying, just need to know what im in for. Just looking for options, as I may do something in the near future if I see it being worth it, and what others recommend. Hoping iv given all the info required. Thanks
  8. Probably not that often I guess
  9. 9k isn't that high revving really. My tuner used to tune a 26 that had an 11,000 limiter, however that was on a t62r i think, and made lots of power... and coming on full song by 6500 gives you a 4500 rpm band...
  10. Mine are on 98 caltex and 360kw and not topping out. Should get over 400 with them easy 555 nismo's that is
  11. What are you calling lower than it should have been? On a cold night, my (rb25) will sit on 75 ish or when its like zero on highway, its just over 70-73. Oil goes down to under 50 sometimes.
  12. So Iv discovered they use a crush sleeve, should I just swap flanges, and tension back to where the bearings are as they are now?
  13. Hi all, I have put a 4.11 diff in my r33 and the pinion flange spigot is 0.05mm larger than the 4.36 diff. No idea why. It vibrates though. What I need to know is can I simply swap the pinion flanges over between diffs or is there a crush ring or the like used? and then does the preload on bearings need reseting? Anyone who knows? thanks guys.
  14. e boost street does a good job too
  15. Mine had an aac valve adapter and I plumbed the fast idle/regulator in with the aac intake tube. so I only had 1 input for both units
  16. If your worried about the chamber damage, get it crack tested. Out of curiosity, what happened to do this?
  17. Yeah but it goes a hell of a long way to help avoid them and get them cleared
  18. Why dont you get it engineered? IM240 should be easy on e85.. Then stop worrying about it
  19. 22 psi, barely falls over any more than half a pound at 7700. Im running e-boost and pressure to both sides of gate respectively
  20. I have 480hp on 3 inch, with cat, plumbed in gate, and with a 7 pound spring. Greddy gate holds very well though
  21. Why the hate for radials? Iv been trying to work out what tires to get for my stock rears for drag, and was considering M/T's or Hoosier radials? Why do you suggest slicks (assuming racing) for drags?
  22. It is odd that its sits on 75 all the time..... On the dyno wont matter so long as you get the temps up even if by regulating the distance the dyno fan sits..
