hay funky I can't get onto SDU as I have a hotmail address , Blade (tim) maybe you can get on and talk to these guys on SDU and then post it back up here for people who want to jump on this band wagon , there is a place over in Perth I have been told that makes this kit for around $135 , called Evolution R , in Bentley . I could not find them thou.

Perth guys did the group buy thru Evo R. Perhaps they might be willing to do a batch of R32 ones if we can muster up the numbers.

The SDU boys ordered thru Auto Illusions which turned to shambles, they never ended up gettin em, and some people are still in the process of getting reimbursements.

If you need R33 indiglo or reverse indiglo products, then contact the Perth SAU reps for the group buy details and see if you guys can order a few thru em.

If you are interested n R32 ones, then myself included will be more than glad to try n organise some. However due to lack of numbers we'll need to get the SDU boys in on this one too so we can fulfill the minimum orders etc.

speak to jameszilla he has the contact details of the place at autosalon who approached us and wanted to do group buys and stuff. insant got his el kit from there. they do all kinds of cool kits and most likely an idigllo or what ever it is at a good price cos its a group buy, ask james for the details

Just got in touch with Peaks in Japan and can organise R32 Type M Instument clusters from them for $200. Quality japanese made EL Clusters for R32 RB20DET FR models. Shipping should be about $30 couriered to your house.

What about these dudes -- they seem to have dials for a lot of models including the all important R32 (GT-R) :) -- although their dials are a little plainer than some of the flashier ones posted in this thread.

cyberstork don't do EL they do semi translucent white. I've already broght about 5 down from japan. they sell for 2980 something yen before tax, which is about 40 bucks

Dammit. These were the peeps doing the dials for SDU:

Unfortunately my japanese skills are lacking so I haven't been able to dig up any others on ebay *sigh*. Would have thought there was some demand for these in Japan...?

LW.

not really, there's peaks who do the Jap EL's for R32's look horn as IMHO nice n clean too.

Japs are more into 320km/h speedo's than el's, however this whole fnf phase sweeping thru japan might change that.

as for autoillusions, I've spoken to the pres of the 300zx club n he's told me to stay away from em. the ones he made for em had smudged numbers, and some el's had bad lamination etc. another batch was made up using the money from another group buy from some other club, became a whole big fiasco and ended up resulting in nothing. SDU got caught up in this as well and they're still tryin to get their money refunded, some of em.

Yeah, the Peaks one's look great, but useless if they don't do GT-R gauges :D As I said over at SDU, I came across these guys who seem to be big in this business: http://www.nrauto.com

I have sent them an email, so I will await their reply.

    • Mixing things up - installed some leather recaros to match the leather seat covered rear seats. Interior looks pretty schmick now except for some slight wear on the steering wheel which I will monitor and address if it becomes worse or actually noticeable!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
