Well done Mikey who won RWD 6 with 240 rwkw from his R33 GTST

I Think the big news is Anthony Scalis massive numbers from a dunger motor put together in a week, 2.6l capacity and all. The nutter decided 10000 rpm on a stock crank would be a good idea!

Pics say it all !

Well done Yoda, your a legend!

Very well done, congrats to both. Suprised about Mikey winning with those figures, I would have thought a few more cars would have got on with more than 400 at least! But that wouldn't stop me from being happy if my car was there :)

So is Ant's car back at a 2.6L stroke? He took out the 2.8L kit did he?!. Seems he has new cam covers too because his other ones were HKS custom painted. Well done Mikey also, 240kw is a nice figure.

Next year for me too when I finally get my Do Luck kit kitted.

Mikey, do you have any sauwa stickers? I didn't see any so just wondering if you're flying the flag! :)

Was a different engine altogether, built about a week ago from parts they had there!

Unfortunately this year sauwa didn’t enter auto salon...

I was originally not going to enter but i was asked by my mate who runs Ti (team integrated), to enter with them so i did :)

And thanks everyone for your nice comments :(

a good mate of mine was in TI, he went over to Sydney though. used to drive a blue R34 GTT.

good stuff guys!

Jay? Hes one of my best mates, im spewing he missed the show by a week, hes was pretty cut too. Was good to finally get the car out and about. More to come but, bring on western salon :)]

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys.

Steve

Nice HP Figure Mikey - Bout time that ping machine showed something impressive :pirate:

Engine sounded nice and clean during the run verrrryy smooth!

P.S. 2835 Pro S, PFC, Injectors etc - surely that's good for about 350rwhp ?

What boost did you run on the dyno?

In all my tired excitement of last night, forgot to say well done to B0BB0 who came 2nd overall with 525 4wd hp in his 32 GTR

So Yoda powered GTR's take 1 and 2 at salon.

Considering the year hes had, im sure hes smiling right about now!

    • I'm normally copping my own abuse from neglecting my daily drivers. "Those suspension bushes will last a bit more", "Don't worry about the oil leak, just keep topping it up". The project cars I'm always doing things slowly on them as I'm wanting them to be done better, and neater, and nicer. Luckily I don't have to deal with 18 year old Matt's "Learning to wire" stuff in the project cars. And there's only one piece of wiring I'm displeased about in the Landcruiser, and it's about to be cut out... However, the box loads of parts that have been going through this place lately for the Landcruiser... Brake pads Brake Rotors Full handbrake overhaul Wheel Bearings Seals Swivel hubs Steering Boxes Half the suspension joints Shocks Air bags (Ones to go in the rear springs for towing) Water pump Timing kit Lower timing case Harmonic Balancer Radiator Lots of other little seals and shits Gas struts for the bonnet New power window switches And god knows what else I've forgotten... Ha ha ha I have my fingers crossed the pinion seals don't start leaking on the diffs, that the transfer case doesn't leak, and the gearbox input shaft doesn't leak, nor the rear main seal. As they're about the only seals I haven't replaced in the driveline! I'm seriously eyeing off buying new caliper rebuild kits front and rear brake calipers... I'll probably recheck all the valve clearances soon too, and hopefully, it should be all good and sweet to haul some long distance trips again!
    • Every time I pull my 3x gauges out of the console and see the crack-addict way that I did the wiring, and I just can't bring myself to tear it all apart and "make it nice", because it is currently working. In fact, the last time I was in there I probably made it worse.
    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
