Ummm NO.... They can become hard due to going through heat cycles and sitting dormant but that usually takes longer than 8 months...I would be investing in some new tyres though... Other things to consider are plugs replacement, and oil/engine flush BEFORE putting in new oil, and a good coolant flush, ie through the heater hoses etc...

- The boot is too small even for my gold clubs - Stock tyre size, well everyone changes that so irrelevant - I got LSD so happy about that - Series 2 interior and ext is alot better IMHO...but could do with a decent head unit, but hey everyone replaces that too... - I have no real bothers other than the occassional bit of rust the creeps in places that is shouldn't...they are a well manufactured car and will test the times far better, with more power and with greater style than ANY Australian built car especially in those days...

Quite easily, the drive shafts have been strengthened and it only goes hard in a STRAIGHT line, most wear on diffs occurs when turning and drifting and especially when combining both by doing donuts...on private roads to be cool to ya mates...

Most dumps from like CES come with a gasket, and I would recommend using that or having your local exhaust shop install a gasket... Gasket glue is CRAP, should be used on Micra's and excels only and the fact is it is not designed for high temps from the exhaust...

I got my car (well actually my girlfriend originally did) Its still one of the best I have seen mechanically and body and interior wise, it almost like new...but then again she did look around for 8 months nearly 2 years ago before imports really took off... There are only a couple of places i would not go to, one is along the going past the Gabba and the other is in bowen hills, you know the places I am not here to name names...

Slave cylinder hey, I will have to check that again cause it has been recently replaced... Its driving me nuts I will investigate more on Sat when I can get it up on a hoist...and I tried drowning it in WD40 to no avail, also where is this spring... And definitely the outside of the car, had the girl push the clutch when I had it on ramps...

People, Need some help as this noise is driving me insane... I have a standard clutch done a little bit now... The problem is that the pressing the pedal previously would reveal a squak only intermittently. Now it has progressed to quiet a number of times on an outing, both pressing and realeasing the pedal... I used some silicone lubcricant (ska don't get any funny ideas) on the lever on the side of the gearbox. This stuff is what I used on my motorbike chain and is a VERY good lubricant, yet the problem still persists. Any help would be appreaciated!!! Thanks Neill

Was a good night, after getting to Broady my big day caught up with me so myself and GTR Cam went for coffee, saw quite a few lines drive past... Was an awesome night, with the only exception being nitwits who changed in the far left lane in their excels...and caused everyone to jump on the stoppers.. Was also good to see someone else with the same wheels as me!!!! Almost forgot, thanks to the Organisers it was a well organised and behaved cruise and I thoroughly enjoyed it...coming from a long time cruiser!!! Oh and I think we need a day one soon so I can take better video footage as most of it turned out too dark....

Yeah agree with that...it used to be heaps slow maybe he spent some money on the go instead of the show... I know a pulsar that used to beat it, when it had a "boost leak"
