im about 95kgs

have a goal to cut down to about 80 by the end of next month for QLD trip...

reason: to fit in my old clothes, for the ladies, and to feel better

plan in action: eat less. No snacks/junk food. Only a can of soft drink for lunch and a lunch feed usually subway foot long BMT. Go for a 15 min-30 min walk at lunch. Run every nite after work non stop for about half an hour to an hour on a non leveled terrain.

Is my goal achievable?

GOod work fatz :P

Alien, 15kg in 6 weeks is dodgey! Maybe you should pick up an eating disorder? If you lost all that weight that quickly you'd have no energy to make use of all the pretty girls u take home

Darko - Your attitude is half way there! But 15kgs in a month isn't good! You should be focusing on body composition rather than actual weight!

I know I'm no pinnicle of health, but I am a qualified coach and have spend my fair time studying the bodies reactions to different food to develop power, peak weights and general overall health etc... aswell as putting this into practice.

Your body will be drawing on the wrong type of energy.. you should be seeking muscle gain aswell as fat loss and restricting the eating isn't a way to get it in my opinion! IF you continue doing this, what Matboy said about not having the energy to impress those ladies of yours won't be just a smart ass comment!

Eat lots of food, of the good kinda, snack lots (on the good shit!)...boost the metabolism with high nutrient foods and keep up the running! You should be maximising the energy burning process with these foods, restricting the intake will just retard (haha i said retard) the process.

Don't forget to invest in good running shoes if you are doing an hour a night. I can't stress the importants of this! I have stress fractures in my shins from too much running and bad shoes. One day you'll wake up and go.. shit my legs hurt and you'll have shin splints just like that!

On that note, I'm going to the pub to drink lunch.

Coach Liz.

About a month n a bit ago I bought 1 of the 'kicstart' packages I heard being advertised on the radio heaps. I dropped 3.8kg in the first 5 days (no kidding) but then the long weekend started, followed by the week after with another long weekend. My goal was 98.2kg -> 89.9kg however I havent started back up again after those public holidays took their effect

Anyway basically I just cut out all snacks, had a light lunch, had 1 choc kicstart shake for dinner followed by a big bowl of choc icecream and around 2L of water a day. If I felt like snacking whilst out working i'd either drink water or eat minties and that was enough to get me thru until lunch or dinner. The kicstart shakes filled me right up, didnt even feel like eating.

thanks for the info lizo, maybe 15 kgs is a bit far fetched but at least 10kgs should be relatively doable

i still eat good... just got pasta carbonara for lunch... and a can of coke zero... then im gona go for a walk...

i use the Nike Shox L6s and feels pretty good

i know that walking is more friendly on the joints and stuff but running simply covers more distance quicker so I definately preffer it.

I think you can probably get pretty close!!!!

Just cutting out soft drink made me lose 10 kg in a little ever a month and I changed nothing else

carbs are the enemy!!! you need to be eating protein. protein makes your brain think you are full so you dont eat as much.. it doenst make you put on weight either

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
