Imagine the people, the places, the things you once knew were not gone, were not dead but never existed. What type of hell would that be?

A Beautiful Mind

A great movie but such a terrible tale of what happened to an absolute genius. It's funny how life gives us so much but then cripples us when we least expect it. The entire concept of having what you perceive to be reality being pulled out from under your feet is truly shocking.

Food for thought. :)

was also watching.

really like the movie.

and is 'based on a true story', so even more thought provoking.

just stop and think for a second, how do you know every single person you have spoken to exists?

you dont.

you cant.

but, we take it for granted.

I've seen it a number of times. One of my favourites. A little like Donnie Darko and Donnie Brasco. The idea of completely destroying someone's reality, that's crazy!

So it's after 10pm and I've just got in from another silly day of work. I'm in Cairns. I've been up since 4.30am this morning for the privilege. Time poor? We all are.

So I notice that the whoretown has gone off the handle today and thought this is going to be a good read. Well I was wrong. I think that all that has been said in regards to the issues with SAuQLD.com is all that needs to be said.

I'm not impressed with the animosity of the whole discussion, regardless of who thinks they're in the right. I am not negating the value of individual opinion on topics that affect the individual or the greater Club, however I do condemn personal sledging, baiting, taunting, etc.

I have full confidence in our current exec team and extended committee, their ability to get the job done and their integrity. We all do things in the little time we have for the Greater Good of the Club. To grow and sustain the activity of the club takes a significant amount of time and effort, and I know that each and every exec and committee member takes the utmost pride in the way we go about things. We are not deceitful, we are not secretive, nor do we have personal agendas for the running of the club.

These guys (collective) have not only been undertaking their daily jobs, executed their Club role duties as well as sustained family commitments, they have taken up the slack in my recent absence. I feel guilty for the amount of work they have been putting in for the running and developing the Club. I appreciate the hard work they all put in and would hope that the rest of the club do the same.

I would like to see some more active member involvement. It is your club, not ours. If you want to see a specific event run, there is nothing preventing you from making it happen. Talk to us, we are not here as dictators, we will try to assist you with getting an event happening. We are here to facilitate the running and growth of the club and as such have to take motion from the majority.

Now lets all hold hands and sing Cumbaya.

Peace.

Scott

Working from home, My son got suspended for defending himself...should of just beat the kid senseless, school teacher stood by when he was hit in the head from behind and let the kid unload on him before he fought back (trying to do the right thing waiting for the teacher to stop it) then they suspend him for the same amount of time as the kid that attacked him.

Yep sounds like Qld education, so you've got company at home this week at least... Kinda hard to be pissed off at the boy if it wasn't his fault

Yeah, I am not mad at him.

He went to the teacher like he was told to and they stood there and watched, When he did unload on the other kid he busted him up pretty good so i don't think there will be a repeat from him.

I had to argue with the principle about it so I asked him " If I was to start beating the shit out of you now would you expect one of your staff to intervene and at what point when they don't would you start to fight back?"

This reduced the suspension by a day at least.

If you were in a zombie apocalypse and could only have four weapons, what would they be?

1 primary gun

1 secondary gun

1 melee weapon

1 vehicle or misc weapon

.50 Desert Eagle

Some kind of 9mm semi auto

katana

bushmaster sounds pretty sweet

Oooh so this is the non secret whoretown... can't tell special stories about buntz in here ;)

Tell them in the secret whoretown then ;)

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
