  2. I am keen if I get my act together that is only down the road!!! Are we going Gateway then??? I will contact GTR Cam and see if he wants to do the same also!!!
  3. I am there, should have replied earlier sorry!!!
  4. Yes they do I had them on mine...
  5. I'm in no shirt until I see the end product (not a huge fan of polo's sorry)
  6. Hmm this is skating on thin ice... Well to answer the aged old question, yes my missus can handle the power...how do I know...she owned the line before I bought it off her...so there you go... And she drives it alot of the time too...and as a chick once said to me there is only one thing hotter than a bloke driving a line and that is a chick driving a line...someone say threesome!!!
  7. Welcome, Hope you find what you are after and going at it sensibly... To be honest its rare for someone under 18 realising how much it costs to run and own a turbo compared with the cool factor with you ex high school mates. Thumbs up!!!
  8. Agree with this one, they painted my mates pulsar that one best paint at Jambo...good workmanship and no bull (please ignore pedders pun cause I think they are shit...) Oh and G&J Smash at Kedron are good also, have a had a few mates cars go there... But you have to remember that 90% of panel beaters these days are the dumbshits that use to get stoned at school...go figure
  9. Welcome... Seems to be alot of newbies...the more the merrier!!!
  10. And becuase of that I have only driven it twice... Ok my mods, well after that huge list of others mine seems pale in comparison... I bought my 96 Ser II off my girlfriend, yes you read that correctly about 6 months ago...all it had was a 5Zigen exhaust cat back...with s15 mags... Since then, Malpassi Rising Rate Reg Front Strut Brace (old one was removed by prev owner...rear remained) Pod Filter (CAI yet to come...) Repainted front bar...hit a ditch on a farm... GFB Stealth BOV 18 Inch wheels that some GTR owner wants but unfortunately wrong offset so won't fit over the Brembo's... Painted Calipers Red for some rice (and did it myself Joey...) Rewired the Turbo timer and Viper alarm... Have sitting in the lounge room... Heavy Duty Daiken Clutch Set of Iridium Plugs to go in when I pull the intake off to polish the cam covers... Next on the list is... Full exhaust turbo back leave standard dump as not changing turbo Boost Controller after FMIC Springs and Shocks Not going overboard as yet, I have spent WAY to much money on cars in the past and now with a mortgage its a little hard...
  11. Is it the Warren from the Virgin ads... :blah:
  12. Ok I had to add this one, Girlfriend picked me up in the line from the station the other night... Mr Joe Cokhead in his new M3 at the lights we take off slowly so he stabs it and reaches that rattly M3 exhaust note that seems so common yet reminds me of a $50 tip on an excel, so what happens next... Girlfriend punches first bangs second...seeeya... Next lights pull up on the other side of him...windows down both cars, girlfriend leans over me and says "Should let your wife drive, she couldn't do any worse..." I am really starting to hate M3's I like the look but the fart in a tin can sounding exhaust makes me wonder how well manufactured the rest of the car is...
  13. There is also a few out Albany creek way, A green(dark) series 1 with 18's front mount and boost guage and loudish exhaust (well compared to my silenced one due to the missus...) Oh and followed a black series 1 into town, personalised plates but forgot them now...chick driving...
