yeah its an S14 conversion done in japan of all places... its done by a company that specialises in LA Style tuning, which is... surprise surprise, a style gaining popularity in japan, imitating the americans.

See the yanks only get S14's and S13's as 240sx's and to own a Skyline is a very very expensive hobby, so they convert the front and back to look like a R34. In Japan and Australia its a bit stupid really considering you can buy an R34 GTt for much cheaper than an S14 with that abomination of a kit.

but the s14 is a totally diffrent style to the skylines i believe.

skylines are a tough look and s14s are sexy on wheels like u always hear.

combination of toughness and sexiness...... in my opinion anyway.

god dats a fine car.

agreed skylines are tough and silvias are sleek. Combine them though and you get "arse", especially if you see it from the back, there's heaps more photos of that car floating around. It looks so fake.

Love the front, hate the rear. What would be awesome would be to get the 180sx (so it's a hatchback), get the R34 front on it with the S15 rear conversion. Now THAT would cause some confusion!!!

EDIT: I've been thinking about that ^^^^ for about 5 minutes now, and I have decided I have to do it!!!! I HAVE to do it!!!! No choice!!!! R34/S13/S15 hybrid would be boss!!!

EDIT#2: Get those brakes too, making it an R34, S13, S15, 996 hybrid!!!

That car looks so sexy from the back...R34 lights with the low down back of the S15 *droooools. It was in a recent car mag, I saw it a few weeks ago.

The black part of the bonnet, IS the bonnet. It looks rather cool when open B)

EDIT: Sorry, I have a slow loading connection, I am just getting the pics through :P

I have that issue of HPI, I kind of liked it and kind of hated it also. I think the areas that I liked about it were due to the R34 looking bits (like the front and rear) where as from the side I thought it looked like baby poo. I reckon if they simplified the sides a little it would've looked better.

    • So for the wide band is a Bosch 4.9 correct for the Link G4+ along with a Can bus? Just get the Link gear or is generic ok too? Eg here: LINK LINK DIGITAL WIDEBAND CAN MODULE WITH BOSCH 4.9 SENSOR : KYP Performance House
    • Bit difficult to follow. Have a look below and see what the standard R32 layout was like. Note there was a restrictor in place immediately before "turbocharged pressure control solenoid" that, if removed, magically got you 1 bar boost.
    • I might be way off the mark here.. there must be a T junction under the manifold. That takes manifold pressure through a check valve prior to the T, one side splits out to this bleed off orifice, the other straight to the wastegate actuators.
    • Carrying out some engine due diligence before my first drive in a 260RS that has been in storage for 10+ years, and found two lines that are susposed to be plumbed into the boost control solenoid. One of the lines (the wastegate boost supply line) to actuate the gates, had a bolt in one end blocking it. The other line (main boost signal line) from the very rear of the intake manifold (RB26DETT) and runs up to the boost controller had this pill in the end of it as seen in photos. Other than the obvious (T28 Ceramic turbos might well be cooked)  Can anyone shed any light on if there is any validity at all with this mod, bleeding a constant fixed rate of manifold boost pressure off through this 3mm hole?  Is it deliberate?  Was this a 90s Jap mod done to RB26's? Or has someone just fitted this without any idea of what happens to ceramic T28s if they are not gate controlled?
