Nice work keeping it upright during all of that btw.

My least favourite sound in the world is that SSSSHHHCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRR noise of fairing plastic sliding down bitumen.

And as you slide along nearby, knowing that even in a minor crash every second that sound goes for is another thousand bucks at best....

SSSHHHHCCCCRRRR - Kaching! $1000

SSSHHHHCCCCRRRR - Kaching! $2000

SSSHHHHCCCCRRRR - Kaching! $3000

SSSHHHHCCCCRRRR - God no make it stooooop!!! $4000

*shudder* the sound haunts me in my dreams :D

Ever tried standing up after a crash only to realise that you haven't actually stopped sliding yet? Pretty funny to watch - so i am told. :)

I can imagine it'd be amusing to watch... I'm not in a hurry to give someone that opportunity though haha

Mind you I've come a cropper on dirt bikes a few times, and there's ALWAYS someone around to witness it :D

Me neither... ;)

the bikes back together... :P

went for a quick squirt today (had the day off) and im happy as larry

(assuming larry is happy that is)

Larry is always happy mate.

I assume a wheelie was on the cards?

I've always wanted to ride bikes but I'm too dangerous in a car so I think it would be a bad idea.

on a sidenote, because i didn't want to start a fresh topic, and doing a general search didn't find any result,

if I go with a Greddy plenum, do you still retain side feed injectors, or do you have to go top feed?

cheers

You can run either. The side feed ones go straight in. Top feed ones will need to have a rail to go with. They come with spacers etc to fit them. Just make sure you check with your injector supplier to make sure you get the right equipment.

I assume you are asking because you want to use your side feed ones?

cheers for that

I am just slowly picking up parts here and there as i come across them, and am not planning on putting them in until i have most of the hardware, to save on install costs, and on time the car is off the road.

at the moment haven't decided whether to go with a front facing plenum or not, so just checking that if i do decide to go ahead with it, i won't be wasting money buying side feed injectors.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
