what was the deal with the original pda comment? saying you are at a formal on a pda when there are hot girls there says you are a nerd. if there were hot girls at a formal i wouldn't be in the corner on a pda, i'd be out chatting up the chicks.

Some search for the V, others the O

......... :)

Hmm, interesting thread - what happened was unlucky indeed - but its something that could have been easily avoided. If someone cuts in front of you - u have the right to beep the horn, or flash the headlights. If they do anything further (like slam on the brakes) - no need to get annoyed/angry and go beside them and wind down the windows etc - take their numberplates. Since you were near the police station, u could have just gone in and gotten them to chase him up. This way, your car is safe, and more importantly your safety. Sounds like a cowards way out? No way in hell is that a cowards way out.

These days, you never know what people are carrying in their cars. I used to carry a cro-bar in my car eversince some dudes threatened me at Monash. But stop for a moment, take a few deep breaths, think rationally - and everything will be fine.

If you really wanted to pick a fight with him, make sure that (1) you can take him on, and (2) be prepare for any charges against you if you do drop him to the pavement/road and he gets injured.

Pretty much everyone here is a rational skyline driver, so lets keep it that way and not get on to the papers as if we are the only hoons around - just learn to ignore what the other idiots are saying about us and our cars. Even if its racism - if it dont bother you, it will bother them more.

like the bouncer the punched cricketer david hookes, that went to court on manslaughter charges.

thats the smart poersons way out. shows that you have a bit of self preservation. as i said earlier, rather keep my front teeth, or my life. can't be too cool if you have to eat all your meals through a straw.

Hahaha...just imagine, you pick up a chic with your sweet r32/33/34, take her to some fancy restaurant - waiter brings a proper meal for her and some soup like thing for you - u pick up your fancy straw - wink at her, then proceed to suck the soup through the straw....ahahhahaha....(im sorry, but when i read what mad082 wrote, i had the funniest image in my head)

nah h4rdc0r3 g4ng5t3r like anjoo could never back down !!!!

haha...i just read that formal post. Now if I was at a formal, and if i was surrounded by hot chics, i wouldnt whip out my PDA and read threads! Dude go get some action!!! :)

(atleast thats how I understood it)....damn it i just realised i have another exam to study for....

Justin911 - well, I dont wanna generalise, but the dandy area is known for its hardcore nuts. Shoudl have seen this gang that was there one thursday night - I swear, they were up to no good man - bandanas, gangsta wear, their lil 'hos behind them - it was like compton, cept it was in dandy.....

I dont see anjo0 as being a hardcore - he probably is going through that stage that most kids go through at school. "u mess with me, I f*ck u up" stage.....it will go away when he gets a bit older (i hope).

errr arent those guys usualy like 14-15 ?? :)

Mate (anjo0) all u are and ever will be is a toy. For starters, you think that you are so much better than everyone else in this forum because you drive a 34. Why? There are that many cars out there (including other skylines) that are that much faster, better looking, and dont have such a wanker behind the wheel driving them. Just cause you drive a newer model car, doesnt make it any better than any other car owned by people on this forum.

Secondly, mate u could have just seen this accident, and claimed it to be your own just to get some attention. Seeing as i guarantee you see so little at school. Like who in their right mind would sit at their school formal on a pda looking at these posts?! Only someone with so little friends would do such a thing. Mate their is a world far greater than cars out there.

Lastly, the reason why people have flammed up at you is because u start pointless threads, where alot of bullshit has come. No wonder no one believes you, you lie so much. In future, keep it to yourself, tell all the "mates" you want to at school, but dont come here looking for pity.

Hmmm....you do have a point there J. Maybe he is one of these guys:

Only kiddin anjo0 - but seriously mate, you could have avoided this one if you just took your foot off the gas.

Where are the pics of the car?

Apparently its been taken to South melbourne - so he probably didnt have time to take pics as he was late for his english exam....im curious to see it as well (not cos i want proof, but just wanna see how bad it was)

Hmmm while people are active, what do you guys think about: http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...rch_distance=25

( 1990 Tommy Kiara's fully rebuilt M18ISNA S13 silvia circult car probably the only one in the world )

Just cause, I'm on my P's with the turbo restrictions ( NSW ) for another two years, and that looks pretty unique, I'm kind of interested in it.. Although the c18de seems like a weak ass thing.. opinions?

ignuz - i seen that car before - i was considering buying a silvia for a daily driver - i dont think i can trust that ad though - but having said that, the ca18det is supposed to be a very strong unit - the guy i was speaking to (his now runs a ca20det) says that his silvia has done heaps of klms, and he drives hard, but it still goes really strong....so i dunno man...its a good engine, but htat particular car i dunno

who said my dad ever bloody bought me that car...i saved up 8-9grand...they took that from me and just added the rest....and tell me wen did u get ur 33 and how much u earned.....i dont no know one who could save up even a few grand at my age.....it seeems every skyliner i see is 20+ and im damn proud of how hard i work for my age.
i didnt get a loan...the money was from my parents.....21g yeh...so wat

You do realise you just contradicted yourself. Having your parents either give you money or buy you the car is the same thing. The coin is still coming out of their bank account.

I bought my R33 when i was 17. I worked my ass off to save the coin and i'm damn proud that i could afford such an awesome car at such a young age, without having to ask my parents for money, or loan money from a bank.

Talk all you want about the R34 mummy and daddy bought you, its still two thirds their car, but dont talk shit about my R33 - every cent that goes in to that car is mine, and im damn proud of that.

Saved about 15500 myself, borrowed an extra 3grand off the folks.....but im 24 :D

I wasted heaps on women :) , and a lot on my beagle :P

    • Lets say I wanted to buy this, specifically for this purpose. How do I actually perform the function. Can I still buy a Consult-1? Am I about to be burned by the fact my car is a 2000 model Series 2 R34 and thus will be some stupid other system? Do I just need this -> https://obd2australia.com.au/product/nissan-consult-14-pin-to-usb-ddl-diagnostic-interface-with-ftdi-ft232r-chip/ And with what software?
    • That's probably OK. That's a face to face compression joint between two surfaces with the clamping load provided by those bolts. So.... it's unlikely that the bolts will end up feeling that load in shear, unless the clamping surfaces are not large enough, bolts not got enough tension on them, etc etc to prevent the two faces from moving wrt each other. Which... I would hope the designers have considered, seeing as it's probably one of the most important things the upright has to do apart from resist collapsing in its own right. But yes, it would definitely be worth asking them what their safety factor on that part of the design was. I tend to think that the casting, being a casting, is not necessarily the strongest bit of material in the world. It's about an inch square, and when you think about the loads that are being put into it, you have to wonder what safety factor the Nissan boys (and every other OEM engineer who has designed all the millions of other uprights that look essentially the same) used to account for defective casting, aging, severe impacts on the wheel, etc etc.
    • Those bolts would be orders of magnitude stronger that cast aluminium though.  And its mainly clamping force, not shear they are dealing with?
    • Except all that twisting force that is breaking a cast piece, appears to be going through 4 bolts in the picture Johnny posted of the BryPar one...
    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).