  14. OK lets clear the mud... Geebung Drift King was started by Richard and Danny, Richard and Danny has a falling out so Danny started Aspley Drift King Performance, which has subsequently changed its name to Aspley Drift and Drag after Geebung Drift King sponsored Jambo... AD&D is STILL exactly the same a Drift King Aspley, and Danny who's girlfriend drive's the pink silvia is still there. 04FAT, (Can't remember his name) gets alot of work done at AD&D. There still seems some rivalry between the two workshops, however I would call it friendly competition...but to be honest I would not get work doen by either place... The photos seem not to be woprking anymore...whats doing???? :boobies2:
  15. Take it to a shop that installs them, it sounds like something with the alarm module, I had a similar problem with the turbo timer messing with the system (yes I have a Viper too)
  16. Why you so hard on pulsar's man... Yes some of them are rice and yes I used to own one, but I woul dnot try and run a skyline, except one...the one I now own...the fortunate thing abou that skyline, it used to be owned by the girlfriend, now I have the car and a hot missus... Oh and I like it when riced up laners seem to think they are all evo's until you decide to plant it, snap second with the BOV right in the ear and scoot by no worries... On the topic of smoking, the biggest claim n15 pulsar sss, s15 200 runing stock boost...point 1 to the pulsar. Skyline, mates XR6 turbo, stock (remember the skyline only has a cat back) see ya, point to skyline...admitedly he has 3 people int he car and I only had 2...but still...he got owned DISCLAIMER: All this happened on the expansive private road I have in my backyard.
  17. I have heard that the Castrol R is reasonable and a big improvement on previous oils. As for the flush, it should be done every so often, you can usually tell when you need to do a flush. If you change your oil and filter after letting it almost completely drain (there will obviously be some remnants in the oil system) and you put in new oil and less than 100kms and you pull the dipstick and its dirty...then you need to flush. I have also found Castrol oils to be crap especially in relation to turbo engines...maybe its the running through the turbo that breaks them down, but on NA cars I have never had a problem. I now run Motul 4100 turbolight and previously ALWAYS ran Mobil 1, but still needed to flush the system twice after 15,000. I think I must have just got a bad batch of mobil 1...but I will now stick to the motul, always used it in my bikes so I have a basis to go by, and after 2,000km it is still nice and clean...
  18. For your wheels take them off and use regular car cleaner if they are Silver coated (unsure from the pics) if they have a machined lip then use a metal polish liek Brasso or Autosol, I have also found that the Amway metal cleaner works wonders as well. Also when you initially clean them, as I have done for many cars incl winner best paint for Jambo is take them off and wash them with HOT water and Morning fresh!!!
  19. Ring Jack Beedhams at Redlciffe I am sure they stock magnaflow!!!
  20. Ok I have tried Chapman and Chapman and Charlies and have had good reports. As for a local mechanic then I don't go past Peninsula Mechanical Repair at Redcliffe. Ask for Simon, he is reasonably priced and a damn good mechanic. Just mention Neill sent you and he will look after you... Cheers Neill
  21. There are ways to tell if it wound back as you need to use certain implements and often break teeth on the odometre wheels...that is all I know... At the end of the day there are a couple of similar cars for sale NOW in Japan with similar kays, as informed by my a close family friend...so unless you ACTUALLY know something pull ya head in... Free Bump...Oh and for the record we imported a line for a friend with slightly more than 23,000kays a lat 94 so you NEVER know...
  22. Jap Import Spares are good people to deal with I have got a few things from them, very reliable and good with deliviveries !!!!
  23. There is much discussion relating to these pads incl Bendix, RB74's, Green Stuff etc...will have to find the link but I am sure someone will beat me to it...(Looks for the any key...)
  24. I have a similar kit and got it from Bunnings, and yes it is alot of work. i previously polished my SR20 rocker cover myself and came up better than quite a few people who have had is "professionally polished" Honestly it is ALOT of hard work but if you have a free weekend, a carton and a few mates its fine, just get them polishing something...no gay puns thanks... So after using 1200 or any finer wet and dry sand paper, yes use it wet and clean it off with Wax and grease remover, then use the kit, buffing wheel first then polishing wheel, I then followed up with some autosol and some good ol elbow grease...
  25. I am using iridiums at the moment, only cause I am a fan and have used them on various cars with good performance and at $35 for a set who could argue (yes they are NGK and no I am not telling where I got them) I only use platinums in N/A cars because the less strain on the plugs ie heat and boost etc. If you can change your plugs regular use Copper they conduct better, if you ever speak to a sparkie do they use platinum in wires???
