HAHAHA i drove my R33 GTS-T to school for the first day today. Im in yr 12, and i pulled up out the front, my whole year was like WTF LOL, and ne way when i decied to skip the last 2 periods (it was liek 38 degrees) a fellow student in a late 80's FORD Falcon sedan, yelled out RICE BURNER! HAHAHAH

I question, my mate has a Twin Turbo Supra a 86model, 2 lt, and i suspect the boost is wound right up say 1 bar, and it has a Factory blow of valve. This mate is a mechanic and assures me mine has one too, however when he backs off or shifts i her a shhhhhhh, like a blow of not, a heeps loud one, and it will even do it slightly at like 3-4 RPM.

Mines nothing like this :)

Standard exhaust, on my line, standard air boc.

He's got a 3" right through and a pod?

Would this be the differece.

Thanks Michael

my whole year was like WTF LOL

haha kids these days speaking in TLA IRL (:P).

I remember when me and my mates used to rock up to school in cressidas, corollas, falcons and shit, and they were cool simply for the fact that you and 4 mates didn't have to catch the school bus.

As for your BOV issues, yes a pod will make it louder, alternatively an aftermarket BOV instead of the factory plumb back unit will also help you be fully sik and hektik.

When i was in grade 12 my car was only 2 years old.... LOL

And at this time way out of my budget....

In 6 years you will have an r34 GTR and you will look back and say what a piece of crap (in comparison) LOL

I drove a 1300cc torana to school... Did little tyre squeels in reverse at redline and dump (4000rpm.,... LOL) What a heap of sh$t

When I was in Year 12 ( almost 10 years ago) i used to rock up in a mid 80's Toyota Crown Royal Saloon (coomplete with factory fridge). No one cared what car you owned, fact was you had a car the rest of the "peasents" were on the bus.

Back in the day of year 12, the coolest guy in the grade well so called coolest, had the Nissan EXA with the doof doof system.

We all drove our shitters, and I had my camry with my doof doof system. Its pretty much the factor of who had the loudest sound system!!!

The year after finishing, I bought my line... The guy who had the exa bought himself an impala

I was trying to do the maths on this..... and it wasn't adding up..

I was trying to figure if you'd "stayed back a year" or started school late...

Then I realised you live in NSW and can get a licence at 17. :)

as if there's not already enough peer pressure with just having to wear the 'in' clothes, the 'in' shoes, (and accessories) the 'in' hairdo, the 'in' deodorant and having the coolest contact on your books and the most fully sik calculator-cum-pda/phone/mp3 player, you have to drive the right car as well? :)

Are you sure the guy said "rice burner"?

If you yell "NICE CAR" it sounds very similar B)

dammit where'd the rest of the thread go?!??

:) I cleaned a couple of uncalled for 'nasty' posts out of here last night, but I didn't leave the thread "empty" like it is now!

Back in '88 when I was finishing VCE I was the only kid with a licence (I was half a year older then most kids due to a dicrepancy between german and australian school years ;-)

So for one brief half year I was the coolest kid in class with the aid of my Dad's Landcruiser (wipes nostalgic tear from corner of eye)

The young ones - they grow up so fast now

At my school only a very small proportion of people had their own car during year 12. And none of them were nice. One kid had a Q's Silvia, and he was king of the hill :P.

Due to being skipped ahead a year in primary school (nerd!!!) I didn't get my license until half way through 1st year university. Then I got to drive around in the powerhouse that is my mother's automatic 1995 Hyundai Lantra.

Even worse, I couldn't drink alcohol in the tavern at uni until half way through first semester of 2nd year!!! Damn being young!!! The advantage is that I am only 20 years old, but I have my engineering degree and I am in full time engineering work :( .

Haha, pimpin' yo!

Just about everyone in years 11 & 12 at my school had their license, so there were usually cars as far as the eye could see outside. I just thought it was great when my mum didn't have to work and I got to take her little silver 'Rolla instead of catching the bus XD

    • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
