CeJay, if the R33 standards fit, then mine should be right for you as well. I'm waiting on when Jarrod needs them, but if they are right for you and are not at the same time as Jarrod needing them, shouldn't be an issue.

Hey guys,

I'm looking to swap my coilpacks for some Splitfires just for a day. I got a tune today and fell 4psi short of what I was going to run due to misfire. I wanna get the next tune out of the way quick and then not drive the car much after so if someone has some Splitfires that we could do a quick swap with that should be great. Its an R32gts-t so RB25 series 1's and RB26 coils will be fine.

Cheers,

Adrian

Hi all,

Bought my first skyline on Monday, i decided to get the stock wheels instead of the 19inch ones one the car. buuut they dont have enough tread to pass an inspection for rego. so does anyone have some street legal/stock r33 gtst wheels with decent rubber on them OR some rubber to fit 205/55/r16 that i could buy?

the inspection is this Friday (23rd) so its kinda urgent =/

thanks

Hi all,

I'm doing an engineering project on looking into the heat dispersion in R33 GTS-T brake calipers using thermal imaging. This will involve me doing testing on the brake calipers in a lab then comparing them against the brake calipers in my R33 GTS-T.

To do this though, I'm needing to get standard 4 pot and 2 pot front and rear brake calipers. Does anybody have these for an R33 GTS-T that they are willing to let me borrow for the next few months? I only need one of each and won't damage them in testing. I'm also willing to pay to be able to borrow them.

This will save me having to spend a huge amount of money, so if anybody could help me out, I would be deeply thankful.

Thanks,

MJ.

(with any luck) as of Friday the 27th I will have the following available to lend people for testing purposes:

R33 GTS-T series 1 ECU

R33 GTS-T series 1 AFM

R33 GTS-T series 1 coilpacks (5/6 are JJR coilpacks, 1/6 is standard)

R33 GTS-T series 1 injectors

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
